Steph grabbed her bags and walked out of the house. She cheked her make-up and hair before she left the big house in the suburb. She wanted to look really nice for her "date" with Dominic. Even tohugh he only thought of it as innocent little study party Steph was going to wow. She had not had a real boyfriend since her sister's and she wanted to go back out. After her IM with him, Steph felt as if he was a really nice guy. Hopefully she would be able to not only get a good grade on her literature test but a new boyfriend, the very idea made her buzz with excitement. Her train of thought was only broken a tad bit when she had to get out of the car and go inside the library. She checked herself out one more time than she walked in. She walked into the library to the counter to get her card. Then she walked to the bathroom. He wasn't there yet and she wanted to make sure looked nice. Once in the bathroom, she combed her again re-applyed her make-up just a tad bit (she was going for the natural look) then she washed her hands and but on some perfume. Stephanie was never one of those girls who did that a lot of the time but she really wanted to impress this boy.When she walked out to see if he was there. He still wasnt so she went to one of the tables and took out everything she oculd study with. Stephanie really had no idea why she was so excited.

Dominic was just that, a really nice guy who never had his kiss nor did he ever have a girlfriend. It wasn’t that he minded all that much either, right now he was just focused on pulling his grades up and trying to pass literature. After failing the last big test those chances were pretty slim, but he knew he had to keep his fingers crossed and hope for the best right. He thought that was what his mom always use to say. He sighed a little big fixing the sleeve his shirt unsure of why he was even nervous, they were studying right. Studying was nothing to him, although he was tired from staying up late last night and had no idea how that was going to even affect him. He knew he wouldn’t be able to focus much, and having Steph there wasn’t going to help either. Of course he had to admit Stephanie was really pretty, but he wasn’t all too sure he was looking for a girlfriend right now.

Needless to say if a girl found interest in him he wouldn’t be happy, of course he would as long as the girl was right for him. He wasn’t one for getting his heart broken, never knowing what that kind of pain felt like. He had a feeling it hurt, a lot. Heading to the library he looked at his watch, he figured he was late. He was late to a lot of things without trying to be and he had a good reason why he was, he lost his literature book and had to find it. Laughing at his self he walked into the library looking around spotting Steph sitting at a table alone and smiled, girls seemed to say he had a nice smile before heading over to her.

“Hey Steph, sorry I’m a little late. I sorta lost my literature book and had to spend some time looking for it; it ended up being under my bed. I’m really glad I found it” he sat down at the table by her. “I look uh, you look um really nice” he added awkwardly. Yes, Dominic Barnes does not know how to really act around girls.

Steph saw Dominic walk in but she tried to act calm like she did this all the time. She smiled to herself though, when he smiled, boy was that the nicest smile she had seen in a while. He walked over and said some excuse about late,Steph just smiled and said it was OK and that it happens all the time. The he complimented her about how she looked, that threw Steph for a loop her stomach knotted and twisted she felt herself blush. You look great to Dominic" Steph was shocked on how easily the words came out she had thought she would have stuttered. Dominic sat down and they began to study,not that Steph could focus with him right there. While he was talking Steph just looked at him and went into her own little world. Of course she couldn't help but think she really wanted to be his girlfriend or about her awful time with her sister. Why? why had she done it? but even thoughts like that didn't deter Steph off her path of destruction, not today. Steph started to slowly lean closer to him, she couldn't help herself at all!

Dominic didn't like many things about his self, but among the few things that he did like his smile was one of them. People said always to smile, even when you didn't want to because you were feeling low. A smile could always make you feel better, and sometimes with Dominic it did. Right now was one of those times, Dom was feeling just a little nervous right now. It was probably the fact he was actually talking to a girl face to face, which was something he hardly ever did. He got nervous a lot around girls, and Steph was no different. "so uh think we will pass that test" he swallowed hard looking up from his text book at her confused as to why she was leaning closer to him.

