Week ago Nora found out that she had cancer. It had to be the worst and biggest shocker of the year for her. How could she? she was too young but it was the truth, she had to face it and deal with it. Luckily the doctor gave her positive hopes that she was going to be alright if she took regular medication and she started on chemotherapy from the very day she found out about cancer. As much as she was depressed and hated her life, that much she wanted to live and fulfill all those dreams she had in her mind. Basically she was a determined person, but when something made her feel like she wasn't worth it to achieve her goal, she gave up on her hopes and every time, she felt so low and lost, her brother acted like the guiding light in her life and brought back her hopes. Even through this hardship he had promised her to drag her out of it and assured her that everything will be fine. She hoped so, too.
Nora was lazily resting in the backyard over the weekend when her neighbor knocked onto the front door and she got up to meet her. Nora's neighbor had not come alone, she brought along four little kids of hers and her sister and requested Nora to look after them for today. Knowing Nora, who was she to say 'No' to anyone? She was too sweet to reject anyone's request, although she felt she could hardly manage it. She was ill, tired with swollen limbs and back pain but she decided to give it a try. How hard could it be to handle four little adorable looking kids? Not a problem. She took in the kids and closed the door. She had to spend the rest of the day with the kids so she started to plan things up so they didn't get bored with her and had some fun. Nora absolutely loved kids a LOT. The kids were running all over the place. Some were climbing upstairs and some were in the back yard. If she had to keep up with each of them then she had to be as hyper and active as them and she, on the other hand was tired and lazy. She needed to relax and take some rest. Stressing herself wasn't going to do any good for her. It'll make her condition worse. All she wanted to do was rest on her bed and watch TV or read some story book ( as she had a bunch of those) but she wasn't the careless type to ignore the kids while she was supposed to look after them. She was patting her dog when she heard the cracking sound of glass and crying on the little kid. Hoping none were hurt she ran to look for what had happened. One of the kids had broken a glass jar and two of the other kids were crying. She cleaned up the mess of broken glass quickly and picked up one of the crying kid and patted the other kid on his head, trying to calm him down and stop him from crying. '' I know exactly what we all should do. Play with the ball! but not here, let's go to the park. How about it?'' she sounded excited. Little kids always made her feel very happy. They kids were happy too. The quickly grabbed their little toys that they wanted to take along and Nora lead them the way to the park, holding onto the hands of them and the other two sat in their pram that Nora pushed to the park.
Nora entered in with the kids and picked the two of kids out of the pram to settle them onto the ground. After doing so, she picked up the ball and threw it towards the four little kids, gently and clapped when one of them caught the ball and asked her to toss it to the other. They were standing in a circle, tossing the ball along the circle. The kids were so happy and seemed to be enjoying herself and she loved it. But she didn't feel too good. Her back was hurting, so was her head. She had to be resting around this time after taking her medicines but she hadn't taken them until now. She decided that the first thing she was going to do when she reached home was to eat her medicines and then look after the kids but the thought of it still didn't make her feel any better. She was knocked out of her thoughts when one of the kid threw the ball towards her and it hit her leg. She tossed the ball back and got carried away by her thoughts. The ball, this time passed by her and hit someone. Nora waved at the kids that she was going to get it.
She ran for the ball and bended to pick it up from the ground without looking at the person who stood in front of her, 'Oh I-er-I'm sorry. My kids were throwing it towards me but erm.. I missed it. It was all a mistake. Sorry mister - - '' she stuttered, feeling her head ache and stood up. She ran her hand through her hair and looked up at the person to see that the person who stood infront of her was someone she knew. They had turned into friends just recently and spend a little time together, always bumping bumping into each other accidentally, this was just another day they came across each other. But he had been asking her out for a date every time she met him somewhere and she refused to go, because she wasn't comfortable about it. '' Oh it's you again! Wait, were you following me or something? Because strangely, everywhere I go, you're there.'' she sounded amused, and slightly annoyed how she could always manage to have him around her most of the time.

brandon had fully been prepaired for his day out with his little sister, anna. he had the lunch packed, everything she liked, and everything he liked. it was always fun to be around his little sister, but he rarely got time for it with his busy life. he grabbed hold of the six years hand, and moved quickly down the street with her. he had hold of the bag in his other hand, and a few toys for her.
the blue eyes stare up at her big brother and then she said" brodahh, is the park big?" his eyes looked back down at his little sister, and said" yes, you can run around, but not to far from me, please." she nodded, and said" yes, captian monkey." for some reason or another, anna always called her big brother funny names, and he always did it back. his face light up and he said" okay, goofypants." soon they walked into the park entrance. he smiled, and said" welcome, annabee." she laughed, and said" you're right, it's soo big." he laughed, and then continued to walk on. he moved to a little spot between the trees, and set up his blanket, and put down the bag on it. he looked to his little sister, and said" i have a ball for you, but please, stay close. mom will kill me if i lose you." she smiled, and said" i wouldn't lose you, brodah." he smiled, and said" good, because your not."
