The beach was always a peaceful place. This had to be Amy's favorite place. Ever since she got her license, she would drive herself to the beach whenever she wanted to be alone, even if it was late in the evening. The other day her parents and Alan parents told her that the dates for the marriage were fixed for the next week. At first Amy didn't believe it. She thought Alan's and her own parents were only teasing her but Alan made it clear to her that their parents were serious. She was lost. She didn't wanted to talk to anyone and just wanted to be alone. The other night she was rude to Alan and was trying not to face him until she had changed her mood back to normal but that was going to take some time.
Her older brother christian wanted to meet her and she texted him that she was at the beach so if he wanted to meet her he could join her at the beach. They had not met each other in a while so hanging out was a good idea. She knew he wasn't happy with her decision and always lectured her that she was ruinig her life but she didn't give a damn to what he had to say. He was living his own life and she was living hers. This compromise had not ruined her life, it only took away her freedom and she could do anything to keep her parents happy. She looked over at the shore and the waves. This place was always peaceful and Amy wished time would stop, and there would be peace in her life too. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she wiped them with her finger tips and broke into tears. She needed to let it out all at once..

it had been a long week for chris. he had been working extra hours, and he just found out that his sister was going to be married next week. chris wasn't too fond of alan, but since chris was a brother he felt like no guy was good enough for his sister. chris didn't ever show how protective he really was of his siblings, he tried to hide it. he didn't want people to know him as 'the guy who didn't let his siblings have fun.' chris did let family have fun, but he also cared so he didn't want them doing anything stupid. chris stood up from his couch, and grabbed a shirt out of the dryer, throwing it on over his bare chest. he then grabbed his hat off of his coffee table, and headed outside.
getting in his car, he slowly made his way to the beach. his sister had told him she was there, and he wanted to see and talk to her. driving to the beach, a million thoughts were running through his head. chris felt quite bad for his sister, she had no freedom to do anything, and she couldn't even marry a guy that she wanted. as he pulled into the beach parking lot, he looked around seeing if he could see his sister from the parking lot. he couldn't. making his way out of the car, he walked around until he found his sister, which didn't take long. walking over to her, he plopped himself down in the sand beside her. "hey," chris said. at the moment he had no idea what to say, but he hated seeing his sister cry. she was family, and he wanted her happy.

She felt like a puppet in the hands of her parents but there wasn't a thing she could change about it. When Chris left the house, her parents were so broken up, so upset, especially her mother. Her father nearly had a heart attack and her mother fell in a delimma for a week. They suffered for a more than a month and Amy promised it to herself that she wouldn't disappoint them at any stage, no matter how hard it was going to be to please them, she would always and always try to keep 'em happy. She wiped her tears off quickly as she heard Chris's voice and turned to look at him. ''Hello chrissy. she said with a smile. He may had disowned his parents but was always there for both Amy and Teddy. He was sometimes pain in the butt for Amy but they cared a lot for each other. She leaned over and placed her head on his shoulder. They haven't spend time together in ages and she missed having the company of her brother but he was never around. He lived in a little world of his own and she could never drag him out of it. Sometimes she felt like she had no right to do so. '' be honest, why exactly don't you like Alan? it is because of that Marnie girl?'' she had heard that Marnie was Alan's ex and it was slightly weird but she wasn't the one to over react. Marnie was Alan's past and past was always better to be forgotten and moved on.

a few years ago christian has disowned his parents. they liked to control his life, and eventually he got so sick of it that he walked away. chris vowed to never let anyone control his life, and his parents weren't an exception, even though they had brought him into this world. even though he walked away from his parents, didn't mean he wasn't going to be a good brother. after all, his siblings were innocent. chris put an arm around his sister, after she leaned her head on him. "some of it is because of marnie, yes.." chris took a deep breath, making a shape in the sand with his free hand. "and most of it is that i want you to marry who you want, not who they want," by they he meant his parents, but he was sure that amy could pick that up. chris looked out the water, moving his hand from the sand up to his face so he could block out the sun.
