Syeria was beginning to have trouble sleeping again considering she was home alone a lot these days and it depressed her to be alone for such a length of time. She was half tempted to call Tommy or Eli to have them come over and just sit with her for night but having Tommy so close would be a bad idea for her right now. However,she picked up her phone and called her best friend Elijah Allen and the other boy she really liked but no one knew about her feelings for Thomas which is how it was going to stay,She was asking Eli to meet her outside Walgreens to hang out because she had no desire to be inside anywhere or be in her own house right now.

Kizzy threw on jeans and a sweat shirt before walked to Walgreens,it was officially ten minutes after one a clock in the morning but she was not really worried about anything right now because she was in one of those moods.She made it to the parking lot of the store getting mud and water splashed on her white sneakers as she mumbled something in french angrily but she took a seat on the sidewalk to text Eli.


"Hey i'm at Walgreens...please meet me here."was what the text said before she sent it off to him.

At the time Kizzy texted him Eli was fast asleep in his bed falling out of it when he got the text message, “who is texting me at this time at night” he muttered under his breath standing up and grabbing his phone from the place it held on his dresser. Looking at the message he sighed, he was in pajamas and tired but he was always going to be there for Kizzy so when she texted him he knew he had to be there, no matter how much trouble he’d be in for leaving and he knew that was probably going to be the case and he was probably going to end up in trouble. Leaving your house at one in the morning was normally what bad kids might have done but never Eli, had was hardly one to really even go outside. Slipping his shoes on he slipped his phone in the pocket of his jacket zipping it up. It was always sorta cold at this time in the day she he best be prepared.

Sneaking out of his room he headed down the stairs grabbing one of the house keys stuff it into his pocket as well before heading outside looking at his phone again texting Kizzy, “On my way”. It was only about a ten minute walk and when he got there he looked around for her spotting her sitting on the sidewalk. “Any reason why you are sitting here at Walgreens at say one thirty in the morning” he muttered sleepingly. “You kind woke me up” he added.

Syeria looked up once she saw her best friend coming her direction which she formed a smile on her lips,he kind of looked unhappy or at least tired probably was that one since it was one something in the morning.She thought he looked with such a sleepy facial expression while feeling the sudden urge to ruffle his hair up which she did just as he sat down next to her."Because silly i was lonely at home and really just did not wanna be there."She answered his question before leaning on his shoulder.

Elijah frowned when he sat beside her and she ruffled his hair, he was still half asleep and it showed. His short dark brown hair was a mess and he was wearing a dark green jacket, his favorite color. When she leaned her head on his shoulder he yawned again, he was pretty sure he was going be falling asleep soon enough. “You messed my perfectly messy hair up even more than it was you know” he muttered under his breath, “you know you should get a pet. So you wouldn’t have to wake your best friend up at one in the morning to come be with you. Not that he mind it at all though” he looked at her with a smile. “Although if anyone at my house wakes up and notices my absence” he didn’t want to think about that.

Syeria rolled her eyes before she smiled once more,"I don't need a pet because you are way cuter to look at this early in the morning but you are all the time."she said shyly and laid her head on his shoulder.She really did like Elijah more then just her best friend,he was really sweet and god knows he put up with her crap all the time,it was just confusing when she liked two different people at the same time but Eli didn't know about her feelings for Thomas. "If anyone notices you are gone all they have to do call your phone,just tell them you are with me.i'll take the wrap for it.She added.

“So would a very cute dog, and it would mind being woken up this early in the morning either and I can sleep and not need to be woken up when you feel lonely. I mean sleepy Eli did not wanna get up” he muttered yawning again. He really didn’t mind being here since he enjoyed being with Kizzy but he was very tired right now having just woken up from his sleep. “So tired” he groaned, looking at Kizzy. “Why couldn’t you have been up say three hours from now, four in the morning is better than one in the morning” he muttered. Yes he was complaining because he was tired,” will do. You get to get yelled at, not me”

Syeria was listening to her friend whine about being so tired when she had not even been to bed yet and the fact it was so hard for her to sleep in a empty house when all she wanted was to have her brother in the same house with her while things go back to the way they were.She was off in her own little world again when she looked up at suddenly as she moved a hand through his hair once more and sighed softly."Elijah i was lonely i'm sorry i woke up but i did not want to ask you to walk the way to my house and besides..I've been wanting to do this for a few days now."Kizzy said to her friend before she leaned in closer to him and kissed him softly.She could feel her heart instantaneously beat in her chest once more before she pulled away and blushed while looking away from him.

Even though Elijah was totally complaining he was very cute in doing so, his eyes looking sleepingly and his voice tired and quiet. “Kizzy I know you were lonely, I understand that because you’ve told me that many times since I’ve been here and I’m quite okay with that. I really am Kizzy” Elijah said right before she kissed him, when she kissed him his breath caught in his throat and he was in total shock. He was never kissed before, and this was his very first kiss and it was with his best friend. His heart was beating out of his chest and his cheeks flushed red the very moment she pulled away and the word “wow” escaped his lips. So that was what first kisses were like, that really surprised him.

Syeria's heart was starting to calm down finally after a few seconds of silence between the two of them before she looked back over at Elijah while giving him a worried look."Wow what?"she asked not really understanding why he had said that.She was becoming nervous again in the mean time of waiting for a reaction out of her best friend.

Eli’s heart was just starting to calm down to, he was surprised that she kissed him but actually very happy that she did since it was his first kiss and a lot less awkward coming from her. “That was my friend kiss you know” he said quietly running his fingers slowly over his lips his face turning red, everyone knew that he only know he had his first kiss. That much was almost obvious when you met him and actually got to know him.

Syeria tilted her head as she looked over at her friend and smiled shyly."It was my first kiss too but since we like each other i just thought it would be more appropriate for it to be with you."she replied as she laid her head back down on his shoulder so she could hide the blushing of her cheeks again. She was happy now that she had finally gotten the courage to do what she wanted for the past few days. Eli was a sweet guy and he wouldn't judge her for just having her first kiss.

Eli was still bright red now, “I figured it was your first kiss to and I’m sorta glad this it is because having your first kiss doesn’t seem to be as bad as having your first kiss with anyone else” he said really quietly quickly looking down almost embarrassed. People actually use to tease him about never having his first kiss, but he was just really waiting for the best time and seems like a few minutes ago was the best time. “You know my brothers will tease me” he almost laughed, he wouldn’t be surprised since it was something they would just do. "I'm okay with that though" he added even quieter, and he really was okay with that to. Why wouldn't he be okay with it really, he was use to them just teasing him.

Syeria put her hand on her friend's shoulder and placed her chin on it while she leaned on him for support."That's what brothers are for. I just wish Colin was more like that instead of being an arse and acting like he is my body guard."she said with a frown.Kizzy really had no idea what would happen between her and Eli after this kiss but she didn't want it to become awkward because he is best friend but she been catching herself wanting more then that which scared her then she thought of Thomas and become even more messed up.

“Well sometimes maybe he just feels like you need protecting and who can blame him really, this town can be a little well interesting sometimes you know. Almost dangerous, I know firsthand people are really cruel” Elijah shrugged just trying to shed some light on all of this. He know since the kiss things between them could get really awkward and he was hoping he’d be ready for it.

Syeria shook her head as she listened to Eli,"I really do not care about him wanting to protect me anymore because i can handle my life on my own."She said stubbornly while she moved a strand of her hair out of eyes to look at him better.She had no desire to lose her friend over this but if it started to happen could she really handle it?
