WHO SAID I WASN'T RIGHT, i've lived for years without a life. [/sup] this post is 429 words long. it was written for Demetri!. Becca thinks tonight is the night! She is wearing this
[/sup] DON'T HAVE A SOUL ON MY SIDE still ridiculed despite how hard that i have tried. Tonight was the night. Becca's dad had a meeting out of town and her mother had allowed Demetri to come spend the night since she, too, had a meeting that would run late. Bre was out spending the night with some friends, so the house was vacant. Which made tonight the perfect night to complete her plan. The funeral planning had been completed in a frenzy the night before and everything was set.
Becca and cleaned her room earlier, partially so it would be a good place to lay to rest and part as a farewell present to her parents. The least she could do for them was provide them easy access to her body when she was dead. She had made a lovely little pallet on the floor for Demetri to supposedly sleep on. Fresh black bedding, washed in lavender and rosewater scented detergent, adorned her bed, with candles surrounding the whole room. The pills she needed were safely in the drawer of her nightstand. All that was left was to get ready, which posed the biggest challenge. Becca couldn't decide if she wanted to wear pajamas or a nice dress or what. She played with her freshly washed and dryed hair and settled on what to wear.
Digging through her drawers she found a plain pair of black sleep shorts and her Rocky Horror tee. She changed into them, slipping on a pair of knee high black and red striped socks and fluffy black slippers. She brushed her teeth, wiped off all of her makeup except some mascara, and headed for the kitchen. She figured they would eat dinner first and then worry about the pills. She wanted the whole atmosphere to be calm and collected, though she knew Demetri would still be a wreck. She popped a big bag of popcorn and turned on the channel that Project Runway would be coming on, determined to have an amazing time with him before the night was over with. And her life at that.
She had written down a random list earlier which she didn't notice had been left on the cabinet, detailing all the stuff she didn't do before she died. One of which, the top of the list, was her first kiss. She didn't notice it laying out as she meandered around the kitchen, making sodas and getting things prepared. After she finished up making snacks she perched herself on the oversized chair and watched the nonsense that was currently on. She smiled to herself, knowing it would all be over in a matter of hours.

Demetri walked out into the dark night, blending in with his dark clothes, and dark hair. He had died it jet black for the occasion. He sighed, and climbed into his car, a black hearse he had bought from the funereal home he use to work at. After he was behind the wheel everything sunk in, and he almost wanted to collapse. Demetris hands shook at the wheel and his stomach was in knots; this was going to be hard. He was in his car alone, and it was dark. He flipped on the CD he had in there, Good Charlotte. Demetri let all his feelings go, he yelled, then he cried. He didn’t cry very loudly, he didn’t make a sound. The tears just rolled down his cheeks; silently he cried the whole way there. His brain driving on autopilot from taking the route so many times before he didn’t even have to keep his mind totally on the road. Demetri shook his head and wiped the tears away, feeling weak for letting them show, he had contained them forever, and now they were finally let go unmercifully. He turned the music up loud to drown out his thoughts. Demetri rolled into the driveway, shutting off the lights and stepping out of the hearse. He slammed the door shut, angry. He paused just for a second to lock his car and to take a few deep breathes. He knew she was going to know he had been crying, his eyes were red and teary. He walked up the steps to the front of the house, his boots thudding against the ground. He knocked on the door urgently, wanting to spend as much time as possible with Becca. “ POLICE!” Demetri shouted, wanting to add humor to the very non-humorous occasion. Messing with a stray string on his Slipknot T-shirt he waited for her to answer. She was going to spend her last hours in happiness and Demetri was going to make sure of it. He wanted to complete all her last wishes, or at least the ones that were easy enough without driving to like Las Vegas. He ran his fingers through his jet black hair. He leaned against the wall in the doorway. He really didn’t want to be here when his best friend “left” but he was going to do what she wanted for her last wishes; however absurd they were. This girl was crazy, and Demetri could never deny it, he was just as crazy and that’s why he loved her. Demetri had put 911 as his speed dial, all he would have to do was grab his phone and press 1 and they would be on their way. Demetri hoped he would be able to save her, even though she wanted it to be all over, he loved her too much for her to do that; to end it all. He felt selfish, but she was the only one he had ever loved, and the only other person to love him back. He tapped his black booted foot against the ground as he thought.

