Sophia eyes flew open as she sat up, her heart racing from the nightmare she always had; If she could avoid sleep all together, she would. So threw her legs over the side of the bed, and stood up. She felt dizzy from standing to fast, but it was better than staying in the bed. She showered, dressed, and slumped to the couch, her head not quite clear yet. It was way to early to paint, even if she wanted to, she would have to drag her stuff out and she didn’t want to do so, instead she rubbed her temples as she listened to the sound of the ceiling fan above her. She thought perhaps she would be used to the nightmares by now, but they still had the same effect on her, just like they had when she was fourteen.
So sat until her head was clear, and realized she had nothing to do that day. It was her day off from school, and the thought of having the day to herself made her smile. She had been busy so much lately, and she was going to spend her day as far as possible from any kind of math or science, if she could help it. She didn’t know what she was going to do quite yet, but she jumped up, pulled on her shoes, and left her messy apartment. She walked were ever she went, which she actually preferred, and would have no problem finding something to do. Lipton was a small town, but Sophia had lived there her whole life, she always found something. So walked down the familiar side walk, smiling as the cool from the previous night still made it bearable to walk in. It would get so hot later in the afternoon, she was glad to have started to walk now.
Sophia walked and walked, taking in the sun that still wasn’t high in the sky, when she suddenly smelled salt water, and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. She walked in the direction of the beach, not having gone there in awhile. The morning sun made the waves glisten and shine, and the sand felt cool before she even stepped on it. There wasn’t many other people, all she could see were a few fishers boats. So smiled and slid off her shoes, and sighed at the feel of the sand on her feet. She thought maybe she had brought a sketch pad or something, the waves looked so pretty at this time of day. She rolled up her jeans and stepped near the waves, the water was cold but she knew how fast it would heat up.
Sophia frowned, This would be so nice to share with someone.....she thought and smiled as she flipped open her cell and called a friend of hers, inviting them over to the beach with her. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note:Sorry if lame Clothes: Cause im bored

Nora spend all her morning in the college completing her notes of all those lectures she missed before the weekend. She even had to attend extra classes for history, one of her favorite subject so the whole time she was occupied by books and lectures in the college and didn't get even a ten minutes break to relax herself. So by the end of the last class she was exhuasted. All she could think of by the end of the day at the college, was both a good nap and hot bath tub as both were relaxing. As soon as she got home, she ran to jump in the tub and took almost half an hour. By the time she was out, she wasn't feeling sleepy anymore but refreshed. She wouldn't be able to sleep now. She tried to read a book but she wasn't in the mood. She wanted to go out and roam around. She received a new text on her cell phone and it rang on the right time. She bumped on her feet when she saw Sophia's text inviting Nora to hang out with her at the beach. Yay, for the girls time. Sophia was turning out to be a really good friend of Nora and she was so glad she met her. Sophia was Brandon's sister and a very nice person.
Nora quickly combed her hair and made her way out of the house and hopped into her car and started driving towards the beach. She wasn't the type to take long walks. Her lymps and legs were swollen half of the time and she felt tired most of the time, thanks to the damn cancer. She was there at the beach within ten minutes drive. She got out of her car and locked it. Then ran off to the beach and started looking around for Sophia. There weren't many people around so she could easily spot Sophia standing at the shore. Nora folded her jeans upto her knees and ran off to Sophia, before taking off her sandles. '' Hey Sophia.'' she placed her hand on her shoulder. '' Thanks for saving me from boredom. '' she stepped at the shore as the waves slipped from under her feet and went away. She loved the feeling of cold water under her feet. '' This used to be my favorite place until my mother passed away. '' she sighed and looked up at Sophia. '' So how have you been?'' she brushed her hair. She tugged her hands into her jeans pocket.

Sophia pulled her wavy, light brown hair into a clumsy ponytail, wanting to feel the little bit of breeze on her neck. Her hair looked like Brandons, or at least the color did. She let the cool waves cover her ankles, loving the feel and smell of them. So hadn’t been to the beach in a while. Actually it had been two summers since she had been. Two summers ago was when she first started dating Kris, but she wasn’t going to think of that today. Instead she unburied a shell with her toe, trying not to think of her stress and full time headache.
Sophia turned at the sound of her name, and was glad to see her friend Nora. She had met her through her brother, Brandon, like she did a lot of the people she knew, through her brothers. Sophia didn’t mind that though, she rarely left the house because of her full time headache (AKA Kris). “Welcome” she chuckled. So smiled sadly at Nora’s next words, she had no idea what it was like to lose a parent, and was glad for that. She knew she was going to have to face that day sooner or later, but for now she was going to be thankful it hadn’t already happened. “Stressed, mostly. You?” she said with a smile, So was a college student, which meant college work. Not to mention family drama, boyfriend drama, friend drama. She really hated drama.
Sophia didn’t have a lot of girlfriends, even though she would be friends with just about anybody. She was glad to be hanging out with such a cool one to, most girls she knew in middle and high school were snobs, and still were. She also hoped to maybe tell Nora about a guy she had met recently, a guy she really liked. This was odd for her because even if a guy winked at her she would turn them down, mostly afraid of what Kris might do if he found out she let a guy make a move on her. She trusted Nora enough to tell her about this, uh, thing she had with this guy. The guy didn’t know, they had just met, but he was all So could think about.
