Ianto ordered, placing the money down on the bar. If he was going to party tonight, he was going to do it properly. The hangover he'd had earlier was beginning to fade away now, but he imagined the pain of it tomorrow would be ten times worse. However, that was not his concern right now. Ianto's one concern was having a good time.[/ul]

Nora was busy reading her books, studying for the test she was going to have two days later when she received a text from a good of hers and Dylan's best friend, Ianto to catch him up for a drink or two in the sparkles. This had to be the first time Ianto had invited Nora to the club. Luckily it wasn't too late so she could walk out of the house without informing anyone where was she heading to and Dylan wasn't around either to flood her with questions. It was only nine pm. Pulling on one of her new black top and jeans short, she stood in front of the mirror, wondering how did she look? She wasn't trying to look good tonight, just wondering how her new top looked onto her. She had never wore something like that before so a change was good. Although she didn't look the 'oh so very innocent and decent' type of Nora but a change was always good.
Driving her way to the club, she parked her car in the parking lot and walked into the club. She pulled out a cigarette from her pack and placed it between her lips and lighted it up. Inhaling and exhaling, she walked around the crowd to find Ianto. Nora wasn't really the type to party and get laid or anything but drinking, oh she loved it. the only reason she dropped into the club most of the time was to grab a glass or two of coke or vodka and return back to home before anything bad happened. Spotting Ianto at the bar she made her way towards him and settled next to him on the seat. She patted him on his back. '' Hey pal. How come you invite me here? This had to be the first time and she was curious to know why he did that? She threw her cigarette on the ground and stepped on it. The bartender asked her what she wanted and she shook her head. '' No thanks. I'm not here to drink today. she said. She had changed her mind. he wasn't going to drink today. She had to go back home and pull on all nighter and study for the test if she wanted to get full marks. She ran her hand through her hair, messing up with them as they fell onto her eyes and covered her face. She turned her attention towards Ianto, wondering what was he upto for tonight.

Ianto explained with a grin. "I would've invited your brother too, but rumour has it he's found himself a solid lady friend. Thought if I invited him out he'd get drunk and effectively destroy it," Ianto pointed out. "I'm a good friend, I know," he joked, taking another drink from the glass and shifting slightly when Nora sat down. He took a second to digest what she was wearing, and he glanced her up and down, an eyebrow raised as a sly smile spread across his face. She certainly looked different, Ianto had never seen her dress quite like that before. It made a change from the normal Nora. "No drink?" Ianto asked, putting the glass down on the bar so quick he was afraid he was going to break it. "Are you pregnant, Nora?" Ianto asked. "Who's the dad? I'll knock his face in," Ianto smirked. He knew there would be another answer to Nora not drinking - although part of him wondered if she could be... No. Ianto shook his head slightly, it was a stupid assumption. Nora wasn't pregnant, that would be insane. There'd be a simple explanation, he figured. He took another drink from his own glass and began to wonder if he should get drunk tonight. He didn't want a sober Nora to have to look after him.[/ul]

