the mall was exactly the same as he remembered it. it was large, loud, and in constant motion. teenagers laughed and screamed as they tried to flirt with every guy they saw. brian himself was the center of attention for quite a few girls. much to their disappointment, brian just looked over their heads and walked to his destination. he took a right into a small cafe near one of hte big stores. although he didn't seem like the cafe type, he loved coming here to people watch and sit in silence. most people wouldn't bug you in a cafe.
brian sat in a tall table for two by the window. he linked his fingers and looked at the window at the crowds of teens that moved around. school would be starting up soon so there were a few families thrown in there too. brian remembered the days of being carted around by his mom for before school shopping. oh, to be young again.
brian checked his cell phone. he was going to be meeting his good friend bella here in a few. people didn't always understand why they were friends. frankly, brian didn't sometimes either. they were pretty much complete opposites. bella was the part girl and brian preferred a night at home. but they were friends anyways despite their shortcomings.
