tagged - lizzie notes- not the best but, okay gunner and 'gavin' have been friends ever since gunner could remember, and 'he' was basically gunner's other half. everything that happened, every thing he had hard time going through, gavin was there right by his side. gavin was basically the comical one of the two of them, he always was there when gunner was down in the dumps. he always had his back, and gunner always had gavin's back. through thick and thin, ride or die, that was how they were ever since they could remember. they were always there for eachother. and now when gunner needed his best friend, it was no different.
he had been in one of his moods, and basically, it was all because his mind had been racing with thoughts. he wasn't sure how to tell anna exactly how he felt, or if he even wanted too. after the first few heartbreaks, that crushed poor gunner, he never really wanted to be able to love again. but, anna was amazing. he couldn't help but want to love her. even gavin said it when they first saw her walk by them. they knew that it would cause something. everyone felt it. he stuffed his hands into his pockets of his tight black jeans and kept walking down the street where he lived.
he seemed to always walk somewhere, and always seem to put his thoughts back together. it seemed to help somehow. but, always at the walk, he ended up right where he needed to be. in the middle of the park was where gunner was standing by the time his feet just let himself walk anywhere. he found himself, in the middle of the lawn to the park, standing there, watching everything. he knew it didn't look too normal. but watching everyone else's life unfold, always made him forget his own. he pulled his cheap little phone out of his pocket, flipping it open, and texting his best friend.
'meet me at the swings, you know the ones no one goes to anymore. in the park. see ya then'
he hit send, and closed his phone. his feet started to move, heading to the part of the park that no one ever seemed to know existed anymore. no one ever went there, not even animals sometimes. back there was a swing set, and there really were only two left. the rest were broken from the years of weather. he sighed, leaning against the pole, waiting for his best friend to arrive at thier spot. ‘Gavin’ other known as Genelle was having ‘his’ own share of issues now a day and if anything his largest was trying not to blow his cover, but that wasn’t easy when you were really a girl pretending to be a guy. Okay he was actually a guy living in a girl’s body and even though his mother hated it and could never see him as a guy he had great friends who accepted him and he knew that they would never see him any differently, and he was glad for that. When Gavin was Genelle he was never happy, in fact he use to burn his skin just to get over the fact he wasn’t happy and being Genelle someone he wasn’t ever going to make him happy.
He was happy with hiding that he was a girl, but trying to be who he wasn’t was hard and something he wouldn’t do and hoped he never had to do. He was Gavin and that was it, he would always just be Gavin and that was something everyone had to understand. Glancing at his sleeve he sighed, he still had to wear long sleeves to cover old burn marks on his arms and he had a feeling that would never change. Those marks would always be there to remind him of who he once was, and what he use to do to his self. That was a very bad time in his life though, and he tried never to think about it now and only few people who knew him knew what he use to do. He wouldn’t show or tell anyone else, because Genelle was dead and he even burned all that remained him of her. Genelle never existed and he liked to believe that, pulling his shoes on he tied the laces heading outside.
Checking his check messages he grinned when he saw the text from Gunnar, “on my way now” he texted back before heading to the park. He didn’t have that long of a walk so when he finally got to the park he headed right to his and Gunnar’s spot seeing him leaning against the pole by the old swings. “Hey” he said walking over to him, “you ya doing?”

gunnar had known that his best friend had gone through the roughest things basically in his life. he understood all about 'his' problems, and what his mother had fought about with him. he hated seeing his best friend go through stuff like that. he just thought that everyone should be who they really think they are, and be happy with it. everyone else should just go away. he laughed at that thought time to time, as well.
he stood there leaning on his post, feet crossed at the end, and staring at the ground. he was wearing his blue converse today. he seemed to always like the bright shows, because it made him happy. he had every color of converse, and alot of other shoes. he laughed, and then soon he felt his phone go off. he flipped it open, and then read it. he just nodded at the text, and slipped it back into his pocket. he barely answered those simple texts. unless it was a girl. well...gavin was a girl, but not to him, gavin was a boy.
suddenly he looked up to hear his best friend talking to him. he laughed, and then said" hey, bro." he looked to the dirt and then said" i'm alright...i guess. just thinking about anna alot."