as the big brother, brandon was pretty protective over his little sister. even know she was only related by mother, he saw her as his real sister. brandon's dad had left his mother when brandon and his older brother were five and seven years old. he basically hated when, his mother got married to chris when he was ten years old, but after a while, he grew to like chris. his mom and stepfather had three kids together, anna being the youngest, and hopefully the last one. his eyes looked at his little sister, and smiled. she had been throwing the ball into the air, and trying to catch it. well, atleast his little sister wasn't chasing boys around just yet. oh man that stage would kill him. he saw anna as his well only little sister, and he wanted to be there, and protect her. he loved bringing her around town, and she loved being with her brother. he smiled, and then looked around. soon, a ball came rolling to his feet. he looked up when he heard the voice that he loved so much.
his smile grew on his face, and then listened. he laughed out, and said" no, i'm not stalking you. i have a little sister, she likes the park." he looked at the kids, and said" who are they? siblings" he really didn't know anything about her, but he was so interested in this girl, for some reason. and more than his usual interest in girls that he has. i mean usually he just wants to get with the girl, and then leave. but something about this girl made him wanna well stay. he looked up at her and said" please let me know this, why do you hate me so much? i'm harmless, ask my sister." She wasn't expecting him to see at a place like park. He seemed to be the type to be in places like the gym, mall or some bar. Nora had bumped into him at the mall and from that day onwards, she met him where ever she went, it was so strange. They did turn into friends from being complete strangers. But he seemed to show a lot of interest in her than a friend did. He would ask her out all the time, either for lunch, for coffee or for dinner and she refused it all the time. nora may be nice and friendly, but she wasn't the out going type. For her, dealing with new people wasn't easy at all. She was very awkward and clumsy at it. She didn't wanted to make herself uncomfortable or make a fool of herself infront of him. For her, dating and going out was completely pointless.
She realized she was too rude with him, for no reason and it wasn't fair, at all. She had to be nice and kind. He told her that he wasn't stalking her but had brought his little sister to the park.''Oh.. I'm sorry.'' she shook her head. The little girl looked at Nora and Nora smiled. The girl was so cute and her eyes, were so beautiful. She loved kids, just too much. '' Hi babydoll. I'm Nora. What's your name?'' her tone was calm and sweet towards the little girl who joined them. ''Would you like to play with me and them?'' she pointed her finger towards the other little kids who were playing. '' Janet, come here'' she called out the eldest of the kids and Janet ran towards Nora. '' Janet, you all should accompany her and let her play with you, '' Nora said, giving Brandon's sister a gentle push towards Janet and she walked over to the other kids with Janet. Nora turned her attention back to Brandon, hearing his words. She was shocked. She didnt hate him. She was only annoyed how he kept asking her out all the time they.
For her it was quite amusing to see how someone as good looking as him was interested in a girl like Nora all of a sudden. What was in her that she held his attention is such a way? It just didn't make sense at all. '' Oh-n-no no! You're getting it all wrong. I don't hate you. I don't hate anyone, except my dad but that's a different story. '' she rambled, running her hands through her hair. '' I just get very annoyed to hear you ask me out all the time, where ever we meet. '' she whinned. '' but I promise I don' hate you. '' she didn't have any reason to hate him.
He had asked her earlier who were the kids with her and she thought to answer him now. Only to add some light air to their serious conversation, she joked. ''Would you believe it, if I said that they are all my own kids?'' she chuckled. '' By the way, you've a very cute little sister. What's her name?'' she asked, walking with him towards the little kids who were busy playing with the ball. She was glad to see the kids happily playing with each other but she felt sick again. Her head was aching like anything. She had to get back home to get her medicines before something bad happened.

brandon didn't want to seem like he was stalking nora, but he couldn't help that this town was so dang small...and they seem to always have the same plan. it was like they read eachother's thoughts, or they had the same brain. but, whatever it was, they always ran into eachother. yes, even know he liked her, and had interest, he found it quiet odd himself.
his little sister gave her a wierd look and said" i'm anna." she looked at the little girl, and then shrugged. before brandon could say anything to her, she was off with the little girl. brandon just rolled his eyes. he knew his sister was the one to be very well not shy. he knew this since well, urm she was a year old or even less. when she could say hi, she would say hi to everyone that crossed her path. she never failed at suprising her big brother, brandon.
brandon listened to nora talk and then gave a quick chuckle and said" you really seem to dispise me though. " he looked away, as he sat on the grass by himself. his brown eyes stared at nora and then he added " how about you sit down with me? so it doesn't feel so wierd with you standing there." he picked up on the father thing and said" i'd love to hear that story one day.. if that doesn't make me sound wierd or anything." he laughed and then said" i think our brains are connected or something, because we think alike too much, i swear." he chuckled at that thought and then said" ive seen at the mall, and somewhere else before too."
he looked at her and said" well, i'll refrien myself from asking you out this time then." he looked up to her and then laughed. sometimes, she was something else. everytime they ran into eachother, he liked her more than the last time. she was something else, alittle fiesty and he enjoyed that about her. he looked at her and said" honestly, you're good with kids, so i wouldn't. but no, you couldn't. you're still so young, and they're alittle too old." he laughed and said" unless you adopted them, but i doubt that. ' he looked at her and then said" that little punk is anna." he added a smile and then said" she keeps me on my toes. i take care of her alot."