Stephanie was going to fail that test. She knew it. Steph had been a totally entranced by the boy's smile and his face and the fact that he was so close to her. He smelt like the cologne her father use to wear. Stephanie couldn't remember one thing they had went over in the past hour. "Your just like I thought you would be over the IM last night." What the heck did Steph just say? She had been talking before she had thought, which was something she usually got in trouble for. She knew she probably just turned him way off, so far off he probably would never talk to her again. What could she do to save herself. Stephanie put her stuff away quickly, but neatly she was a total neat freak everything was put in order in her bag, from her notes to her folders and binders.Even her writing utensils. Steph looked back Dominic. He was looking right at her. Stephanie still felt embarrassed. Today she felt spontaneous and his hand was still on the desk so she put her hand on top of his. His face right there so was his lips his gorgeous smile ran through her mind, once again before she could think she put her lips on his. Just as quick as the kiss started it ended, you couldn't even call it a kiss Steph had just put her lips on his. Now Steph felt dizzy almost. Steph had just went and in her mind ruined what could have been she had moved to fast. Way way way to fast." I'm so sorry!" Steph practically shouted as she stood up.

This whole time Dominic was just a tad uncomfortable, it was only really because he wasn’t use to anything like this never talking much to a girl other than friends before. Never to a girl who seemed to like him, at least from what he was now seeing it sure seemed that way and it wasn’t that he minded. He just wasn’t at all use to it, “is it good that I’m how you thought I’d be?” he asked her looking down at the hands confused even more so now. He stared at their hands for a few minutes before looking back at her. That’s when she kissed him, okay it was hardly a kiss but Dominic felt it and it shocked him. Seeing as that was his first ever kiss and not what he expected it to be, quite and with a girl he hardly knew. “Y-you don’t have to go” Dominic forced out awkwardly, “I mean that was sorta my first kiss and in my opinion it could be a little longer” Dom added in a quick whisper. His fingers were now on his lips and he look almost confused and slightly embarrassed, he had every right to be though as his other hand took a hold of one of Steph’s. “I mean I don’t want you to at least”.

That was his first kiss? Stephanie was shocked, not in a bad way, but she expected him to have had a few girlfriends already!Now she just felt bad.
"I mean I don't want you to at least" The word's almost brought Stephanie to tear's, She actually hadn't had any relationship with her previous boyfriend, she had only dated him out of pure spite. Stephanie sat back down in the wooden library chair and tried not to blush to hard. "I'm sorry that was your first k-kiss."She had felt it right to apologize.Steph was hardly the one to ever stutter, but now she couldn't control it. What was going on with her? Why was there so much tension? Why had she just kissed a boy that she only had talked to over IM and seen in class before. Stephanie looked down at her hand's. Forcing herself not to tap her fingers on the table. What does one do in this kind of situation? Stephanie thought about it, and she decided that in for a penny in for a pound. She looked up at him and kissed him again. This time it was a actual kiss not some stupid peck of the lips. Of course its not like Stephanie was a total expert at this kind of thing. She had only kissed one other boy, and once again in total spite. So this was almost like her first kiss to. She broke the kiss and didn't look at his face put pack down to her hands.

Yes that was Dominic’s very first kiss and in a way he was almost surprised it took that long for him to get it seeing as he was eighteen and girls did like him, he just didn’t seem to like them. No, Dominic wasn’t gay, he was just one of those people who were waiting for the right girl. It was said in his song ‘my kind of perfect’, it was about what he looked for in a girl. In fact he hummed all the time just waiting for that girl to come along, and who knows who that girl could be in his life. “No it’s fine really, I didn’t mind the kiss at all” he said before she kisses him again and longer this time. Which was something he was actually glad about, “ I seem to think you like me, in the short time we’ve talked to each other” he added.

Stephine felt just a bit better know that he said he didn't mind it at all, but only a little bit. She was gonna have guilt now, if she had made a fool of herself for nothing at all.Stephanie smiled back at the boy when he asked her his question. Stephanie put her hair behind her ear and answered only a little embarrassed,"Ya, well I don't know what has come over me" Stephanie gave a little nervous chuckle.

Stephanie broke eye contact long enough to look at the huge wall clock directly in front of them. It was almost time for school to open, and Steph wanted to be there at least a few minutes before to get stuff out of her locker before the hall was to crowded. "Oh wow look at the time you know we should get headed to um..School." Stephanie could stay here all day, but She hadn't missed a day all year.
Do you wanna walk with me? I usually park my car here so its easier to get out after class." Stephanie actually did leave her car here and she most certainly didn't want to walk by herself.Most importantly though, she wanted to walk with Dominic, even though she wouldn't be surprised if he just as easily declined, as she had asked.

