Stephanie slipped into her shoes and headed to her vanity, she wanted to check to make sure everything was ok before he got here. She had spent almost two hours picking out her outfit and another hour doing her hair and make-up. She had straightened her hair then turned right around a curled it lightly. What was the occasion one may ask? Her date with Dominic. She wanted everything to be perfect and this time they wouldn’t have to rush to school, and hopefully she wouldn’t go crazy like last time. With most guys Steph wouldn’t go through all this trouble but Steph felt something was different with Dominic.
Even though the date wasn’t anywhere real special, it was just at her new house, but why not look great? She was comfortable with Dominic, but she really wanted for him to think good of her. Stephanie still had another thirty minutes to spare before he got here. She went to the kitchen and polished the counters and swept the floor, and then she moved to the den and vacuumed the floor and did her best to put all of Laurens toy’s away putting some in her bedroom. Steph looked back at her watch; she still had about ten minutes. She went to her room and checked her clothes, make-up, and hair again. She re-did her hair in about two minutes knowing it was already as curly as she wanted it to be. The sliding glass door was open, cooling down the house just a tad bit, but it was only a comfortable kind of cool. It was mid-afternoon and the heat was killing her. She had been watching romance movies all morning, and now she was stuck in her dreamland of romance.
The house was relatively empty, Amelia had taken Lauren to the park for a little while to get rid of her bottled up energy. Stephanie wiped off the tan leather couch and rearranged the flowers on the table (for the fifth time now). Everything was set to go . Stephanie collapsed on the couch, and not even two minutes later there was a knock at the door. “Just a moment” Stephanie looked at her clothing real quick than rushed to the door. She unlocked the dead-bolt and opened the door.

Dominic had a date, he had to pinch his self yet again just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming and would wake up and none of this could be happening. The whole conversation he and Stephanie had he couldn’t help but smile, and a few days before when they kissed. He had a feeling it wasn’t going to just end there and so far he had been right, and he was happy about that. A part of him really liked Stephanie, from what everyone say in the chat they were honestly quite flirty although Dominic hardly knew how to flirt having never done this before. He never had the need to before was all, never having a girl liking him in till Steph came along. He smiled at thought of her as he stepped out of the shower pulling on the clothes he picked out. It was just a plain shirt with jeans and shoes, a plain but very nice choose. The shirt was one of his favorites, and though it was hot outside he found his self in jeans. It was jeans and a tee shirt, so it was fine for the occasion. He wanted to nice for Steph and he did, he actually looked really nice.

He wanted to look nice for her and he did, he looked really nice today. Tying his shoes he took a deep breath fixing his hair in his mirror before putting on his watch checking the time, “alright ready to go” he said before walking out of his house, heading to his car. He had to drive there, but knew it wouldn’t take too long. Getting in he started it, and was on his way. About ten minutes and he’d be there, pulling up at her house he took another deep breath. “Alright Dom you can do this” he said quietly to his self getting up and walking up to the front door knocking a couple times. “Just a moment” the very sound of her voice made him smile as he stood there waiting for the door to open, and when it did he smiled even more. Steph looked great, “wow you look wow” he said not even sure what to say at the moment.

Stephanie opened the door, what she saw surprised her Dominic looked great (as always) she thought as she blushed at his compliment. “You to Dominic” She said as she hugged him. “Why don’t you come in and take a seat? “ Stephanie led him to the couch, being careful to not walk to fast in her heels. She sat him down on the couch then went to go get the sweet tea she had made earlier. As she entered the kitchen she forced herself to breathe easy, and to calm herself down. She leaned against the counter with her back against and took long steady breaths. Then she took out two glasses from the cabinet and filled them with ice, then added the sweet tea. Stephanie checked her clothing then she carried the two glasses back into living room and joined Dominic. “Here’s your tea, I made it fresh right before you got here.” She handed him his glass then joined him next to the couch. “So what do you think of the place?” Stephanie had really wanted to ask someone that question, she had been waiting forever. She and Amelia had decorated it and now it was comfortable and stylish(not to mention spotless from Steph’s nervous cleaning). Stephanie turned so her back was against the arm rest so she could completely look at Dominic. She had been nervous for the hours that lead up to this moment, but it was a good kind of nervous.

Dominic was trying extra hard to look great today though, his hair was fixed perfectly, and his clothes were just as perfect. Although his hair was still slightly damp seeing as he only got out of the shower less than an hour ago, he was okay with that though. At least he took a shower; that was all he cared about because he knew he needed one. After not taking one the day before, he needed to take one today and that was just what he did and now he both looked good and smelled good and that was what he was aiming at. Dominic wanted to look his best for Stephanie, because he really liked her and since she was his very first kiss that only made things even better. It made his chances even better to, and yes for never having a girlfriend before people did ask his he was gay. In till now at least, now he was glad to finally had his first kiss and hopefully after today he would have his first ever girlfriend.

