Sophia woke up, and rolled onto her back. She had stayed up late studying for her online tests, and the clock on the bedside table read 12:45. She rubbed her eyes, got up, and dressed herself. She wouldn't have to take her test online until a few more hours, so she had some free time. As she stepped into the living room, the floor cool against her bare feet, she smiled. " Afternoon, Kris" she said, her voice still a bit husky from sleep. Kris, her boyfriend, looked as if he had been up for awhile now. Sophia had been living with him for a few weeks, but her paintings already were stacking up in the hall. She had been meaning to do something with those. Soph walked over and kissed Kris lightly, having to stand on her tiptoes to do so.
she looked at her paintings "What am I going to do with those?" she said, wrinkling her nose. Sophia was a pretty good artist, she had been painting ever since she was 15, and had lots of practice.
She tended to paint whenever she was bored or was feeling a strong emotion, so there were quite a few of them stacked in front of each other.
Sure the relationship wasn’t like most, O.K. really wasn’t like most, but she had hope in it. Sophia was stubborn and once she believed in something she stuck to it, and she believed things between her and Kris were fine enough.