Dominic just nodded his head slightly, he had to understand that much seeing as he was kissed a few minutes ago by a girl he hardly knew. A kiss that was also his first kiss that really took him by surprise, but if you were just ramdomly kissed by someone you would probably be surprised to. Although it wasn't like she even minded the kiss though, it was far from that. In fact it was almost a nice kiss and something he was now thinking about, "it's really okay.

Things honestly could have been a lot worse to be honest, I'm not all that sure how but I know for a fact it really could have been" Dominic gave an almost nervous laugh nodding again. "Oh yeah we go there don't we" he said it awkwardly when Steph mentioned the time and the fact that they both had to get to school. They had a test to take, even though now Dominic couldn't focus on much of anything anymore.

"Oh and sure, walking with you would be cool with me" he added with a really quick nod.

After hearing his answer Stephanie scooped up her bag and waited for him to do the same. Kind of-together they walked through the front door of the library and into the already humid morning air. Cars drove by and other kids strolled by in packs or just kind of alone. The walk there wasn't very long but the street was kind of winding and there was a lot of cars this early in the morning. Everything was kind of going as well as Stephanie could have hoped, except for the fact hat she morally embarrassed herself. Stephanie tried to keep a smile on her face and act as shipper as possible. She hoped the humidity wasn't affecting her hair and make-up, you could pack a little bit of make-up but not a full on hair straightener. She felt a lot of tension so she decided to make some small talk while they ambled along. "So do you like school?" Stephanie felt retarded asking such a question but anything to get him talking made it easier for her.

Dominic was just walking with her, close by her to looking around at all the other kids that were walking to school this early morning. They clearly weren't the only ones doing so, he say a few people he knew and a lot of people he didn't. Probably because people he knew drove to school or were no longer in High school, that was just what you get for having friends that are older than you. "Depends on the day, for the most part I do but anything to do with music is my favorite kind of classes" he said. "I'm not quite good with any of the others, so I'm glad to be good in music. It makes it so I fail at life just a little less I guess, but yeah for the most part school is just fine with me" he shrugged.

Stephanie looked back over at him as he shrugged his shoulders." I seriously doubt you fail at life, I mean come on if you did I wouldn't like talking to you so much."Stephanie was just asking for failure today. Stephanie only had on strap on her shoulder and she switched side's it was way to heavy. " So what do you plan to do after this year has ended? I don't know yet what i want to do. " Stephanie guessed he would answer with something along the lines of music. Stephanie really didn't have any idea what she was gonna do but she wanted to do something sociable but she hadn't been accepted to any of the colleges she sent out for.

“People can talk to people who fail at life you know, because a lot of people do just that and sometimes I tend to be one of those people without even trying to be. It just always ends up that way, like getting ad grade in literature. I like reading and all, it’s just the boring teacher I don’t like” Dominic muttered under his breath thinking now. His plans for after school, he was all too sure but he knew it was going to have something to do with music. “Something with music” he laughed, it was an obvious answer that was very easy to guess. “Even if it’s just teaching it I know I want to do something in music in the future, music is a really big part of my life and I know that I want to stick to it if it’s possible” he smiled. “Teaching music would be fun to actually” he added.

" You want to teach music? Do you want to teach at school's or just teach classes you have to sign up for?" Stephanie liked his answer she was right, it had to do with music, but it was also just plain cool. Her uncle had been the one who had taught her piano he did classes for kid's who didn't have enough money for to great of a teacher, but honestly her uncle was great he just rather teach the under privilege kids. Mostly because they wanted to actually take the lessons instead of being forced to by there snobby parents, Sadly, Stephs Uncle had gotten really bad arthritis and had to quit teaching . "My uncle use to teach less rich kids piano, he taught me , even though im not to great at from not keeping up with it. " A car went by just a little to fast over a puddle soaking the kids walking ahead of Stephanie and Dominic. The girl and the guy freaked out, totally drenched. Stephanie felt bad but at the same time she wanted to laugh, not at there misery, but at the fact that it had happened to her so many times and she understood the feeling.