WHO SAID I WASN'T RIGHT, i've lived for years without a life. [/sup] this post is 506 words long. it was written for Demetri!. Becca thinks tonight is the night! She is wearing this
[/sup] DON'T HAVE A SOUL ON MY SIDE still ridiculed how hard that i have tried. Becca had absently been staring into space for the last five minutes. Her brain trying to process all her emotions, thoughts, dreams, memories. It was actually giving her a little headache. Though she had drifted so far off into her thinking that when she heard Demetri's knock and shout of police she let out a scream and fell off of the chair in panic. She laid there for a few seconds, trying to make sure she wasn't going to have a massive anxiety attack, Finally she got to her feet and almost bolted to the front door.
Looking out the peephole she spotted Demetri standing off to the side of the doorway and her nervous hands fumbled with the locks a few times before she got the door open. She didn't hestitate to fling herself outside and wrap her arms around Demetri's ribs. Becca had been so worried he wouldn't show up, or that he'd actually call cops to come cart her away. But no, here he was, standing in her door way ready to be there for her. She stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek before grabbing his wrist to drag him inside.
"Dems, I was so worried you wouldn't come. Judas Priest you scared me!" Becca's voice betrayed the anxiety she'd been feeling all evening.
Her whole demenor seemed to relax when she had him past the doorway. Her shoulders were no longer tense, her face became that soft smile she used to have instead of a strained frown, her eyes were clear and focused. She waved out her hand in an arch pattern to show off the massive ammounts of food she'd made for the occasion. All of her own favorites such as vegetarian chicken nuggets and red velvet cupcakes, as well as some of Demetri's favorite foods. Tonight was a special occasion and was to be celebrated, not looked at as a sad thing. And she wanted Demetri to be just as comfortable as she was right now.
"C'mon in, Dems! Look I made all our favorites!" Becca's happy smile was in no way faked tonight.
She turned quickly to Demetri, resting the curve of her back against the front of the cabinet that seperated the kitchen and living room. A big grin graced her features as she smoothed out the bottom of her shorts. Her eyes widened momentarily as she suddenly became a little self-consious. Demetri had never seen her in shorts before, in fact she wasn't sure Demetri had ever seen her legs from just below the knee up. She adjusted her Rocky Horror shirt nervously before grinning again at him. Demetri was her best friend for a reason, after all. He was always so accepting of her.
Becca grabbed the remote from the coffee table and un-muted Project Runway an almost religiously routine thing they did every year. She sat down on the couch, patting the cushion next to her. She grabbed a big bag chocolate hershey kisses from the coffee table and ate one. She was going to make this night as easy of a transition as possible. "Demmy, get you some food and come sit with me." She grinned as she turned her eyes to the TV.

Demetri quickly hugged and kissed Becca on the cheeks before she pulled him inside. She pulled him into the kitchen, were the lights were brighter, than outside and he could see her outfit. Demetri had no idea how good she looked in shorts. She was down right beautiful, but she had even better legs. Demetri did his best to keep his gaze on her eyes, but he had never seen her legs before. Demetri had never really thought about it, well when he had first met her perhaps, but not in a while. He hardly heard her when she was talking about the table covered in food.
He looked at the table, covered in food, some of his favorites, lots of her favorites. Demetri was way to nervous to eat, it would all just come back up. He crossed his arms on his chest so Becca wouldn’t see them shaking. “Sure” Demetri didn’t want the good food to go to waste, she had worked hard to make it, and once again he wanted to maker he happy. As Becca walked into the room with the TV Demetri grabbed a velvet cupcake and took off the rapper. He bit into the cupcake, it was sweet, and it made his teeth hurt. It was delicious. He couldn’t help but take another one.
As Demetri was wiping of his hands he noticed a piece of paper. The words jumped out at him. The first thing he noticed was “My first kiss” Demetri looked at the top of the page, it was in Beccas handwriting. It was a list of things she had wanted to do. Well then, Demetri scanned the list deciding she at least deserved the first kiss. Demetri nodded his head and walked into the room with Becca. He was committed to giving her everything, and if a kiss was one of them he was more than happy to do so. He walked into the room and sat down next to Becca.

