i like it! addie would definitely be one to make fun of someone like audrey. but, after audrey changed her appearance, addie (being rather shallow) would probably invite audrey to go partying or shopping or something. and, after addie ended up pregnant, she with-drawled somewhat from her usual friends... so audrey and her could probably get closer.

Hi, I've taken the characters of Addie's twin sister, Kayla. From Kayla's secret I wonder whether Addie should be the more confident/popular twin and Kayla always feels like she needs to try harder to be like her. They would still be close but Kayla just always has that underlying jealousy and sadness that Addie is prettier/more liked/generally better than her. What do you think?

hey! so, yeah, i think that you're right. though both girls could still be close, i see kayla being a little less confident. and, i think it'd be interesting if kayla always has that slight jealousy. i could see addie maybe having a tinge of jealousy sometimes, as well. since mikayla would, most likely, get better grades or just seem to impress their parents more from addie's eyes. she'd never really let on to the jealousy, but it'd most likely still be there.

which, could cause some tension between the girls later on or something? i'm sure that if they both were somewhat jealous of the other, it'd be interesting for them. maybe, after finding out she's pregnant, addie would just make a snide comment about how she wishes her life were as good/simple as kayla's and the girl's basically have a mini-argument about how neither of their lives are quite what they seem. kayla isn't as perfect as addie sees her to be, and addie isn't as perfect as kayla sees her. they'd maybe try to force the other to see that.

haha, i don't know if that makes any sense at all. just throwing out random ideas. (: but, i do agree with you on the twin's personalities. feel free to completely scrap this idea or add/change/remove whatever. (:

No, it does make sense and I like it! The idea that they are both jealous of each other for different reasons and both see themselves as being 'worst off' and so can't understand why the other sister would be envious of them.

And I think the pregnancy will be really interesting. Kayla may be really jealous of the attention Addie is getting whereas like you said Addie is resentful of how simple and carefree Kayla's life and how their parents maybe favour well behaved Kayla over her.

Has Addie revealed the pregnancy to anybody yet?

i like it; sounds good then! (: just her one guy friend. other than that, addie's made sure that no one knows. she's worried about their reactions. so instead of dealing with it, she's just kept it to herself.

but, she'll have to tell sooner or later. i think it'd be interesting if kayla were to find out somehow. addie probably wouldn't come right out and tell her, but she wouldn't be completely opposed to kayla knowing. she's just caught up on what people's reactions will be right now. but, kayla finding out could always be a twist in the plot.

Yeah, I'm trying to think of how she might find out. At the moment all I can come up with is that she could find the test, see her diary or her internet history or overhear a conversation.. but they may be a bit cliche. It sounds fun though!
