hailey's eyes opened slowly to the streetlight streaming in through her thin curtains. the curtains were from a small department store. no one noticed when they slipped into her oversized back on her way home from work. she dragged her way to the bathroom and some how got undressed. she was never a morning person. it made keeping a job hard. well, hailey liked to think it was her lack of a sunny disposition before noon.
she checked the clock on her microwave. eight o'clock. perfect time to go out and have a drink. hailey walked to her closet wrapped in a towel. she knew exactly what she wanted to wear. she picked out her one-shoulder, long sleeve, electric blue short dress. she stole it from a boutique in london. they never put security tags on anything. She slipped on a pair of black high heels and got a black clutch. she put her i.d., credit card, and some lip gloss in there. she was almost out the door when she ran back in as fast as she could. make up!
she put on some dark shadowy make up and some of that lip gloss she just put away. the bar wasn't too far, and hailey had no fear for her safety so she walked. hailey's red, natural, silky waves blew out behind her as she walked confidently into the bar. she made her way through the crowd to the bar.
captain and coke, please.
she smiled widely at the bartender. she looked a little older than she was so the bartender didn't ask for her i.d. she was, after all, only twenty years old. her captain and coke was slid over to her with a straw and a napkin. she giggled as she sipped the overfull drink. the bartender couldn't stifle a small smirk and she turned to face the bar. she was determined to have fun tonight.

Aiden walked through the club, it was humid and crowded with people in skimpy clothes grinding up against each other. What a shame most of the beautiful woman out there were just teens, Aiden wouldn't come onto a teenager. He looked around, not really looking for anything, but something. Aiden hadn't left his home for fun lately, and was determined to get drunk off his arse tonight.
Aiden lived in a old two story home out in the words, not so far back that hes cut off from Lipton, and enjoyed his home quite well. the house was old and needed to be fixed in some places, but the trees surrounding it remind him of home, which was still in Ireland. Sure he had come to the states to forget his troubled past, but there were still somethings he couldn't let go of, like his fathers watch or his sisters final note...
Aiden took a deep breath and pushed the thought of his sister to the farthest part of his mind, not wanting to go there tonight. He ordered his drink, having to speak a bit loudly and clearly s the bartender didn't get confused by his accent and not to mention the place was drowned in annoying pop music that was drowned in auto tune. He nodded a thanks to the bartender as he slid his drink to him, and Aiden sat or a moment, wanting to get a buzz before he looked for someone to, hopefully, have fun with.
Something of a electric blue color caught his eye, and as he turned his head to get a full look and it pained him what he saw. The woman was pretty and she looked older, definitely someone he would try to make a move on, but her hair. It was a beautiful color, but it was so similair to his sister. If he hadn't been able to see her face he would have had a panic attack, was there no escaping his past? Aiden finished his drink and ordered another, and smiled as he heard her order. He liked the sound of her voice, she also had a nice figure, so why not flirt a little? He had come for fun.
Aiden walked to her seat and leaned on the counter beside her "Whats a pretty lass like you doing in a dump like this?" he asked, she stood out, her soft features totally opposite with the dark, damp club. She was also dressed a bit less skimpy, the blue dress was short but at least she wasn't wearing just a corset and 'Shorts' like the other girls were. The dress she wore looked mouthwatering on her, but she wasn't dressed trashy, something Aiden really liked.

hailey took a sip and looked around the bar, and wasn't too pleased with what she saw. she didn't come out here to pick up a man necessarily, but it would have been nice. all she saw were teenagers who snuck their way in somehow. all the girls were grinding against each other trying to look hotter than the group next to them. it was pathetic. of course, hailey was teenager once, but she was never like that. she liked - no, loved - to dance, but she didn't think she was as down and dirty as these "ladies." after all, you had to leave something up to the imagination.
hailey was surprised when a man leaned on the counter beside her.
what's a pretty lass like you doing in a dump like this?
oh, just trying to see what the youth of today has to offer.
she motioned towards the heaping mass of dancers and smiled. hailey turned towards the man to get a better look at him. he was gorgeous to say the least. even through the din and dark of the club she could see that.
now, maybe this is just the noise level, but was that an accent i heard?

