The breezy beach air was refreshing. Adelaide smiled lightly as she shoved her toes down in the sand. She hadn't been to the beach in months, and today had seemed like a good day to go. It was actually quite the drive from her house, but she was sure that it would be worth it. Fresh air would do her some good, and before long, her baby bump would be evident. She really didn't plan to go to the beach at that point. How could she when most girls choose to parade around the beach in next to nothing? And though Adelaide normally would have been one of those girls, today she didn't feel like that. She sat on the sand, her beach bag next to her and a sundress on over her new bikini. Even though the baby bump didn't yet exist, she still felt paranoid at the thought that someone might see through her facade if she stripped down to so little. She felt overdressed for the beach, but she wasn't overly concerned. It didn't seem overly crowded here today, anyhow.
Adelaide leaned forward now, resting her chin on her knees. Her eyes traced over the incoming waves as she sat there quietly. She reached for her phone, opting on rather or not to text someone to join her. Lately, it seemed, that she had been ignoring most of her incoming texts or calls. With the shock of the baby, she had pulled away from most of the people that she held the dearest. So, she skimmed past many of the names that she would have normally texted. She only paused over one name in particular. Volkan.
Before she really even realized what she was doing, Addie sent a quick text to the boy, inviting him to join her on the beach. She set her phone down next to her and bit her lip. She really wasn't sure what her intentions were... but some company was better than none, right? She hadn't talked to Volkan in forever. They had been close, dated, broken up, and were -somehow- still friends. Addie was uncertain of her feelings now... but, that was really the least of her worries.