It was only really fair that he told his best friend about the things that went on his life, no secrets between them and he went by that. He told them about all the bullying he use to go through, he told him how his family still couldn’t see him as anything other than Genelle, he told them everything. It was only the least he could do for them being his friends, even now he was bullied. It was just something he couldn’t seem to avoid and it was also something that he didn’t tell anyone, he didn’t feel the need to bother people with it and besides he was able to handle it on his own for the most part.
A black eye and fat lip was all part of the process, and a few weeks ago he had just that and it really made people mad. No one deserved to be bullied in his eyes. Although that didn’t count for the people who bullied other people, they deserved whatever they got. He was glad when people say him as a boy instead of a girl, because to people who didn’t know the truth about him that was what he was and that was just what he always was going to be.
He was a boy and no one could ever tell him otherwise. Gavin looked at his friend and shook his time, “is there ever a time you really aren’t thinking about her and are thinking about other things. Like say cats, you could always think of cats or fish even. Heck any animal works” yes Gavin was a very odd and random child.

everything that ever went on in gunners head always led right back to anna. he knew that. but, of course there were always other things in his head. how bad life was, his band, his family, how he never slept at all. he had a pretty rocky family, but he always had people he could fall back on, and gavin was one of them. he knew that. he sighed, thinking of things on how his life was, was never the best idea.
thinking of anna was better. he had to agree to that one. she always made him ten times happier. he laughed at his remark, and said" she makes it all seem better, gavin." he looked slightly away and then said" she makes the bad things go away. with one look, it's all better. one touch, i'm better." he smiled, and said" i still haven't told her that." he laughed again, and said" i hate cats, you know that. and i do think of other things. like my band."

A lot seemed to go on in Gavin’s mind to, but the biggest thing was his secret because he knew if people figured out the truth behind his secrets things would get ugly. He heard of transgender students getting beaten up every day and death threats and the very thought of that scared the crap out of him; stuffing his hands in his pockets he took a deep breath. He knew if anything happened to him his friends would have his back, they would never let him handle this all on his own because he knew if he had to he might just end up dead and that was probably the last anybody needed. A mother having to bury her child was never going to be easy.
“I know you hate cats, that’s what you can also think of fish. Think of say a giant fish eating a cat or something, because you know cats eat fish and it could totally be the other way around and Gunner I know geezes. I’ve already started planning the wedding, because one way or another you two will be married” he shrugged his shoulders. He just had some feeling things would all end up that way in the end, "if anything you should be thinking about school" yes Gavin was a total nerd.

he generally laughed at his remarks about fish and cats. his best friend seemed to always cheer him up, or make him feel semi better. he laughed, and then added" cats and fish don't mix, bro. just like me and cats don't mix." he laughed at his own joke. that was good. but it was true. cats hated gunner, and gunner hated cats. he was a dog person. he knew that truly. he sighed and then said" fish are borning, gavin. dogs are better. you do know that right?"
married. well, he never really thought of himself of the marrying type in his life. he never really saw himself as the father type either. he couldn't picture his life ten years down the road, or even five years. he was simple, and he liked simple things. he sighed, and said" yeah, yeah yeah. if i get the courage to tell her i love her, one day. maybe your planning will come true." he laughed slightly. but it was true. he didn't even tell her he loved her yet. it was sad. they have been well this thing for a month. he had yet to make it offical, and he loved her. he didn't know how to say it, or when. but he knew he had too.

“Which is why the giant fish would eat the cat duh, I know cats and fish don’t mix. I did pass kindergarten you know, with flying colors in fact because I was born a nerd and I will always be a nerd and you know that. You tease me about that Gunner, saying how is it someone as cool as me can be a nerd” Gavin shrugged. He was very known for his random speaking and sometimes it was just because of that he made people laugh and he aimed for that. He hated when people were unhappy and if anyone was ever unhappy he did everything in his power to change that no matter the cost.
“You need to tell her you love her before it’s too late to Gunner, the girl can’t wait forever” Gavin sighed a little bit almost like he knew just what he was talking about and he did. He wasn’t at all dumb and knew sooner or later something had to be done and the truth just had to come out and lord knows when that would actually ever happen. If anything he really hoped it happened really soon, like sometime this year.

