a sigh of relief had escaped her lips, and she ran her hand through her beautiful long blonde hair, and then she looked around the place she had rented to hold her baby shower. it was on the towns beautiful lake, and it had a good stage so she could sit down and open all the gifts and everyone could watch her. bella stood in the middle of the big hall, hand on her stomach, and smiled. her and her sister had already set up the tables, and the ballons everywhere.
isabella couldn't wait to see her little baby boy..when he arrived. she had two boys that she loved deeply in her life, besides her brother and father. she was always surrounded by boys, so this was pretty easy for her. she smiled, and looked to her sister, and said" thanks, sis. you're the best!" she looked to her phone, and texted jason. " hey buttercup. the place is set up. stop by soon. love youuuu" and then hit send. she smiled, and then moved to text her best friend, katie. " hey katie, are you coming to the baby shower? i miss you, alot. see you soon, i hope!" and then she hit send. she closed her phone, and placed it back in the bag.
isabella sighed, and looked to her belly. she wasn't all that big, but she was almost five months along. she decided to do the baby shower in the fifth terimester, so she had time to look at anything else that she might need, and set up her house for the baby, without worrying about the party. bella sighed, and then looked at the time. it was already one oclock, her party started in about an hour. she sighed, and then said" okay, the food is ready, right mom?" her mom nodded, and said" breath, babygirl."
bella was trying to breath, and not get too stressed out, but everything was so hard. her doctor told her stressing out isn't good for the baby. her and jason have been trying to be good with eachother, but sometimes, it was hard. they really did love eachother, but, bella just seemed to get so annoyed with jason sometimes. she really did love him, though. she smiled, and then said" well, it's almost time." bella went to a chair, and sat down. it was time to relax and wait for everyone to show up.

Mia was nervous and she hadn’t even arrived at the baby shower yet, she’d met Isabella in the park when she was with Elsie and the girl had told her how she was pregnant and worried that she wasn’t prepared. The girls had got to talking and Mia had given Bella all the tips she could as well as a few of Elsie’s old things that were worth more than the charity shop. Today though Mia was without her little girl and to the devoted mom that just felt strange, Elsie was everything in her life and to be going somewhere without her was not a usual occurrence. But today it was happening as Elsie was with a babysitter and Mia was heading to the baby shower, where she would know no-one bar Isabella. The gift sat in the back seat of her car, wrapped in bright wrapping paper with bits of sellotape placed in random positions, Elsie was in charge of the tape. It was a beautiful Moses Basket that Mia had found in a cute little baby shop near where her mom lived and it had Winnie the Pooh on it.
The red-head hadn’t really known what to get the girl but she knew that Moses Baskets were pretty important once the baby was born, but she’d kept the receipt just in case Bella already had one. Mia could remember Elsie’s Moses Basket distinctly, it was a bright pink, as a girl from school had bought it for her, and it had had different animals all around it, it had been perfect if Mia needed to do things around the house because she could just put Elsie in the Basket and then put her down in each room as she moved, that way she could keep an eye on her. Mia planned to help Bella out as much as she could although she knew that Bella had a big support network around her. Sure, Bella was four years older than Mia when she got pregnant with Elsie but they both felt out of their depth and Mia knew that she could relate to Bella in a way that her family and other friends couldn’t.
Mia wanted to help with practical things like juggling a baby with schoolwork and a social life. She wanted to offer Bella the chance of a mom’s lunch and to be able to unload her problems onto someone who’d already been there, that was something that Mia had never had and she didn’t want Bella to feel the same way. Mia had felt like no-one knew what she was going through, sure, the girls in the rape support group were helpful but none of them were carrying a stranger’s baby, in that she was alone. She didn’t want to be stereotyped as a teen mom, she didn’t want to be told she had to sacrifice her baby or her education; she wanted to prove that she had the best of the both worlds, she didn’t want Bella to feel like she had to prove anything.
The girl arrived at the hall and pushed open the door to be alarmed to find she was the first one there, she saw Bella and two women whom she assumed to be her mum and her sister, but she couldn’t be sure. She carried the large box under her arm and looked awkwardly into the vast room; she had no idea what to do. Mia had never been to a baby shower before, well apart from her own. Mia’s wasn’t very traditional though because it was organised by her friends and what a group of sixteen years old knew about babies could fit on one side of A4. She’d been given stack loads of pacifiers and cuddly toys but nothing useful like nappy bins or functional clothing. It had been her Mom’s friends that had provided those things but they hadn’t attended the baby shower, it was a bit high school. She looked across at Bella “sorry, I’m a bit early” she said looking down at her watch.
