- - - - - - - - - - sarah hated lying to people, she even hated lying to people she had just met. and the whole thing about "kissing too much makes me lose my breath" was a downward lie. it was because she was ill and this trick she just had pulled, could easily end up being the thing that would kill her in the long run. but sarah couldn't and wouldn't allow herself to ruin her evening because of this. and if she told dylan, he would probably run away, screaming like a little boy. sarah just smiled at him when he said the thing about her coughing being excessive. it wasn't exactly something she could control herself, so she just shrugged with a small smile. maybe he wasn't the normal player type? the fact that he showed consideration when she first started coughing, gave him another point in her book. and he just smiled and sat down and started talking to her. sarah got another glass of water and took a small sip of it before answering him. "i'm a senior in high school. i graduate in a few months.. hopefully." the last thing she said with a small wink. sarah looked at him, trying to figure out how old he was and where he was in his life. you, on the other hand, are not in high school. you are in college... and you are... 19?" she guessed, smiling at him.

”Close!” Dylan laughed, ”I am in college, well when I turn up, but I’m 20. Impressive guessing though”. Dylan smiled at her, pondering the word ’hopefully’, ”You’re not confident you’ll get the grades then to graduate?” he enquired, drinking more of his beer. ”Cause hun, if I managed to graduate, anyone can.”
Dylan looked towards Sarah’s friends for a moment, wondering what they thought of him. He knew girls could be pretty protective over their friends and hate them being taken advantage of by random drunk guys. Although, to be fair, he wasn’t that drunk, and certainly hadn’t taken advantage of her.. not yet. She looked back towards her and smiled, placing his hand on her thigh and learning towards her as he whispered ”I’m sure you’ll be fine gorgeous”

- - - - - - - - - - sarah laughed when he started talking. she had always had a certain gift of guessing almost right. almost. sometimes she was lucky and guessed right. 19 was too low, she actually knew that. he looked older - but still not old enough to buy alcohol legally. sarah wondered for a few seconds, how he had gotten permission to do that. "not to sound cocky, but i think i'm the one with the highest average in my year." she said and winked at him. it wasn't a lie. sarah was super smart and very studious, but tonight she couldn't care less about school. she just wanted to have a good time and she obviously was. as sarah felt his hand on her thigh, she took his hand and entwined their fingers and leaned in (after he said the last thing) and kissed his neck with a daring smile. sarah moved closer to his mouth and when was there, she opened his mouth and tried to let her tongue enter his mouth.

Dylan grinned ”Not cocky at all” he winked, admiring her intelligence. Surely smart girls spent their evenings at home studying, not messing around with stupid boys?
He parted his lips as she leaned in towards him, letting his tongue slide into her mouth as hers did his. He held her close as they kissed, the world seeming to stop around him. He forget where he was, forgot what was going on around him and became fixed on one thing only-and that was Sarah. He caressed her softly and let his tongue gently explore her mouth as their lips locked. He gently pulled away though to whisper into her ear ”My place is a bit more private if you want to go?”. Well, if you don’t ask, you don’t get Dylan figured.

- - - - - - - - - - she laughed again. it wasn't like she wanted to be cocky, she was just being realistic. she was indeed one of the smartest girl in her year, but compared to ricki montgomery, she had friends and a life outside of school. ricki montgomery would spend all her time studying and even though, sarah liked to study, she liked to have fun and be with friends too. sarah had never seen ricki montgomery walking down the hallways with anyone, other than a book clutched in her hands. she had never seen her at any parties, dancing with anyone. sarah was pretty pleased for her life... when you looked past the fact, that within two years she wouldn't be here anymore. sarah enjoyed the way he kissed her. he was good at it and obviously very experienced. she allowed herself to go deeper into the kiss and when he broke apart, sarah just smiled at him and what he said next. she thought about it for a minute - sarah wasn't interested in sex, as he clearly was, but she nodded holding a finger up to warn him. "but! i'm not up for having sex with you. we'll see how things develop." she said it rather matter of factly. quickly she ran over to alice and lisa and told them, she was going home with dylan. they hugged her and told her to be safe and things, before sarah returned to dylan. "i'm ready." she said with a smile, before pulling out her cellphone. sarah sent a short text to her mother, knowing she was asleep, but then she knew where sarah was when her parents woke up and wasn't able to find her. she started walking towards the exit, knowing that she had given dylan something to think about.

