Scarlett reached for her bag and held onto the little hand of her daughter Katie and made her way out of the little apartment of hers. She locked the door behind and started walking with her daughter to wards the park which wasn't far away from her apartment. Her daughter was holding onto a little ball in her arm as she walked with Scarlett. They were walking slowly because Katie was only three years old and she had started walking an year ago and wasn't fast at it. Sometimes she took little baby steps, and in utter excitement she would hop around and fall, then rise up, jump again and fall. It was too cute. Scarlett was in no hurry at all so she followed Katie as she took her little steps and Scarlett guided her the path to the park. Scarlett was having fairly a very pleasant week. Earlier this week she got her dream job. She was appointed as the columnist for the fashion magazine for which she had been struggling for the past few months. It was Sunday, so it was day off from work which meant Scarlett had nothing to do but spend her time with her little baby girl and the best day to have a little fun was to take her daughter to a place where she could enjoy. Park was her favorite place. She would run around everywhere, run behind the butterflies and try to catch them. She would jump and roll in the grass. Play 'catch the ball' with Scarlett and try kicking the ball. Scarlett loved photography and she always admired the beauty of nature. So she grabbed her camera along with her and had it in her bag. Within ten minutes they were in the park and her daughter was running around with the ball in her hand. Scarlett asked her daughter to keep the ball down and kick it. At first her daughter wasn't willing to but she was very obedient so she kept the ball down and Scarlett taught her how to kick the ball. They had been kicking the ball to wards each other. Scarlett found it very amusing how her daughter was a fast learner. It reminded her of her best friend who died, and Katie was just like her real mother, both habit and looks wise. Scarlett was lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize that she had kicked the ball too hard and it fell too far in the other direction. '' Oh sorry. I'll go get it. '' she told her daughter and ran in the other direction. She didn't see the other person running from the other direction until they bumped into each other and she crashed against the ground. '' I'm terribly sorry, I didn't see you mister. '' she said politely, in her British accent as she looked at male who she had bumped into. Her knee was bleeding and she placed her hand onto her knee as she looked at the wound. The boy looked very familiar, like she had seen him somewhere before. Suddenly she was able to recognize him from the chat. '' William from Australia? Oh, it's a pleasure meeting you. '' she said. her daughter ran to wards her and sat next to her and looked at her knee and mumbled again and again '' Mommy, you're hurt. it's blood. it's blood. you're hurt!'' Scarlett put her arm around her daughter and tried to calm her. '' Mommy is alright, my love. it's only a little cut. I'll have it fixed.'' she placed a tissue paper on it and turned her attention back to William. '' Oh, William, this is my daughter Katie and Katie, this is mister William. shake hands with him. ' she guided her daughter and her daughter held out her hand. '' It's nice to- -er-see- you-sir--'' her daughter said and ran to get the ball. She returned back and looked at both of them. '' Who wants to play? '' Katie asked and Scarlett stood up and dusted her clothes with her hands. It was surprising for Scarlett to come across face to face she knew from the chat. The world was just not round but too small, too.