oh, just trying to see what the youth of today has to offer.
Aiden raised a brow and looked out at the crowd thoughtfully"Good luck seein anything good" All the music was now just noises from a computer and the people all looked like the group next to them. Aiden preferred to go his own way, having a casual style but not dressing what everyone thinks they absolutely should. Not one person except for the curvy redhead next to him dressed or acted like their own person. Sure he hadn't seen the way she acts and could very easily be like any of the teens on the dance floor, but if he were to be judging by dress ten he could tell he may already like the woman beside.
now, maybe this is just the noise level, but was that an accent i heard?
Aiden smiled and chuckled, he was used to being asked, his accent tended to attract people, if not his looks. His personality could also be considered a good thing, but not many people looked past clothing style or physical appearance anymore. Aiden was patient and willing t see a glimpse at someones inner self, but if he didn't like what he saw there was no telling what he would choose to do. Aiden could be a bit unpredictable, usually going through with most of his ideas, even if they do get him in some trouble.
"Aye lass, born an and raised. Have ye lived here in Lipton long?" He asked, taking a sip from his drink. he was getting a buzz now, and the longer he sat with the woman he became more attracted to her. He scanned her appreciatively, not in a totally lustful way. The drunker he got the less he thought of his sister. The only thing of the woman that reminded Aiden of Aliannna was her hair, but that was enough to give him that heavy feeling in his chest. He gave the woman a side smile "I'm Aiden, by the way" most woman in the club at the current moment probably didn't care for names, just whether or not they were going to their placer the others, but Aiden felt like it was the polite thing to do.

Good luck seeing anything good
Hailey laughed and raised her eyebrows.
I'm glad someone's on the same page as me.
Awful music came over the speakers and Hailey probbly would have left if it weren't for the gorgeous man beside her. She took another sip and heard the clinking of her ice cubes.
Time for another!
She turned to the bar and leaned over it trying to spot the bartender. He finally noticed and brought her another captain and coke.
Aye lass, born and and raised. Have ye lived here in Lipton long?
A year or two now. It's a little different being on my own, but I like it. Is it hard for you to be so far away from home?
She took a sip of her drink. She could definitely start to feel it. Her tongue started to feel a little numb and she was definitely happy. She had a wide grin on her face and appraised the man in front of her while he was looking away. She was sure he was doing it, too.
I'm Aiden, by the way.
I'm Hailey. It's really nice to meet someone real here.
She held out her hand and smiled taking a sip of her drink at the same time. The bar stool next to her opened up. She motioned at it.
Sit!
She laughed.
Now, there are some questions I have to ask. Are you ready?
She waited for him to answer.
Are you the subdued type or the party - er type?

As the woman turned around for another drink, Aiden smiled at what she ordered. Hopefully she was the type who could handle their drink, it would suck big time if he found someone like her just for her to walk out to drunk to stand. Sure, that’s what Aiden had come for, but he was slowly rethinking it. He was already on his third drink, but he could handle it fairly well. He wondered how much it would take for the heavy feeling in his chest to go away, why did this woman have to remind him so much of Alianna? Aiden nodded at her reply. “Lots of things remind me of home, but im glad I left” In his head he thought that she reminded him of home, and he was only half glad to have left. He left because he was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to hide his, and his sisters, secret. His parents were so upset by his sisters ‘murder’ he could barely look at them.
Hailey, a pleasant name, he thought. As she motioned for him to sit he took in her bubbly personality, he was somewhat into the more quite types, but Hailey was an interesting company, also a bubbly personality was far from his sisters somber one. Plus, the captain and coke could be kicking in, whenever Aiden would drink he didn’t become more talkative, but he thought of his actions bit less, which just added onto his already unpredictable ways. Aiden sat and noticed Haileys pleasant smell, and raised an eyebrow at her next question “Ask away” he said, he would answer depending on the question. He gave her a mischievous smile, he was more of the subdued type, he knew. “I guess thats up to ye to figure out, lass” he said, insinuating he planned on wanting to stay in her company longer. He wondered just how long though…….