WHO SAID I WASN'T RIGHT, i've lived for years without a life. [/sup] this post is 390 words long. it was written for Demetri!. Becca thinks tonight is the night! She is wearing this
[/sup] DON'T HAVE A SOUL ON MY SIDE still ridiculed how hard that i have tried. While Becca waited for Demetri to come back into the living room she carefully crossed her legs up under her, making herself comfortable on the old family couch. She eagerly waited for the start of Project Runway, hoping that the punk girl would make something amazing. She heard movement in the kitchen and her gaze flicked up to see Demetri eating a cupcake. A small grin appeared on her pale lips, snickering softly under her breath. Sweets were one of Demetri's weaknesses she'd learned early on. If she ever did anything to make him mad she could bake him something and he instantly loved her again.
She scooted over a little to let Demetri sit down before settling herself against his side, her head laying on his shoulder, her arms wrapped around his arm. This was another routine, totally platonic all these years, her laying on him. Letting him totally protect her from the world. Though things sort of took a turn for the akward as the challenge was announced. Wedding dresses. Becca felt a lump in her throat, preventing her from breathing properly. One other thing she'd never get to experience would be the thrill of wearing a wedding dress. She sighed without meaning to, her eyes wistfully watching the harried designers sketch out something she'd never get to wear. Sometimes this depression felt more like a curse, this funeral planning feeling more like a bad idea. But then things would happen that snapped her back to reality again.
She looked up at Demetri, still smiling and snuggled herself closer to him. She didn't even understand her own actions nor their impact but it felt..right. It felt beyond right to sit here, laying against Demetri in perfect harmony. The way the curves of his body were almost a perfect match for her own, yet she couldn't put him through the pain she'd already done all these years. Her eyes moved back to watching the screen, the punk girl making a gorgeous dress that looked exactly like what Becca had dreamed about as a little girl. She entertained the thought of if she ever got married what she would wear, the cake, the location. And suddenly she was realizing she might still have a chance. Suddenly, without understand why she was doing so, she began to cry silent tears.

Demetri liked the way she rested her head on him, the way her body fit into his. How tiny she was compared to him, he wasn’t totally big but he was bigger than her. Demetri was watching the show, not all paying attention to it . He saw they were doing wedding dresses, but that wasn’t his kind of thing. He thought it was pretty “convenient” under the circumstances that they would show this one, off all the episodes. Demetri sighed, and crossed his legs at the ankles. He put his arm on the back of the couch, around Becca, Most people thought they were a couple, but they were just really close friends.
Demetri actually got lost in the show, it was amazing how people could create something so huge and eccentric so fast. He thought about different things, like if things had gone differently maybe Becca could have married, maybe there relationship could have grown into so much more. Demetri loved Becca more than a friend, but he was to scared to admit it, telling her that could possibly ruin their friendship. He loved things as they were to risk losing it all.
Demetris mind wondered to if he really should kiss Becca, it was on the top of her list, but if everything went as He planned than she would probably hate him anyways. Then there was the other problem, if everything went as she planned then it wouldn’t even matter in then end. Demetri felt compelled to look down. He was shocked. Becca was crying, and he wouldn’t ever been able to tell if he hadn’t look down. He rubbed his hand on her shoulder, he really didn’t know what to do.
“Becca look at me” Demetri was acting fast before he chickened out. When she turned her face turned up towards him, he swooped down and kissed her, he hadn’t kissed many girls, but he told he was a natural. Her lips were soft, just as he thought. His hand held her shoulder

ALL THE ROADS WE HAVE TO WALK ARE WINDING , and all the lights that us there are blinding. [/sup] this post is 506 words long. it was written for Demetri!. Becca thinks tonight is the night! She is wearing this
[/sup] THERE ARE MANY THINGS I'D LIKE TO SAY TO YOU, but i don't know how. As Becca watched the designers harriedly run around, working on the wedding dresses the silent tears continued to run down her pale face. She was having a hard time not making any noise as she cried, desperate to not let Demetri see her. She kept her eyes steadily focused on the screen as if she would make her emotions go numb by exposing herself to the pain. She was having so many thoughts it was making the room spin, though the possible anxiety attack brewing in her wasn't helping.
She saw Demetri move his arm so it was on the back of the couch and scooted closer until she was right against his ribs. She laid her head on his chest, listening to the steady beating of his heart. A sad, soft smile graced her lips as thoughts of what could have been flashed like a slideshow in her mind. She closed her eyes, reveling in the thoughts of her in a beautiful black wedding dress, a graveyard in the background, and--her breath hitched as she realized the first person she'd imagined as the groom was Demetri. She couldn't be falling for him now, not when she was going to die.
Suddenly Becca felt Demetri rubbing her shoulder. He must've seen her crying, curses! He was trying to soothe her, to save her like he'd done so many times over these years. She felt a sob welling up in her chest but bit it back, determined not to break down infront of him. Demetri had always been there for her and she had never been anything but a hurdle keeping him from moving ahead. All these times she'd thought about killing herself, Demetri's smiling face in her mind or in person always changed things. And this time she knew it could risk all the plans she'd made. When she heard Demetri telling her to look up she was stunned to feel his lips on her own as she turned.
Becca leaned into the kissing, letting all her emotions go. Tears till ran down her face, making the kiss salty as she felt his soft lips under her own. She broke off the kiss, her wide blue eyes staring at him. Her face flushed and then a blush raced to her cheeks as she collapsed against Demetri's chest sobbing. Becca had to get this done tonight, she wouldn't let her plans be broken by his kiss. As amazing, as right as it felt, it was too late for her. She looked up at Demetri, a weak hand grabbing his shirt to steady herself from passing out due to the emotions overwhelming her.
Becca stood up, trying hard not to meet his eyes. She stuck out her hand to help him up, taking a shaky breath. She bit her lip as the saddest look she'd probably ever had graced her small face. She stared absently down the hall, fiddling with the hem of her shirt. Taking a deep breath before speaking, she felt like she was about to unravel. Better get it over with while she could.
"Demetri, come lay down with me, please..." It came out a little more broken that she had expected, a hiccup punctuating the end of the sentence.
She walked down the hallway to the last door on the right, pushing it open. Lighting the last remaining black candles she pressed the play button on her stereo, a mixed CD started up with a crooning singer talking about death and dispair. She quietly walked to the bed, sitting gingerly on the edge as she pulled the tiny silver spider box from her nightstand drawer. She emptied the pills into her hand, depositing them in her mouth and taking a long sip of water.

