TIP OUR GLASSES TO NO DIRECTION.[/b] Indra asked, looking somewhat dumbstruck at the brunette, like she'd just grown a second head or something equally horrific. How could this be happening right now? He was so sure... "I'm sorry, sir, your card has been declined. I'm supposed to keep it but..." She held the card out to him and Indra took a deep breath to try and collect himself and took the card from her hands. He was out of money. He was completely alone and out of money. He took the now useless card and slipped it back into his pocket and glanced down the line of people waiting behind him in the supermarket. Damn, there was a lot of people there - a lot of people who'd just witnessed him have his card declined. This was pretty high on the awkward list, it probably beat throwing up in the flowers outside his apartment building in front of the elderly couple across the hall because he'd been drunk in the middle of the day last week. This beat them all. Indra backed away from the cash desk, glancing at all the groceries he'd wanted to buy but hadn't been able to afford. He worked a job - and he was sure he had money in his account to cover it all. Apparently not. He briefly shut his eyes as he walked from the store, outside and down the street toward the mall, fighting back the urge to shout or punch something. That had never happened before, not once since he'd moved out from his family home. Indra was usually so well kept with his money, having enough to just get by. Apparently his luck had run out now. Feeling downhearted he fished in his pocket for what little change he had. Probably shouldn't have blown his money getting hammered all of last week, he thought. It was a coping mechanism... and it was fun. What else could he do? He cursed not allowing himself to budget his spending sprees and began to wonder what exactly he was going to do. He was sure he had enough at home to eat, so maybe he could go into work tomorrow and beg for an advance. He doubted his boss would grant him so much as a single coin, but it would be worth the try. Gathering the few loose change in his pocket, he decided to blow the last of it on a coffee. What the hell, he thought. He certainly couldn't afford much else with it all. It wasn't like he could go begging to a family member either - they all lived far away, and didn't want to see anything of him, and he didn't want to see anything of them. Indra would live on his own terms, he didn't need anyone else's help, even when times were rough. He'd get through this, his rent wasn't due for a while, so he was safe on that front. He just had to take everything easy, he thought. He stood in the queue at the coffee shop, gathering his thoughts about what had happened and was beginning to feel a lot better about it all. Things would sort themselves out, he just had to remain relatively optimistic. Or just blissfully ignorant to the real world. Either would work quite well. Indra turned to see who'd just walked through the door behind him, and he could honestly admit he'd never been happier to see a familiar face...[/ul][/size]

ryder needed one of those days that he would just relax for a while, but till he saw the coffee shop, his mind changed. the kiddies were passed out in the back in thier seats, which were normal since he just picked them up from day care. he pulled into the parking lot, and parked the car. he was craving a mocha latte, and he knew the kids would go for some food. the daycare supplied food for them, but he knew they always got hungry around this time.
he shut the car off, and then listened. both of the kiddies were up already, and then he heard " we home already, daddy?" he looked to both of them, and said" i thought a treat would be acceptable right now. i need some coffee, kids." they both nodded, and then he stepped out of the car. He went to bently first, and took him out, and shut the door. He then went around the car, and got kaylee out. He picked kaylee up, and held her, and then held bently's hand.
all three of them walked now to the door. he opened the door, and walked in. he sniffed the air right away. ahhh, he loved that smell. he looked around, and then there was his best friend, and nicole's friend, indra. he gullped, and got ready for this talk.

TIP OUR GLASSES TO NO DIRECTION.[/b] Indra smiled. "What are you doing here in Lipton, Ry?" Indra asked. He had to admit, he was surprised. Why would Ryder even be there? He was glad to see him though, his surprising presence was enough to take his mind away from the earlier incident in the supermarket. Indra didn't want to think about how fantastically broke he was right now. The total sum of his shopping didn't even amount to much, and he knew he wouldn't be able to fill his car up with gas for a while, so that meant walking to work. Which would probably do him some good, because he hadn't walked there for a while. It also meant no more partying for a while, which was also an upside. Indra was long overdue some kind of detox. seeing indra just brought all the memories back for him of how much he really liked indra, and hanging out with the crew. oh, how he missed the crew. it was always him, nicole and indra, and nessa hanging out doing things together and what not. nessa and indra were basically nicole's two best friend, well before nic changed that was. he looked at him, and smiled. he held the kids, and then thought of the last time he really did see indra. it was sort of nice to see him. he was a fan of indra, of course. he became one of his best friends through the years, and he always enjoyed his company.
he heard him talk and then smiled back and said" hey, indra." he smirked, and listened to him and then said" oh, nothing. I live up here now. my dad had a house up here that was in the family apparently for years, and i needed a new start. so i packed everything up, and moved." he smiled, and then moved up in the line. he looked at him, and said" so what you doing around these areas?"

TIP OUR GLASSES TO NO DIRECTION.[/b] he assured him, turning back to take his coffee and pay the server. He looked around again when Ry asked him what he was doing there. "I live here," he explained in his thick Irish accent. "Have done for a while now, it's not bad," he assured him. Lipton would be a nice place for Ry's kids to be, simply because Indra was pretty sure the pregnancy ratings were off the chart in Lipton. There were plenty of places for them to learn and grow, and it was a fairly safe neighborhood as well. He took his coffee and bent down to the two kids, who were grasping Ry's hands tightly. "Hey guys, you're getting so tall now!" Indra grinned. "You're almost as tall as me!" he smiled. He missed the kids, they were full of life and the kind of blissful ignorance Indra wanted to live in constantly. To be that young and to have no worries... if only they could live like that forever. he smiled and said" yeah, my dad spent alot of time here. it was my grandpa's parents house, and my grandpa died last year, so my dad got the house." he looked at him, and smiled. dang, he missed the whole times. i mean, yeah he loved his children, but what he would do to go back a couple years when it was just him, and nicole and they could stay up for hours. he never fully got what happened to her. i guess, she couldn't put up with being tied down just yet.
kaylee looked at him, and then out of nowwhere said" i'm a big girl, i aint no wittle baby!" bently looked at his sister and then the man and said" excuse my little sister, she's insane. i'm bently, i'm more calmer than her." ry looked at his kids, and then said" bently, he knows your name. this is daddy's old friend, indra. he's known you since well you were in mommies tummy." bently looked at him, and said" danggg, that's a long time. i sowwy, i had no clue." kaylee looked at him, and said" your soo silly, brodahh." ry laughed, and said" well, i think bently was like almost 2 the last time you saw him. i know that kaylee was only almost one."
