Thrilled. Marnie was thrilled. This has to be the best part of her life. She got her dream job of a chef in one of the most expensive restaurant, which meant she would be earning a good amount of green notes. She had worked previously in a little restaurant whose manager put in a good word for Marnie in Lipton's restaurant and they had called up Marnie last week to inform her that she was hired. Gathering up all the most needed items she was going to take along with her to her new apartment, she decided to move in Lipton as soon as possible. It took her a week to pack up all the stuff and go to Lipton to find herself a small, peaceful and mostly importantly affordable apartment. As soon as she found one, she started to move her furniture and other needed items in trucks to her new apartment. Basically she had to empty up her old apartment so she had to take everything along. Today was the last day of delivering the last few furniture like sofa, bed, table and a few boxes filled up with decorating items. The truck parked beside her house, putting down all the items and the sofa in front of her house and asked her for money. She gave them how much they asked for and they left without feeling the need to help her in shifting the sofa and other boxes into the house. Marnie cursed as she watched the truck go. '' Bloody morons! Oh great now! How the hell am I going to carry all of this stuff into the house? Especially this sofa and bed. Oh God!'' she jumped onto her feet in annoyance.
It took her not more than two minutes to calm down herself and make up her mind to get in some action. She folded up her sleeves and started carrying in all the boxes, picking up two at once and walking in and out after every three minutes. She tried to pick up the sofa but it wasn't easy for her to take it in all on her own. She needed some help but there wasn't anyone around. She tried picking up the sofa, pushing it in the house door but it wasn't working out. She had to be some super woman to carry it inside. Sighing to herself, she turned around and started to walk towards the boxes to pick them and carry them inside.
She didn't notice there was a stone laying in front of her and she stumbled upon it, and fell upon the person who stood in front of her. He seemed to be walking towards her.She grasped as they fell on the ground and she had fallen over him. Her eyes searched his and her hair fell on his face as she pulled herself up. ''Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. This is so embarrassing. '' she muttered, pulling herself up and held out her hand for him to hold and get up, that was the least she could do for being such a mess.

it had been a normal day for christian. go to work, come home, finish up some things he was working on, etc. but he needed to get outdoors for a bit, so when his dog whimpered that he needed to go outside, he immediately jumped up to take him for a walk. ever since he had gotten his dog, it had been nothing but a love/hate relationship. half of the time he loved having his dog around, but sometimes the little thing drove him insane. ringo was the name for the little boxer, yet the name annoyed christian. he had gotten the dog from an animal shelter right after he moved here, and it already had a name. no matter how many times he had tried to get the dog to get used to a new name, it always ended back up as ringo. standing up from his loveseat, christian grabbed the dogs leash and headed outside with his pet. it was a pretty nice day out, and usually christian would have gone for a run in this type of weather, but he just wasn't in the mood today. though nothing good had really happened today, chris was in a good mood. it must have been the weather.
after taking ringo around the block once, and letting him do his business, he put the dog back in his house. two houses down it looked like chris had a new neighbor, and he had the sudden urge to go meet her. usually chris would let the new people be, it was hard enough walking into a new town not knowing anyone. some people just didn't care to know other people, but chris was going to introduce himself. it was better meeting her now, than meeting her later on after people gossiped about him. chris never really gave anyone anything to gossip about, but there always was the few people who made up things because they had nothing better to do with their life. chris had never understood girls. he never knew why they liked to cause drama, and how they could talk on the phone for hours about nothing. it just didn't make sense to him.
as he made his way over to the girl, he heard her yelling. it didn't seem like she was having the easiest time moving. right as he reached her house, the girl stumbled on the stone and fell. right on top of him. "it's fine," he muttered, a little surprised from the sudden fall, and a girl, a very beautiful one to say the least, was on top of him. he layed there for a moment before she got up and reached her hand to him. gripping onto her hand, he rose slowly. not because he didn't want to be on his feet again, but because she was a lot smaller than he was. blinking slightly, his hand went up and combed through his hair for a moment. "i heard you earlier.. and if you need an extra hand, i'm here." chris had no problem helping out another person, especially if that person was a beautiful girl.

