it was ten minutes on the dot till five oclock, the time that anna said she would meet gunnar at the cafe. he sat there in the booth, his favorite one, by the window. his nerves were already getting to him. for some reason, his knees were shaking out of control, he tapped his fingers on the table. all just signs of gun being himself. he had no patients what so ever. five fifty two, eight minutes left for miss anna. his eyes went to the napkin holder, as he searched for something for him to not look like a complete freak. he hated waiting.
the waiter had already came, now twice, asking if he wanted anything, even a drink. both times, gunner had told the poor lady that he needed nothing but anna. but, of course, the lady couldn't supply him with 'anna'. his life had been pretty crazy lately, come to think of it. his home life wasn't always the prettiest, but he had the best of friends to rely on, and anna. anna was his number one support system. he relied on her for everything. she was the one thing that calmed gunner down, during any time. he looked around the place nervously, and then done at the watch. thinking it was wrong, he glanced up at the one on the wall. it was five more minutes left.
gunner was dressed sort of simple. a black botton down shirt, that was slightly bottoned, and tight black jeans, that seemed to make him feel just as hot as he was. he had two rubber bands on each wrist. two of them were for his band, and one said LOVE, and the other said' safe the tatas'. he always looked at that one with a smile, pleasantly on his face. he had his converse red shoes on, that seemed to stand out just a tad more than anything else on his body. his hair wasn't perfect, but it was a perfect mess. he seemed to have just the right amount of his colgne on though.
everything was tense now. it was a minute off, a minute before his wonderful anna walked into the cafe, and into his arms. it was a great meeting time for the two of them. lunch at the local cafe, and then a stroll in the park. gunner was sort of the romantic type, never pushing anna too far. never trying anything without asking. he stuck to what he known, and never asked for much more. he sighed, and then soon, it was of relief. becuase in came his anna, which of course made being almost late disappear from his mind. Annabelle checked her make-up, and hair and just about everything else that she could. She was going out and she wanted to look nice, of course, she cared a lot about Gunnar and she always wanted him to think the best of her. She tapped her black fingernails on her old leather steering wheel, worn where her hands usually came to rest. Her huge gold bangle glared the sun right into her eyes. She tapped the beat to iron man, then just random beats that kept her busy while the traffic pulled and pushed. Traffic was backed up from a horrific car crash up ahead, and it consisted of a motorcycle and two other cars. Anna had to stop herself from crying when she saw a babies car seat.
Flipping on the radio to take her mind off it, she listened to the newest pop single, not exactly her type, but it kept her mind of the crash. After the last note of the song she rolled into the café, hoping he wasn’t too mad at her for being a little late. She checked her hair and make-up then her clothes and stepped out. Locking her car and briskly walking towards the Café’s door. She held the door open for an elderly couple, then she walked in and flattened her dress, taking a deep breath and scanning the room.
She spotted his shoes before anything else of course, bright red sticking out amongst his plain black outfit. She found Gunner looking out the window in his usual booth, the light glared around him, making him look like he belonged in some magazine ad for a medicine that cured all illness or something. Anna waltzed over to where he was and stopped at the table and sat down. “So you come here often handsome?” Anna smiled and drummed her fingers along the table.

his fingers were tapping even more loud on the counter of the booth that he had planted his body in, and his whole legs were shaking. it was always like this when gunner was waiting for someone. he never really knew what to expect. but with anna, he always expected a perfect angel. the girl that blew his whole world and turned it upside down every time he looked at her. he was crazy in love with her, and it was really time to tell her this.
he looked towards the voice that he heard that was noother than anna's. he put his charming smile on, and said" of course, just to find gorgeous girls, sort of like yourself." he laughed, and said" and don't you look mighty gorgeous, my lady." he took her hand, and kissed it, and said" take a seat, my dear." he was always soo silly, and charming and romantic when it came to girls. he knew what to say, and it wasn't ever a lie. he was honest, and sweet. His very touch made her tingle, and his voice, oh his voice. She blushed slightly she was never going be used to his touch and his compliments. No one ever paid any attention to her, except for the bullies who messed with her, or the teachers who liked her because she actually worked. The mere thought of the people who had made her life so awful almost threatened to overcome her at the moment but Anna just mentally shook her head and smiled. He was so great looking, but things had been going awry, everything was more difficult, and Anna felt like it was her fault. Her parents were going through a divorce, and everything was just getting more and more depressing for her. Anna wasn’t going to let her smile falter though, she wanted Gunnar to see that she was strong, and do anything she put her head to. This came out as an major problem in their relationship. Once again though she shook her head and looked at him.
“You know, my hands are soft, but I think my lips are way softer.” Annabelle bit her lip and leaned over the table to kiss Gunnar, a soft gentle kiss, automatically relaxing her body. When it was over she sat back down and smoothed out her dress. She very rarely liked to take the first innovative, maybe today was different, or maybe the stress was making her loopy. Anna looked over at Gunnar and rested her head on her hands, propping them up on their elbows. “So how has my white knight been? My phone broke by the way, sorry I haven’t been able to use it.” Annabelle was being honest, she had broken it when she decided to walk down concrete steps, and of course, had dropped it and it had bounced breaking piece by piece down the ten steps. She had been very angry at herself, but even more angry that she was even closer to not having contact with the outside world.

all it took was her lips on his own lips for the anger of alot of things going on to disappear. that really all it took was one kiss for every little word he had in his head or thought to just disappear. he did love his anna, alot. he smiled, and then said" my day has gone rather smooth." he frowned at the second part and then said" then, i will buy you a new one, my love. we will go after lunch, and i will get you anyone you want." he took her hands from across the table, smiling at her with a loving look.
he half smiled and half laughed, and then said" sweetie, can i tell you something?" he was outterly smitten with anna. she was gunner's world. all in this tiny little girl, named anna, was everything he ever wanted in a girl. he smiled, and then said" don't freak out or anything, and just say what you feel."