Dylan looked at her with almost puppy dog eyes but deep down he knew this would probably be her response and he did respect that, in his own way. He nodded. As much as he wanted to get laid he kind of admired the fact she wouldn’t just sleep with just any guy she met in a club. He watched her walk over to her friends and tell them. Their faces showed some concern, which made Dylan feel kind of bad. They obviously saw him as a threat to their friend; someone who would hurt her and disappoint her. Which, in all fairness, was what Dylan did to girls. Told them they were the most gorgeous things in the world, got into their knickers and then just walked away. No love, no commitment, no hassle. Perhaps it was something about being a bloke, perhaps it was just something about Dylan- the ability to completely separate sex and love and to only be concerned with the former.
He smiled as she walked towards him. ”Cool, let’s go then” he nodded, following her lead towards the door. He walked up to one of the waiting taxis and told his address to the driver, opening the door for her like a true gentleman. ”After you.” he smiled, scooting into the seat next to her once she had got in. - - - - - - - - - - sarah noticed his puppy eyes, but didn't commented on them. she had some morals after all. would never sleep with a random guy she just met. but sarah could tell, that dylan was quite the opposite of her. only hung around bars to hook up with girls, then tell them sweet things and then just walk away, don't looking back. sarah knew that her saying yes, included him trying to get in her pants, or in this case, dress, all night long. sarah couldn't tell if she was willing to give in at the current time. maybe as the night progressed, it was hard to tell. she was sure that she would steal a kiss or two from him, during the night. she was actually quite surprised to see his reaction to her kind of rejection. sarah was sure that he was actually a very nice guy - but the fact that he only had started talking to her because he wanted to have sex, wasn't a good thing. it gave him a minus in her book. still, she wanted to go home with him. get to know him, maybe find out why he was this type of guy. as the headed outside, he opened the door for her. sarah smiled. "why, thank you dylan. such a gentleman." she said and knew exactly why he just did this. players was always the best of gentlemen, but it didn't had much effect on sarah. as they both sat inside the taxi, sarah leaned in and placed a very passionate kiss on his lips and then pulled away, biting her lower lip. a small smile formed on her lips, before leaning in and kissing him again, this time she rested her hand on his cheek and deepened the kiss more.

As the taxi pulled away from the club, Dylan once again returned her advances, kissing her longingly. "You know Sarah" he interjected, running his hand softly down her hair and resting it just at the bottom of her cheek. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to lead me on." He said this with a cheeky smile but inside he was wondering. She seemed so up for it, embracing him and indulging him in lustful kisses. She wanted to go home with him, to be with him alone, privately. Yet she didn't want to sleep with him? Even for a woman that seemed pretty confused. Dylan wasn't particularly sure where he stood and this was an uncomfortable feeling for him. Generally making out with a girl in the back of a taxi meant you were in for a night of fun but this time, he was just not sure. He chewed on his lip for a second, looking into her eyes and trying to figure out this mysterious being.

- - - - - - - - - - just because a girl wasn't interested in sex, she was leading the guy on? unbelievable. sarah tried her hardest to not feel like she was insulted or offended. but seriously, that was just lame. there was so much more in the world then sex - reading books, picnics, watching romantic movies, talk to friends. plus, drunk sex was (after what she had heard) not very comfortable, nor very nice. sarah would much rather wake up with a smile on her lips, because she slept in someone arms, rather than waking up sore, because of some sex that gave her nothing. sarah didn't commented on what he said right now, but she would. she looked at his cheeky smile and took a deep breath. "i know boys like you, dylan. walking into a bar, looking for some "fresh meat" to take home and have sex with. i thought you were different. i knew you are a player, but for a second you fooled me. i thought you were deeper. but just because a girl doesn't want to have sex with you, she is leading you on?" sarah rolled her eyes before continuing. "you might call me shallow for liking other things than sex. in fact, i'm a virgin. and yes i plan to have sex someday. with the boy i love and is in a relationship with. not some boy i meet in a random bar. i aim higher, obviously you don't, but what can you honestly expect from an expert?" sarah said and looked at him. "i'm going with you home, but i'm warning you. i'm not changing my mind. maybe if you were jake gyllenhaal, but clearly... you are not." sarah said rather firmly and then looked down at her cellphone, avoiding eye contact with him.

Dylan sat there in stunned silence for a moment, not quite sure what to say. ”Well I’m sorry I’m not Jake Gyllenhall. Maybe that would have got you off your moral high horse.” he huffed. What the hell was that outburst for?! He was only teasing her and yet she spits that all out at him. If he had any inkling of where he stood before, he certainly didn’t now.
”Wow Sarah” he continued, actually now quite angry about this ”Obviously I aimed too high. I was just slightly curious where I stood with you. Obviously well below you and your perfect, virginal lifestyle.”
Dylan turned towards the window, feeling deflated and confused. He wanted to get out of the cab and walk but couldn’t just leave Sarah here. He sighed. Perhaps she had a point. Perhaps his life was too focused upon picking girls up in bars but you know what, that was him. She knew full well what he was after from the onset and she played along with it, and now she does a character assassination on him?!