He just really had to cross his fingers for that to happen, and he was going to do just that to. As soon as the door opened he was blown away and had to comment on Stephanie’s outfit and just how she looked and when she commented back he smiled, “thanks” he said quietly looking down at what he was wearing before walking into the house and sitting down as she left the room. Looking around the place he smiled, either Stephanie was quick to clean or the house was clean beforehand. He had a feeling she just cleaned it before he got here, and that made him laugh a little bit.”Thanks” he took a sip of his tea, “it’s really nice” he nodded his head. “I like it”.

Stephanie was glad Dominic thought the house was nice, she had only worked forever on it, she was quite distracted on how great he looked to say much back. Before Dominic had gotten here Stephanie had put on some music so if there was a awkward silence, it wouldn't be to silent. The same CD though was now skipping and it was almost obvious and it was annoying Stephanie."Hold that though" She said as she got off the couch (trying to be graceful) and walked to the Cd player next to the TV, oddly enough her hands fumbled trying to get the CD out. She took out the CD and pushed her hair behind her ears and out of her face to see the CD more clearly. There wasn't any scratches, but some weird substance had made its way onto it and Stephanie hadn't noticed before she had put it in. Since she refused to spit on it with Dominic there she decided to just put in another disc. She looked up and down the rack of discs and settled in for one of the newer "NOW" CD's. Once she popped it in and pressed play she walked back to the couch and sat down. Leaving her arm to rest along the back of the couch behind Dominic. "So how have you been?"

Dominic was just wondering what to say and hoping that he didn’t sound stupid with whatever he did say, something he had the tendency of doing at times. The music was playing though so if he had nothing else to say he could just stop and listen to the music at the time and if anyone knew Dominic even a little, they knew he loved music and he loved all kinds of music. When he wasn’t listening to music he was either playing music or writing music, or even just humming.

Music was a very big part of his life and anyone who knew him knew that and understood that, they would never take him away from his music. Without music he was like nothing, when the CD started skipping he frowned and watched Steph as she walked over to the CD player to change the CD. Probably didn’t want to clean it with me here he thought, “me I’ve been pretty good. Writing songs a lot more lately, It just gives me something to do I suppose” he shrugged. He loved writing songs.

“Writing music is so hot.” Stephanie said the words and automatically covered her mouth wither her hand. She had said that without thinking, which she had done a lot recently. Stephanie put her head in her hands and started laughing. She didn’t laugh like a maniac just a quite laugh to herself. She really was a expert at making herself looking like a idiot recently, if it only paid. “I am so sorry.” Stephanie smiled and forced herself not to laugh. Stephanie took another sip of her tea, hoping she wouldn’t embarrass herself by choking on the lemon, or ice, or the drink itself. Stephanie wasn’t usually the one to be like this so anything was possible. She could probably choke on air if it was possible. Stephanie stood, and grabbed her glass and walked to the sliding glass window. She stood against it, something was off about her recently. Stephanie was being overly dramatic, even though Dominic was the first boyfriend she had since well , she really hadn’t had one. Her only other boyfriend had been the one she had taken from her sister, and even then it was just a small take and break up. That had been over almost three years ago. It had been almost three years since she talked to her older sister. The only time she had seen her was when she had came down for Christmas a year ago. Even then though, she had only said hey to Stephanie and then she acted like she wasn’t even there.

Dominic blinked slightly when Stephanie said writing music was hot, not that he minded it at all really. He took it as a compliment, one that she was saying he was hot which he highly disagreed with. He had it in his mind he was the farthest away of that; he was just a music geek that sometimes wore glasses. “Steph it’s alright really” Dom put his glass down before standing and walking over to her, “although I don’t think anything about me is hot. You should actually see me in my glasses; I look like a total nerd. I guess that may be the reason I hardly wear them but I’m not sure, I actually should be wearing them and I have them with me right now” he said before pulling them from his pocket and putting them on. “There geeky Dominic even wears glasses” he said with a smile, he was trying to at least make her a little less embarrassed if it was actually even possible.

