I’ll be right here When your world starts to fall Skye held her shoes in one hand and her handbag in the other as she walked bouncily down the street towards the cafe. It was 10am and she had just finished a mammoth night of partying to meet the only close friend she really had in the world. Like pretty much everything in Skye’s life, it was pretty unconventional. Kizzy was three years younger than her and the little sister of one of her brief flings. How the sweet and shy Kizzy ended up friends with this troubled and difficult girl was quite a mystery but they kind of held each other up, somewhat managing to provide a little comfort and care for each other.
Skye opened the door to the cafe, immediately getting some strange looks from the people already seated as she joined the queue. She didn’t really consider how it would perhaps be viewed as odd and a little concerning that a dazed yet ecstatic young woman would just walk into a cafe wearing a tiny dress couple with cut knees, stiletto heels and last night’s makeup smudged all down her face at such a respectable time of the day. The cut knees were quite a mystery to Skye herself but she assumed they must have been the result of some drunken fall she couldn’t remember about.
”May I have a tea please?” she smiled politely at the waitress, taking a moment to look around the cafe as she waited. It was quite a small, quant place, full of couples and friends making idle chit chat over coffees and pastries. All looking quite respectable. Skye rubbed her eyes a little, removing some of the mascara which had run and settled onto her skin, giving her dark panda eyes. Hearing the tap of the cup on the counter though, she turned back, scrabbling in her purse and pulling out a handful of coins. She dumped the coins on the counter without counting them and took her tea, walking over to the table near the window to sit and wait for Kizzy. Waiting was not something Skye was particularly good at in these moods though and she tapped her finger impatiently onto the table top and she stared out of the window, giving her tea time to cool slightly before sipping it. WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS, i'm on a ride. [/sup] this post is 365 words long. it was written for Skye. Syeira thinks Skye is an awesome friend. Kizzy is wearing this [/sup] YOU'RE TOXIC, I'M SLIPPING UNDER with a taste of poison paradise; i'm addicted to you. Syeria was having one of those days where it felt like no matter what she did it wasn't going to change anything in her life. She had made a call to one of her best friends Skye to meet her at the cafe for some talk over tea and girly things like either one of them did that very well anyways.Kizzy stared at her brother who was currently drinking in the living room with his friends, he really was going to die if he didn’t stop soon and it was going to destroy her since he was all the family she had and there WAS NO way she could be on her own at only fifteen even if she was turning sixteen in three weeks.Kizzy sighed and shook her head out of her bubble of thoughts and proceeded to her room to finish getting dressed but it did take forever to find her black boots but finally she was done and closed her bedroom door.
“Colin!I’m going to the café to meet Skye. Please do not send one of your friends again to act like my bodyguard. I’m a big girl.Kizzy told her brother over the loud music before she snatched her keys from one of her brother’s obnoxious drunken buddies and left their house before Colin could say a word about it.
It had taken a lot of guts for Kizzy to stand up to her brother but lately he has practically ignored her so it didn’t matter what she did unless he found out she was hanging out with a boy or someone he didn’t like which was half of the people in Lipton. She really did deserve her own freedom with all the crap she dealt with in her life. She had taken the short cut through her neighborhood which led to the Café but the whole walk took ten minutes anyways to do. Kizzy had made it and opened the door to the small café but she was rather flustered from her walk so it took a few moments to spot her friend.
“Skye!” She yelled out from the back of the small room before heading towards the front counter where her friend stood.
DON'T YOU KNOW THAT YOU'RE TOXIC? CREDIT TO SUPER ECHO?! OF CAUTION 2.0. SHE ROCKS MY LIFE, SO I WON'T DARE STEAL FROM HER UNLESS I WANNA GET MY SPLEEN PULLED OUT THROUGH MY EAR. LYRICS BELONG TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNER(S). TOODLE-LOO!

I’ll be right here When your world starts to fall Skye tapped her fingers and then her nails against the table, rejoicing in the different sounds she could make against it’s wooden surface to match the sound of the song pumping within her head. It was lucky she could amuse herself so easily like this or she would probably go mad with impatience sometimes.. not that she could get a huge amount madder than she already was, which was maybe a small blessing. Hearing her name called over the soft music and gentle chatter of the cafe and turned immediately, spotting Kizzy walking towards her. ”Kizzz!” she squealed excitedly, getting up from her seat and wrapping her friend up in a hug.
”Let me get you tea!” she almost gasped, surprised she hadn’t thought of getting Kizzy a drink ready, how rude of her. ”Do you like tea?” she then asked, wondering why she never remembered these small details in life. Skye grabbed poor Kizzy’s hand and dragged her towards the counter, abandoning her own drink for the moment. ”Kizzy, how are you my beautiful cherub?” she continued, barely pausing for a breath and certainly not for a response between any of these ramblings. ”And how is your lovely brother?”.
Colin sounded pretty much anything but lovely sometimes but Skye said this with no hint of sarcasm in her voice. She tended to see the good in people and despite knowing the hell that Colin put Kizzy through, she still saw a redeemable character in him. Perhaps she was also slightly hanging on to the brief fling they had, a time when she really did see him as lovely. It is always somewhat difficult to convince the mind that someone you thought of as lovely is in fact a drunken idiot, so Skye held on to her original impression of him. Not that she belittled any of Kizzy’s concerns- she truly believed that he was difficult and his behaviour was concerning but she liked to think he was a good boy underneath. It was nicer to see the world through rose tinted glasses, she felt.
