[/font]he lit another cigarette as he exited his vehicle. he hadn't even considered coming to a club since his release, but he was suddenly in dire need of an alcoholic beverage and some company. he had never legally stepped foot into a bar or club before. at twenty two years old, he had spent most of his adult life behind bars. he wasn't even the one who deserved the punishment. his "friend" was the guy who killed the kid, but of course he ran off and killed himself after it was all said and done, leaving ronax to be the face of the crime. three years in prison is a long time and, honestly, he'd do anything to get those three years back. he had missed so much. not only of his life, but of his relationship. he had been in a relationship with a boy named isaac since the beginning of their junior year in high school. when high school was over, nax had managed to land himself in prison, leaving isaac on his own. honestly, he thinks it devastated his boyfriend more than it did himself. ronnie watched as he deteriorated and there was nothing he could do. he was stuck on the other side of the plate glass, watching as his incarceration ate at his boyfriend. it hurt, to say the least. so when he finally got out a couple months ago, he tried his best to make things easier for him; simply pretending that those three years never occurred and picked up exactly where they had left off.
that was one of the reasons why he decided to head out for the night. he needed to get his mind away from the fact that he had ruined both of their lives over something that he shouldn't have been punished so severely for. there was nothing he could do to change that, though, so nax was just going to drown himself in alcohol and hope it would all go away. so as he walked up to the bouncer, he flashed him his i.d. and ducked inside. once he was finally deep inside the club, he worked his way around the dancers, returning any smiles he received and declining an offer or two as he finally hit the bar. ordering a whiskey on the rocks, he leaned against the bar, forgoing the bar stool all together. when the drink finally hit his hand, he took a small sip at first. as it slid down his throat, the familiar burn only bad him smile as he gulped down the rest of it, setting the empty glass on the plastic counter top with a muted clank. as the bartender came back around, he ordered himself another one and asked them to start a tab, picking his credit card out of his wallet and handing it over. when the other drink was placed in front of him, he picked it up and turned his back to the counter, leaning against it and nursing the chilled liquid in the glass.
his eyes wandered over the many people in the building, many dancing on one other, his eyes barely unable to make out where one body started and the other began due to the ineffective light. it was fascinating to watch them bump and grind against each other and it wouldn't surprise him if there was at last one couple out there who were doing things that they shouldn't be. smirking slightly at that, his eyes danced across the blurred faces in an attempt to find someone to spend the evening with. he had absolutely no intention of making it romantic or sexual in anyway, he simply needed someone who he could wallow in his self pity with. or, better yet, someone who could drag him out of his self pit and make him feel at least a little bit better about his life.