Nora knew dressing up a little different could drop a few mouths open but she didn't do it with any nasty intention in her mind. She had gone shopping with a couple of friends and they helped her pick out some cool outfits, this one had to be one of them and she found no harm in trying it on for tonight. But if people were going to judge her then it'd bother her a little. And if Dylan told her that she wasn't allowed to dress up like that then she will listen to him, for she couldn't afford to upset her dear brother. She nodded her head as Ianto spoke. '' That's very thoughtful of you. '' she said. Boys. Oh God! Why do boys always want to bang someone when they were drunk? Couldn't they just go home and sleep, like Nora did. She would drink all she could and then go off to bed. This way she kept herself saved from getting herself knocked up by anyone. Well there was once she did 'it' but that was a mistake. She was drunk and he was drunk and they were best friend so it did create awkwardness between them but she had always had a huge crush on him so she didn't really regret it nor was she proud of it. Actually she had forgotten about it and considered it like anything like that never happened. That taught her a lesson to get drunk only in her own room and not at some other place or with anyone else.
She was knocked out of her thoughts when he told her that he knew he was a good friend.'' I don't doubt that. '' she smiled. I-d-don't really get it, why do you guys always want to do you know.. erm.. do 'it' after you get drunk? I mean.. can't it be like just go home and go off to s-sleep. Cause t-tthat's what I do.'' she stuttered. It was hard for her to talk about having sex with Ianto. This had to be the first time such a topic crossed their conversation but she was the one who brought it up out of her idiotic curiousity.
The bartender asked Nora for her order and she said that she wasn't there to drink. Both, drinking and smoking wasn't any good for her health. She couldn't quit on smoking but she could try to keep herself away from drinking. As much as tempting it was to just grab herself a drink, that much painful it would be for her. As she will be vomiting out and suffering. Also she had to study tonight or else she wouldn't be able to get full marks for the upcoming test. Ianto said the most disturbing thing ever. She looked at Ianto, narrowing her eyes. '' Shut up! I'm not pregnant. '' she said. Running her hand through her hair she wondered if she should tell him that she is sick and has cancer? He was a friend of hers and he had the right to know. '' I'm just very sick so I should be avoiding drinking as much as I can. And I plan to study tonight and drinking wouldn't allow me to do.'' she explained. '' Whoa whoa, slow down mister! You aren't planning to get drunk, are you? Cause I really don't think dealing with a drunk person all on my own is going to be any easy for me so please. Put the drinks away till I'm here and let's just talk. '' she said, putting his drink away and looking at him. Dealing with drunkards was definitely not the best thing for Nora. She wanted to avoid it because when a person was drunk they didn't know what they were doing and the least thing she wanted was to get in any sort of such a trouble.

Ianto pointed out, although he figured he probably shouldn't enlighten her with revealing tales about her brother. Best leave that side of things relatively untouched, Ianto figured. "And you don't have to have a shag because you're drunk," he added. "That was quite wise, I should write fortune cookies," he pondered, jokingly. "Not all guys do, some guys... like Dylan," Ianto pointed out. What did Ianto do when he got drunk? Bad things, but very rarely did it ever involve a girl or getting laid. That wasn't on drunk Ianto's list of crazy priorities. He wasn't about to try and convince Nora he was different from all the other guys, mostly because he wondered if she'd even believe him. Again, another of those things he decided not to enlighten Nora with. He took another drink from the glass and looked across at Nora as she stated that she wasn't pregnant at all. He nodded once, a small indication of his relief that her lack of drinking wasn't due to the fact she was knocked up. He couldn't imagine Nora with a child, or, for that matter, Dylan as an uncle - he was barely responsible for himself let alone anyone else. "Very sick?" Ianto repeated, looking across at Nora with eyes narrowed. He didn't protest or try to stop her when she pulled the drink from his grasp. He could always pick it up later, he supposed. However, Ianto's primary concern right now was Nora's words and the way she'd phrased it. When people had a cold, or when they were ill, they told you they were sick. Occasionally, 'very' was used in front of it, but mostly when you were a guy dying from flu or something of the kind. Ianto didn't think he'd ever heard anyone say 'very sick', not since his gran had died five years ago. He shifted in the seat, almost uncomfortable now. He wanted to shelve that though and just talk with Nora, ignore everything he'd thought when she'd told him that. Ianto didn't want to seem like he was dwelling on it too much. It was nothing, he was sure of it. "Right, fine, drinks away," Ianto assured her, looking longingly at the coke and vodka she'd just removed from his reach before turning to look back at her. He'd sacrifice the drinking in exchange for Nora's company right now. It was that or sit here alone until someone else he could text would turn up. "Talk then, let's talk," he told her, finding it odd now he had nothing in his hand to occupy him. He picked up one of the coasters and began to flip it over between his fingers. [/ul]