this was just how gunner and gavin were. they were silly, they were who they were. boys. maybe not all true ones, but they were boys. he nodded when he heard his best friend talk and said" fish, and cats....i just think they are evil and boring." he laughed, and then said" i do it outta love, my friend."
he looked to his best friend, gavin, and smiled.he nodded, and sighed and said" you know it's hard to love someone, for me." he looked away for a second and said" you told me to find a girl i could love...i told you i couldn't, because no one would ever be as amazing as maria, but, boy was i wrong. my annabelle is more amazing than anyother girl i have ever met. she blows me away everytime that i see her."

Gavin always tried to be silly just to lighten the mood of any situation since he really didn’t like being unhappy, and he didn’t like it when his friends were unhappy either. He didn’t like it when anyone was happy; heck even if he didn’t like you he didn’t like it if you were unhappy. If someone was unhappy he would try his best to cheer them up, “fish are not boring. I like fish, they remind me a lot of myself you know. They have short attention spans to, so they are a lot like me and that is totally awesome you know. I love having a short attention span, it makes my life more fun” he shrugged his shoulders a little.
“I know it is dude, just saying if you don’t tell her soon you may never get the chance again and Annabelle is a good girl. One of our best friends and you two just look so good together and need to be together in my opinion” Gavin just shrugged a little bit, “and I’m saying this as your friend. Your friend that knows everything”.

He laughed a bit after gavin finished his little rant about something along the lines that fish and him were similar. it was correct though. gavin had the shortest attention span that gunner had ever seen. He laughed and said" gav, if there was a contest for short attention spans, you'd win. hands down." he laughed again, and then looked to the ground.
he listened to his best friend chat away about the anna thing. he let out a sigh, and said" i love her, you know. she's my annabelle. she always has been mine, we just never really got around to saying we were offical till...well now." he really did always have a thing for anna even through maria. but, he never really let it out and show, because anna seemed to be else where in the world.

Gavin actually had a very short attention span which if he wasn’t very careful easily got him in trouble in school when he wasn’t paying attention to the teacher and was just doodling instead. Even though he didn’t pay attention often he still got good grades anyways and that’s all he really seemed to care about was the good grades he got. He was a total nerd when it came to school; he really seemed to care about his school work and doing a good job. “Huh win what, sorry wasn’t paying attention was thinking about a monkey with cymbals” yes that really went to show how short of an attention span the guy really had.
“Glad you two finally did say it you know, although it’s a little odd seeing my two best friends dating you two are really great together. You’re like my brother and she’s like my sister and together us three are the misfits of Lipton, and there is no changing that either. We will always be the misfits of Lipton” he laughed actually proud of being a misfit. If a girl pretending to be a guy wasn’t a misfit, lord knows what was. Although she wasn’t pretending, she was just a guy in a girl’s body.

gunner laughed at his best friend and said" nothing, gav. nothing at all." he sometimes worried about gavin, well not sometimes, all the time. he had a complicated life. he never had it really that smoothly. either he was sad about being a girl, or sad that his mother didn't accept this life he had choosen or the way he was. gunner really did feel bad about it.
he listened to his best friend and then, added" yeah, i know. and you're my brother , and she's the one gavin. " he smiled and then added " get ready to be my best man one day." he laughed. but, truly he really did see it. of course, gavin would be the best man. and he really did want anna to be his, forever.

Gavin never had the easy life and he knew that and heck he was use to it by now, he knew being Gavin wasn’t going to make his mother happy but being Genelle didn’t make him happy. When he was Genelle he was miserable, which was why he use to burn his self and although he would never tell his mother this he still did sometimes. He couldn’t help the fact he was who he was, and he just wished his own mother could accept him, but he had a feeling that would never happen.
“Bros forever” Gavin smiled, he was glad to have Gunner as a friend since Gunner was someone who stood by him even with his secret he was keeping from everyone. He never judged him for it and treated him as a guy and not as a girl, and he knew if other people did know they would see him different. They would see him as a girl and not as a guy and that wasn’t what he wanted, “and you can be mine at my nonexistent one” he sighed.
