Aidric walked out of the high school, ready to take a nap. He had been staring at text books and over-head projectors all day, and his eyes demanded to be shut. It didn’t help he pulled a all nighter as well. He started to walk in the direction of his home, arguing with himself if he should do his homework when he got home, or in the morning on the way to school. He nodded, on the way to school it was. He put his headphones in, getting lost in song as he walked.
Aidric paused as he hear kids shout, loud enough for him to hear through his music. He pulled the headphones out of his ears, and turned his head in the direction of the park. He smiled as he remembered all the times he had gone to that very park with his friends before he moved to London. He met his first crush there when he was 6, he remembered giving the girl a note that read do you like me? And had a box for yes and a box for no. He couldn’t remember what box had been checked off, but he smiled at the memory never less.
Aidric walked over to the park without thinking. He had the strongest urge to look around at what used to be his favorite place as a kid. They had added a slide and a few new swings, which Aidric thought was a good thing since he had argued with the other kids a lot about taking turns. He walked over to a empty swing, tossing his backpack to the side before he sat down. It was on of the older swings, so a bit of rust stuck to his hands as he gripped the hot metal. It was a hot summer day, and Aidrics black mop of hair seemed to soak in all the sunlight. He ran a hand through his hair, sure enough it was hot. Even with the suns intense heat, he didn’t want to leave. Honestly he wanted to sit there and think about his childhood. If he had it his way, he would probably being going down the slide right now, but he was just a little sane.