Stephanie laughed at Dominic and his glasses. Not because he looked geeky, but because he actually looked pretty cute in them. "You actually look really cute in them Dominic!" Stephanie looked over a saw her glasses right on top of the end table. She only needed them for reading, and she refused to wear them. Stephanie put down her tea and picked up her glasses and put them on. They weren't just everyday glasses that most people wore, No, these were wire rimmed circular glasses that made her eyes look huge. "Your not the only one" Stephanie looked at Dominic with her (now) big eyes. She didn't understand why they made her eyes so huge, or why even though it was a low prescription, that they weren't most glasses. "I usually wear eye contacts I mean look at these things!" Stephanie smiled and laughed. She hated her glasses, she had worn them since forever ago, maybe third grade.

Dominic frowned when Stephanie laughed at him, he hated wearing his glasses which was just why he hardly ever wore them. “Laughing at me is not nice, whether I look cute or geeky in them and thanks. I only really wear them for school, but I sit near the front of the room so I don’t need them often. I may where them more now them” Dominic smiled at her when she put her glasses on. “Those aren’t bad Stephanie, you look really cute” he kept his smile walking over to her and hugging her. “I mean that to you know, I really do” he said shaking his head, “you always do though. I don’t really think that matters to much though” he sighed a little bit. "Don't you ever say you aren't because you will lose".

"I wasn't laughing because I thought you looked funny, I was laughing because..because I think you actually look cute." Stephanie felt bad now, she hadn't been trying to hurt his feelings. Stephanie took of her glasses and set them back on the table. She looked back at Dominic. "I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings" Stephanie put her hand on his shoulder and looked into his eyes. She really did feel bad, and she really liked his complement. She almost melted when he said she looked cute, but thank goodness she didn't no reason to embarrasses her self further. Stephanie sighed and took her hand off of his shoulder. She looked down at the ground. "So uh Dominic do you want to officially go out with me?" Stephanie was hoping he would be the one to ask, but she felt like he wasn't going to, so she wanted to take action.

“I know what you meant Steph, it’s okay really” Dominic said shaking his head slightly with a small smile. He really didn’t even get his feelings hurt, he just was a little unhappy that she laughed at him. Okay he wasn’t at all, he was actually joking a little bit right now and her question sorta surprised him. He wasn’t use to the girls asking the guys the question, but he knew he wouldn’t being so nervous and unsure if she would say yes, “you mean like you be my girlfriend. Yes of course yes, I love really like if if you were my girlfriend Stephanie” he said nodding his head.

Stephanie did her little happy dance in her head, she was very happy now. She smiled at him, and then she hugged him tightly, she put him at arms length and kissed him. It couldn't be described as a exactly passionate kiss, just a kiss to show him how happy she was about them officially being together. Stephanie took Dominic's hand and led him back to the couch and plopped down. She had put in a movie earlier and decided now would be a good time to watch it.She grabbed the controller and turned on the movie, "I hope you don't mind, but I thought it would be cool if we watched a movie. Its not a scary one its a comedy." Stephanie pressed play on the move and laid her head on his shoulder. The movie was some comedy were a guy told a bunch of lies and was forced to live them like he told them. Stephanie chuckled, but only slightly so she wouldn't look like one of the girls who laughed at everything.

Dominic was very happy to finally be together his self, it made him really happy to know he wasn’t going too stuck alone now and he was glad about that. It was even better that he was with Stephanie, he was very happy to be with her now and couldn’t stop smiling. When she led him back to the couch he sat down and nodded, “its fine with me I’m not all that into horror movies. They are okay but sorta boring to me, you can just tell everything is fake in them and it just seems to make no sense” he had his own opinion of certain things sometimes and that was just his opinion about horror movies. He also didn’t mind her laying her head on his shoulder at all, in fact he was pretty happy that she did. He was really pretty happy that she did, it gave him reason to look at her every few times.

The movie so far was hilarious, but it was hard for Stephanie to pay any attention at all to it.Dominic was right there, clouding her mind, making it hard for her to focus. She needed to clear her mind, and steady herself. Stephanie jumped and grabbed both the glasses of tea. Now was a good time to refill them. "Be right back!" Stephanie said, she was already in the kitchen by time the words left her mouth. She put the two glasses down on the counter next toe fridge. She took three calming breaths, one to steady himself, the other one to clear her head, and the last one for good measure. Dominic had been the only boy who was able to make her act so ditzy and Steph shook her head at herself as she put more ice in the two cups. Stephanie refilled the the cups sacrificing the last of the tea. She quickly put tea bags in the pot and filled it to its max with more water. She threw away the paper and grabbed the cups. She stopped at the door and took one last breath, then walked out back to Dominic."Heres your tea!" Stephanie handed him his cup and put a smile on her face when there hands brushed.
