it had been a long day to jayden, even though the day had just started. as he walked into the classroom, he looked around. a few of his friends were already in the room, and there were people he had never really paid much attention to. if they weren't in his grade, he didn't really pay much attention to people. as he sat down in his chair, he caught site of a new girl. looking at her, he turned in his chair. "you're new, right?" after asking the question, he immediately felt dumb. of course she was, since he had never seen her before. taking a deep breath, he looked over at the front of the room. the teacher wasn't there yet, so he figured he'd make conversation. "i'm jayden, and you are?" he asked politely. kindness went a long way. running his fingers through his hair, he looked towards the door, watching other people pile in. waiting for a response, he looked back at the girl out the window. the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. he couldn't wait to go to practice after school.

Shioh was still singing quietly to herself when the boy started to talk to her.She hoped he hadn't heard her singing.Shi didn't have a bad voice,it was actually really nice, but shi was a bit.....shy,when it came to her singing.Shiloh thought she saw a sheepish look on the boys face, which made her smile to herself."I am new,and my name is Shiloh, but people usually call me Shi"Shiloh stuck out her hand, not in the Jamming-your-hand like-a-dagger kind of way but more of a small polite way.She shifted in her chair a little, only to have her thighs ache. She hadn't had much time to exercise lately because of the move here, but once she was done moving into her apartment she had pulled her running shoes on and went for a jog.Shi had always loved to play sports. She had played softball, lacrosse, and soccer throughout her life.By looking at her though some one probably couldn't tell she loved the feeling of running out of breath from a long jog,or that she didn't care if she got sweaty. Right now she wore skinny jeans,a pretty red tank top, which had a black leather jacket pulled over her shirt. She wore black boots that stopped at her ankles.the heels weren't to high though, because Shi was already 5'9 and hadn't wanted to tower over everyone else. She always had a good sense of fashion, but her life didn't revolve around it.She didn't mind coming to school in a sweatshirt and her converse."So Jayden, anything interesting about this town"her friends in her old town had told her it was odd here.Shi wouldn't mind a solid heads up. Note:im sorry it took so long to reply! My internet wasn't working,I fell bad for not being able to reply sooner. Outfit: click

jayden wasn't a very observant person. it wasn't because he was stupid, or didn't care, it was because most of the time he was off in his own little world. when the girl reached out her hand, jayden shook it, probably a little harder than the girl expected. jayden had callused hands, from hours of practicing sports, and helping his dad around the house. it was never a dull moment when he was home, and he was always ending up with scars, or callused hands, etc. jayden never expected to go through the day without an injury. whether it was a minor paper cut, or a broken bone, he was always going to walk out with something. shiloh asked him if there was anything interesting about this town, and jayden had to think about that for a minute. it really depended on who you were. it wasn't the biggest town, but there were things to do. it seemed like everyone had a secret, and they were hiding something. for jayden, he liked bigger towns where there were tons of things to do. "well, it depends. but i will tell you this, watch out, because you may think you can trust someone but you cant." jayden had been betrayed many times by people around here, most of them people he thought that he could trust. jayden pulled on his shirt, a shirt representing one of his favorite sports teams. usually his clothes had something to do with sports. sports were his life. him without sports just didn't belong together. along with his shirt, he was in a pair of new jeans he had bought just last week. jayden wasn't big into caring how he looked. jayden racked his brain trying to think of how he could make conversation. "do you play sports?" he asked.

Shiloh thought about Jaydens answer about the town.It sounded like he had some experience with being betrayed, but Shi tried not to think about it to much.Shi nodded her head when he asked if she played sports and then said "ya,I played a lot of sports,my favorite is baseball"Shi figured he would ask a question like that, she had noticed his shirt and how rough his hand was.Shiloh's hand never got to bad when she played,it was mostly her feet. She had thought about joining the track team, and was going to look more into it. "so you like sports" Shi said.It wasn't a question, but more of a statement. She smiled up at Jayden, being polite. He was extremely cute, and muscular. He kinda of reminded her of her brother, who was now in the military. The thought made her smile wider. She wondered if he had a good sense of humor, like her brother had. She suddenly wanted to get to know him better, but she was to shy to ask to hang out.The words were stuck in her throat, she didn't know him and that would just be odd,or so Shiloh thought anyway. She had always had trouble opening up to people. She had rushed into "friendships" in her past to only be stabbed in the back.

he smiled when she said that her favorite sport was baseball, they would definitey have something to talk about now. jayden could talk about baseball for hours, but he didn't want to bore anyone. some people loved baseball, but they could't talk about it for long. that was the complete opposite of jayden. "who is your favorite baseball team?" he asked. for jayden it was the boston red sox, he was a complete freak fan. when she said he liked sports, it was pretty much just a statement. everyone got that from jayden. jayden couldn't help but look the girls body over, he was a guy. she looked like the type of girl who kept care of herself, which jayden liked. not that he would hit on her, since he totally liked a few girls right now. but that didn't mean he could't be her friend or start liking her. "yeah, i love sports. are you going to join any?" he asked. jayden thought about how to carry on a bit more. "well, do you wanna hang out sometime? i have baseball after school... but maybe after?" he smiled.

Shi smiled at Jayden.Red sox.hmmm."My favorite team are the Tampa Rays" Shiloh had lived in Florida for about a year, and had taken on a serious liking to them. She had even went to a few games.Shi loved the game of baseball. She especially liked to have close guy friends over to watch and discuss games. It was even more fun when her friend was rooting for the other team.Nothing like a little friendly competition.Shi listened to Jayden and nodded. "I was thinking about joining the track team" Shi said. She was fast, but had never joined a track team.It seamed like fun and Shi felt confident she would be good at it. ""well, do you wanna hang out sometime? i have baseball after school... but maybe after"he said Shi smiled at his invitation to hang out,and seeing the teacher finally walk in,she quickly replied with "that sounds fun".She pointed at the teacher with her eyes, indicating class was starting and leaned back in her seat. Maybe it wouldn't suck to be the new kid.

when she said that she was joining the track team, he smiled a bit. he knew some people on the track team, and they were nice people. it seemed like once you joined a sport at the school, you automatically had friends because people looked out for you. "if you join the track team, you'll for sure make new friends. i promise. i have some friends on the track team, i could put a good word out for you if you'd like." he smiled. jayden was never usually this friendly, but he really couldn't help it. when the teacher walked into the room, jayden cursed under his breath. if there was one thing jayden hated more than anything, it was class. jayden wished there was a big fast forward button so he could go to baseball practice, or after.
