HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH, HEAVY HEART. SO TAKE A CHANCE AND MAKE IT BIG. he said. He was supervisor, which meant just a little more pay in the pocket than being a normal barista, but it barely made a difference. Indra scooped up a cup of water with ice and headed outside. He was glad to get away from Starbucks, the smell of coffee was overwhelming him right now, as was the noise and general day-to-day hustle of everyone inside. He stood outside the store and lit himself a cigarette. Luckily he was situated quite close to the park, and hoping he would be able to shake off some of the nausea, Indra started to walk. He held the plastic Starbucks cup in one hand and his cigarette in another, alternating between taking puffs and taking sips. The air seemed to be doing him some good, and he was beginning to feel better as he walked through the park. Indra wanted to leave work and crawl into his bed until tomorrow evening, but he knew better than to do that. He'd probably lose his sole source of income and he'd be leaving his belongings, including his apartment keys, back at the store. It wouldn't be a wise move. He finished the water and dumped the plastic cup into a bin, taking a drag on the cigarette. It was a nice day, almost a shame to be locked up inside, he thought. There was a cool breeze, which offset what would have otherwise been quite a warm day - perhaps an unbearably warm day, which would have added to his hangover. He was grateful for the breeze, and continued to walk down the park pathway, careful of the time as he strolled along, taking drags from the cigarette as he went. [/ul]

- - - - - - - - - - - - this day was gorgeous and for once anthony didn't had time to hang out with her. he was doing something else, and he hadn't told maria what it was. but she was pretty sure that he wasn't cheating her, anthony wasn't like that. at least, she thought so. argh, she was so conflicted. it was only because of indra, her ex from a few years back. he had been cheating on her several times until she caught him in the act. it had made it harder for maria to trust boys. but anthony was something quite else. he was cute, sweet, kind, caring, handsome, everything she wanted from a boy. maria was walking outside, she was looking for a certain bench. it was under a tree and it was somewhat windy there. perfect for such a warm day. she was listening to her ipod and carrying a book containing her laptop and some books. and she was going to study. her music totally consumed her and she even hummed a little bit on the song, before sitting down on the bench. she then pulled an apple up from her bag and took a bite, looking around. then maria saw no one but indra... a small sigh escaped her lips. her ex boyfriend, who had cheated on her. quickly she rolled her eyes. he was smoking. maria hated smokers. and she wondered whether or not to go over to him and say something to him. no. he was the one that needed to apologize and the fact was that maria really didn't liked indra more. he had been an idiot and asshole towards her. she didn't owed him anything at all. maria looked down at her book, acting like she hadn't seen him and hoped he hadn't seen her.

HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH, HEAVY HEART. SO TAKE A CHANCE AND MAKE IT BIG. , that was his problem. His promicious behavior was inexcusable, but he never deviated or changed his ways. He just stopped getting into proper relationships. He stubbed his cigarette out beneath his Converse, remembering that Maria didn't like smoking. Indra wasn't a bad person, he was sure he wasn't a bad person... he'd made a lot of mistakes in life, and hurting Maria had been one of them. He just couldn't handle relationships, not then and definitely not now. He wondered how she was, whether she'd found some one else. Now was the time to find out, he thought. It was definitely awkward, Indra thought, it wasn't easy to approach your ex when you'd done such horrid things to her. He'd left an impression on Maria, and she had left one on him. He'd stopped even trying to have relationships. "Hey... Maria," Indra said as he slowly approached her. He couldn't remember the last time they'd had a conversation, nor could he remember when he'd last seen her. She was reading quite intently, although he'd managed to catch her look - he knew very well that she'd managed to spot him. How was he supposed to go about this? What was the given protocol for approaching your ex girlfriend who you managed to single-handedly destroy through a multitude of bad deeds? "How's it going?" Smooth move, Indra thought, mentally scolding himself for being so casual about this. [/ul]
