Samantha James has spent her entire life in this town. Born to parents Melissa and Raymond James, Samantha's father skipped out on her and her mother when she was sixteen months old after Samantha was diagnosed with Quad Spastic Cerebral Palsy.

Even in her early life, Samantha was determined not to let her disability hold her back, moving on from wheelchair, to crutches, to walker as soon as the next piece of equipment was offered to her.

Samantha met Christopher Delessio at the age of five, Delessio was seven at the time. By the time Samantha was thirteen, she and Delessio began dating, and they were engaged shortly after she turned seventeen. Within months of the engagement, Samantha became pregnant with Delessio's child, but tragically not long after the couple announced this, Delessio was killed in a drunk driving accident while bringing Samantha home from a doctor's appointment.

She gave birth to a baby girl, Hailey Elizabeth Marie Delessio, who also shares her mother's disability. With her mother's help Samantha became a nurse after her daughter's birth and supports Hailey through that and the occasional appearance singing at state fairs and such.

Samantha can be very shy around people she doesn't know very well, mostly because trust is very difficult for her. She's afraid to get close to people for fear of losing them like she lost Christopher. If she does allow herself to get close to a person she can be very bouncy and bubbly. She is a self proclaimed mother hen as she is known for going into "nurse mode" at the first sign that someone she cares about is sick.

As far as friends goes, trust isn't easy for Sammy. She's afraid to let people in not only because she's afraid of getting hurt, but she's afraid of losing someone for a second time the way she lost Chris. If you manage to break down the walls that she's spent so many years building, you'll have a loyal friend that will stick by you though anything.

Most of Samantha's enemies are more people that she perceives as her enimes, people she thinks are judging her due to her disability and the fact that she was a teen mother.

Lovers wise I have a plan to put up a request for an older friend of Sammy's that left town after Christopher died, but has returned after nine years to findd out if he has a chance with her.

Well, Sammy was probably very hurt when he left, so it's probably going to take time for her to trust him again.

mia & sammy okay, so mia has a three year old little girl and maybe the girls meet at the park and get along well, of course there's a big age gap but it could be like a sisterly bond. mia has the looking like the father problem too because elsie's father raped mia and when elsie pulls certain faces all mia can see is the guy who forced himself on her. so although its for a completely different reason mia can relate. mia is passed it though and elsie is everything good in her life. i think these two would make good friends.

They're around the same age, so maybe they're acquantainces, but I can't see them being extremely good friends because of how guarded Sammy is sometimes. Maybe they can start becoming better friends though?[/ul][/size]
