Fawn walked across the parking lot, shielding her eyes from the intense heat and light of the sun. As she walked into the library, she wanted to smile in relief. Fawn didn’t enjoy the summer heat, and prayed autumn would come sooner. Especially since she was to insecure to were shorts, or anything that showed to much chest. She had a good reason, though. Fawn walked over to a small group of books that consist of romances. She was extremely intelligent, always had earned high scores in math, science, history, and language arts. She always scored the best, Fawn was very book smart.
She wasn’t here to read a text book, she simply felt like reading for pleasure. She loved romance novels, especially the certain scenes in most, which was odd because she didn’t seem like the person that would.
Fawn walked to a table, sat down, and began reading. She twirled her thick, wavy hair as she did so, wrapping the dark, soft strands around her finger, unwinding it, and started over. She sighed blissfully, happy she finally got a day off from the hospital to relax. She soon got so evolved in the book, she was practically apart of it.
Reading about other people falling in love was a bit odd for Fawn. She never had been in love before, she had a couple of crushes, but not actual love. She wondered if it was like how it was in the books. She shook her head, No, she thought, Reality is never how it is in the books. What were the odds that someone fell in love with a nerdy, shy, insecure girl like Fawn. She frowned, picked up the book, and put it back on the shelf. She had read that book anyways. She browsed the rows of books, looking for something that looked good enough. Fawn was picky when it came to what she read. If only a good book could just fall right down on me, she thought with a smirk. Wouldn't that be something?