This definitely had to be the most embarrassing thing ever. Damn her feets and the little stone and damn her eyes that couldn't see the stone. On her first day to her new place, she got to make a complete fool of herself. She looked into his eyes, as they twinkled but she was quick enough to pull herself up. She held out her hand for him to hold and get up out of kindness and he did so and she pulled him up. He told her that he had heard what she said earlier and that if she needed any help, he could could her. It was a good offer. But she liked being independent in everything. But there was no way that a little thing like her could pick up all the furniture in. She nodded without thinking any further. '' Shifting isn't easy and those blokes are rude. They could've kept these in the house but like I said, some people are very rude and mean. I paid them extra so they could help me but.. pffft.'' she rambled. '' I really don't want to trouble you but are you sure? I've a lot of stuff to move in.
The sofa was stuck between the entrance door. She climbed up on it and ran inside and pulled on it. He had to push it in and she had to pull it in or they could just pick and walk in. With all her strength she pulled up the sofa from her side and waited for him to pick it from his side. '' Okay, good hero, let's get in some action'' she smirked. the stranger seemed to be very kind and she was so glad that someone came up to help her or else she doesn't know what she was going to do.

"really?" chris asked. chris thought it was pretty ironic how she never had parents for her, when he didn't talk to his parents anymore. they really weren't a part of his life anymore. he moved the sofa inside, placing it in the corner of the girls house, who he still didn't have the name of. chris wasn't sure if he was supposed to leave as soon as his work there was done. the house he was in was pretty empty, except for many boxes that were laying around. that was what you got when you just moved into a place, however. with the way the girl acted earlier, he didn't want to stay and then find himself being yelled at because she wanted him to leave. but for some reason his body was telling him to stay, so that's just what he was going to do.
after the girl flopped onto the sofa, he sat down beside her. when she made the comment about his hair, he wasn't sure if she was joking around, or if she really liked his hair. running his figners through his hair, he watched the girl get up and get some juice. chris had no idea how thirsty he was until he watched her pour the juice, a dry feeling in his throat. chris watched her as she made her way back over him, and boy was he watching her body. in his mind, she had the perfect body, and he was sure other boys thought the exact same thing as well. "thanks," he said, taking a drink off of the tray. "it's no problem, i like to help people when they need it, i'm christian mccallister, by the way. you can call me chris." he wouldn't mind if she called him by his real name, but most people called him chris. and christian found it easier for people to just call him chris.

For her trusting anyone wasn't easy at all but she had no other option than to allow him to help her. Also he seemed to be a very decent boy but you never know. For a minute she doubted to allow him in but something told her that she could trust him. He looked so kind, so harmless and staring in his eyes made her feel confident that nothing could go wrong. His eyes showed the clear picture of his personality. She was sure he was a nice person. She chuckled as he told her that she had to promise him not to call him bloke. '' I promise. '' she said. She had ti maintain some control on her little bad mouth. She couldn't just go on cursing or using slang words everywhere. '' Actually I never had a family to stop me from using all these bad words so I don't have any control on myself. Excuse my bad mouth. I shall try to zip it. '' she said and ran off to pick the sofa from the other side and started to walk in with the sofa in her hand and his hand from the other side and they placed it in the corner.
She ran out and picked up the two boxes at once and walked in and she helped him in bringing in the rest of the furniture. Once they were done, she fell on the sofa. Pulling herself up she decided to grab him a drink. '' Oh thank you so much Mr. erm.. very good hairstyle. Grab a seat. I'll be back in a minute.'' she got up and ran off to the kitchen. Two days ago she had come over to set up her refrigerator. She pulled it open and grabbed the bottle of orange juice, that had to be her favorite. Quickly setting up two glasses on the tray she poured in the orange juice, filling it up and rolling in some ice cubes. Walking back to him, she placed the tray on the table and pulled it towards the sofa and in front of him. She sat back on the sofa next to him before switching on the AC and the light. She pulled off her hair band and let her hair fall to her shoulder. Running a hand through her hair she looked at him. '' Thank you so much for all your help. By the way, I'm Marnie Granger. '' she introduced herself and offered him the cold juice.