Demetri regretted what he had done, it had been bittersweet, but he had only made her more sad in then; the reverse of what he had wanted to do. Demetri stood when she did, walking with her to to the dark bedroom. He stopped though, just to relish the kiss. It had made him realize how much more he had loved her. Demetri understood now, he loved her more than a friend; but it was too late. Nothing would change her mind now it was already in motion. Demetri took a long breathe and walked into her dark room. There were candles lit, but no lights. His tiny friend sat on the bed, swallowing down the pills. Demetri’s heart lurched in his chest, his hands went clammy and he put his right hand over his phone. He rushed to the bed, putting his arms around her. He needed to do something for Becca, but he didn’t know what. He was going to come clean! He was going to tell her his feelings, and hopefully if everything went right for him, they could live a happy life after this. He rocked her gently in his arms; back and forth. They sat that way for almost ten minutes when he looked down her eyes were fluttering. Demetri grabbed Beccas wrist checking her pulse, it was getting slower; it was now or never to tell her. He leaned down to whisper in her ear. “Becca, Ive loved you forever, I still will when you are gone. But recently I have started to love you less and less as a friend, but more and more..well more than a friend.: She was asleep, her pulse almost nothing. He was too late. Demetri gently laid her on the bed, then he took out his phone and pressed one. He urgently talked, steady and clear. He hung up the phone, sirens wailed almost directly after he did. Lights flashed through the flimsy curtain. Demetri rushed to the front door to open it, the paramedics rushed into the driveaway hoping out and filing into the house. Demetri was crying, and he didn’t even realize he was until a paramedic put a gentle hand on his shoulder. He told him she was going to be okay it did nothing to help him. They shuffled Becca threw the door on a gurney; she looked so innocent laying there in her favorite t shirt. The paramedics allowed Demetri to ride in the back of the ambulance, but Demetri couldn’t see, the world was spinning. He felt the cold ambulance floor meet his face, he had fainted.

ALL THE ROADS WE HAVE TO WALK ARE WINDING , and all the lights that us there are blinding. [/sup] this post is 342 words long. it was written for Demetri!. Becca thinks tonight is the night! She is wearing this
[/sup] THERE ARE MANY THINGS I'D LIKE TO SAY TO YOU, but i don't know how. A smile graced Becca's pale lips as she lay back on the bed. The room was already spinning, though it was more from nerves than the pills. She closed her eyes, relaxing her whole body to let the medicine take effect as soon as possible. The dealer had gaurenteed the pills would have their full effect in fifteen minutes tops. Once it hit the heart it would shut it down, killing the rest of the nerves.
Becca heard Demetri's rushed footsteps on the carpet of her room and felt her body being lifted up into his arms. He was rocking her gently and she laid her head on his chest, her eyes opened but still heavy. She heard the pounding of her blood in her own ears then heard Demetri's voice. She struggled to hear what he was saying as he checked her pulse which had slowed dramatically.
'Becca, Ive loved you forever, I still will when you are gone. But recently I have started to love you less and less as a friend, but more and more..well more than a friend.'
A silent tear rolled down her face as her eyes closed. She tried to fight the blackness overtaking her brain, the hazy fog that prevented her heart from beating. She wanted to stop this all! She didn't even know he loved her and now she was dying. Dying without ever telling him.
"I love you, Demetri." It was a faint, shaky whisper as her pulse slowed to almost nothing. She didn't even know if he heard before her heart beat no more.
She was totally blacked out on the ride to the hospital as paramedics stuck needles in her arms, shocked her heart, tried to keep her alive. She wasn't totally gone, a fighting instinct kept her alive. The thought of the future she and Demetri could have together kept that faint pulse buried deep in her veins. She would not let her heart die now that it had such a reason to live.
