Building Up the Courage ( Sammy )

Caleb really didnt know why he was doing this but he had heard his old friend Sammy worked at the Hospital now, and he wanted to see her but was to scared to just show up at the door step, and talk to her so he was standing the the hospital gift shop buying flowers so it would look like he was here to visit someone when he really wasnt. Caleb handed the girl behind the counter his money then turned and walked out of the gift shop.

Caleb really didnt know what to do after this he hadnt thought it threw so he walked over to a chair, and sat there trying to think out the next step of his plane. Caleb hadnt been back to this little town in nine years, and he was hoping that would play to his advantage so no one would remember what he looked like. Caleb put the flowers in a chair next to him if he ever found sammy he would give them to her, but he knew that was going to be the hard part. Caleb knew he would have to build up the Courage to talk to her but he decided it would be better just to wing it when he saw Sammy.

Sammy was working fast track cases that day. She had to go pick Hailey up from the sitter's in an hour. Pushing her walker alone with her, she sighed at the looks she was getting from people. Most people didn't think she could do her job very well, because her disability got in the way, but Sammy was one of best nurses there. Her excellent bedside manner and motherly nature, made her one of the most highly requested nurses. She had no idea what she was in for that day.

Caleb got up from his chair, and walked up to the information desk he decided maybe he could ask someone there what floor Sammy was on. He walked up to the counter waiting for someone to help him when a nurse walked up behined him and asked " Sir can i help you with anything you look a little lost " Caleb jumped a little then turned around he decided a little white lie wouldnt hurt so he said " Im sorry im here to surprise my sister its her birthday her name is Sammy." If the nurse new Sammy he would be caught before he even got the chance to see her but to his luck the nurse said " Follow me i can take you to where she is. "

Caleb walked through a couple double door then to a nurses station where he was told to wait, and Sammy would be coming by here in a couple minutes so he sat down at a chair in the hall way getting ready for something he never thought he would do in his life he knew that Sammy would be excited to see him but would she be mad that he left in her time of need.