Annabelle couldn’t help but laugh, she didn’t want him to buy her a new phone, and she meant that in the nicest way possible. She didn’t like people to spend money on her, it was quite useless, or so she thought. Even though she expected the words blood still rushed to her cheeks, he was really a nice person and she couldn’t help but love him. The next words almost stopped her in her tracks. “Don’t freak out or anything, and just say what you feel."
What did that mean? He looked almost ecstatic and she was hoping that was a good sign. He was pretty much her world, the only reason she wasn’t so depressed, the only reason she got dressed all nice and went places. He was her whole reason for living, and she wanted him to know, but she just couldn’t randomly tell him that. Anna really hoped it wasn’t going to be anything bad, like him breaking up with her or him moving or..or..or. Anna stopped her train of thought; she didn’t want to think of anything like that at the moment. Anna smiled and went on to say “Sure, say whatever you need to!”. She smiled and braced herself, wishing for nothing bad.

he smiled and then breathed in. how could he tell her that basically she was his everything? the one thing that was getting him to calm down, and sleep. he breathed and then said" well, i know, we haven't been talking too long...so this might sound wierd to you." he breathed again, and tapped his fingers, sighing. he didn't know how to put that she was basically his world.
he looked at her and said" annabelle clareence owens, i love you. i hope, you feel the same way." he smiled and then let go of his breath that he was holding. he sat back for a second, and then looked towards her and said" i'm in love with you, i have been."

Annabelle wanted to cry, she wasn't expecting that, not an "I love you." Anna felt the same about Gunnar without a doubt; she knew she felt the same. “Oh I love you too Gunnar!” Anna had never met anyone so sweet, anyone else so charming. There was no one else Anna could think of that helped with her depression. He was her medicine, her White Knight amongst all the Dark ones.
Anna had never had anyone love her, well besides her parents, and she had never loved anyone. It was a new feeling for her, and she intended to live it to the fullest. Anna rested her hand on top of his, just because she felt it fit the moment, and she wanted the tapping to stop. She smiled at Gunnar, her only love. “Its been just the right amount of time.” Anna smiled, she felt as if she could float away into the clouds, but she was staying just for Gunnar. There was a bubble surrounding the booth they sat at, and the cold world was never going to penetrate it.

the smile crept up on his face once the words flooded out of her mouth. He knew rejection, he knew how it felt not to be loved back, and to feel love back, was more amazing that ever. he smiled, and then looked at her. but all he could manage was a smile. he didn't know how to put too much, even know he was the sweetest one around you could meet. he had his ways with words, he had his way with being super cute. he just knew what to do sometimes without even realizing he was doing it. which was why so many girls loved it.
he smiled, and said" i'm glad you think so, my anna." he gently rubbed her hand, soothingly trying to be the nice guy he was. he was smooth, but sometimes, he feared he'd pull the wrong move and the girl would hate him for life. he sighed, staring at her and said" are you hungry, my anna?"

Annabelle was most defiantly not hearing what other people were saying all she heard was her one and only. All she felt was his hand. And then he asked her is she was hungry. Annabelle almost laughed. She stopped herself though, and just kept smiling. "Eh, I could eat I guess." Anna didn't exactly like eating around other people, once again the fear of rejection, but she felt comfortable enough around Gunnar. She wasn't going to eat like a supreme meal or anything, she would just stick with a small meal.
Asking for a waiter meant the bubble being broken, and that was enough to make Anna sigh and sit back in her booth seat. Leaving her arms to rest in her lap. She looked down at her hands as she fiddled with a loose string.

he smiled and said" okay, i'll take care of things, my annabelle." he knew that she was shy, or more so nervous about everything. he knew how it was to be like that, but gunner realized to get what you want, you need to speak up. he was comfortable being himself, way more than he used to be. he knew what to do, and how to talk his way to it.
he looked around, and when his waiter came to his table, his smile appeared. he ordered a turkey club sandwhich, and once he had finished his order, he looked to his darling anna, and said" sweetie, what do you want?" he wanted her to face him, and tell him. she knew she was more comfortable with him, than the waitress. he smiled, and said" just look at me, and say it."

Even though it was hard to think while looking at Gunnar, Anna looked at him and though of what to order. A small meal defiantly; but what. She needed to start being strong, and stop being shy for Gunnar. She looked into his blues eyes. She turned her head and looked at the waiter right in the eye. “Can I just have a salad with ranch dressing?” Annabelle kind of muttered but she said it loud enough for the girl to hear, as she scribbled it down and walked off.
Anna smiled at Gunnar, she felt better, having done it herself, and taken a stand to her shyness. She was still in heaven, cloud nine basically. The sun came in the full wall window, shinning perfectly on the two, Anna wished everyday could be like this, just her and Gunnar taking on the world. Anna’s throat lumped, she thought about how awful her parents love was, and she wondered if she could ever be loved or if love was just a illusion. She kept her eyes clear by blinking hard, trying to keep up her illusion of happiness.
