Trent was back! Brynlee laid back on her bed, her laptop still open on her lap. She wasn't sure how she felt about this. Or rather, she knew how she felt, she just wasn't sure how to act. She loved Trent; she loved everything about him. Their fights, their break ups, their twisted friendship, and most of all, their make ups. Everything in their relationship she lived for, and now that he was back, she wasn't sure what to do with herself. He had been gone three years. In those three years she had flew to California to visit him many times. Every time it had been the same. They'd hate each other or try to be 'just friends' and then, somehow, end up making out on the beach by the time the evening was over and promising that they'd make the distance work. Did it ever? No. But, it was a nice thought.
Since he had left, though, Brynn had been desperately trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life and herself. She just didn't feel right without him by her side. It was strange at how one person could make someone feel so... different. So complete. Brynn considered this as she closed her laptop and stood up from her bed. She ran her fingers through her hair quickly and then slid on her heels. She was going to his house. They had to talk. She grabbed her keys and scooped up her maltipoo from its bed. It was starting to get late, but Brynn didn't care. Normally on a Saturday night she would be out at a college party or something anyhow. This was still early for her.
The drive to Trenton's apartment was rather quick. In less than ten minutes she had pulled up to his apartment building, and in another five, she had made the short trip up to his floor. Now, she stood outside his door with her small dog and purse on one arm and her other arm raised, as if debating knocking. That soon ended, however, as she'd always been one to act first and think later. So, Brynn smiled cheerfully, awaiting him to answer his door after her knock.

Trent closed his computer and layed it on his couch. He had only been back for three days, and he was just starting to settle back into his new apartment. He had been in California for the past three years with his parents, Trents parents loved Brynlee and had even wanted them to get married, but Trent had ended it right after that and since then they had been back and forth more then he could count. Trent had always loved brynlee and did want to get back together with her, but he didnt want to put her threw another break up so he decided not to do it. Trent leaned back in his lazy boy trying to think Trent still had feelings for Brynnle and he kind of thought she still had feelings for him, but he really didn't know. Trent knew they needed to talk so he got up from his chair to put on some shoe's to go over to her house.
Trent finished getting dressed and walked into his kitchen he really was nervous about going to her house he didn't know what he would say, but he figured he would wing it before he could pick up his keys her heard a knock on the door Trent walked over the the door and opened it to she his beautiful friend standing there " B I was just about to come to your house to see you.'' Trent was happy to see her he pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the cheek. He closed the door behind her and motioned for her to come to the leaving room. Trent sat down in his chair patting his lap for her to sit down it was a shot in the dark getting her to sit with him but he figured it was worth the try. Trent smiled at her and said " B I want you to know I moved back so i could be closer to you.

As Trenton pulled open the door, Brynlee grinned childishly. Her small dog squirmed in her arms, and she set the maltipoo down before wrapping her arms around her friend. "Trent! I've missed you," She beamed, trying her hardest not to blush as he kissed her cheek. She really had missed him; in the three years that he lived in California, she hadn't stopped thinking about him. It was amazing at just how much one person could affect someone. While he was gone, Brynlee really didn't know what to do with herself. It was almost as if a piece of her was missing. She probably wouldn't admit that to Trent, but the thought was still there. It was for that reason that Brynlee had made it a point to fly out to California on most breaks from school. Spring, Thanksgiving, Winter, Summer... and chance that she had more than a few days off from school, she had went to visit the boy. Usually, they would resume their relationship for a few weeks -maybe even a month, but then it would always die out by the next break. Brynn almost wondered if they just liked to toy with their own emotions. They'd broken up so many times that their friends really couldn't keep track if they were 'on' or 'off' again. She was never mad over it, though, because she was sure that they both knew they'd end up together again before it was all said and done. It was how they worked.
Releasing her friend from the hug, she half-stepped, half-skipped into his apartment. He closed the door, and Brynn took a second to look around. His apartment was much larger than hers, and even with it not being completely unpacked, it was already more furnished than her apartment. Brynlee's apartment was pretty much furnished with hand-me-down furniture from whatever family member had spares. It wasn't that glamorous, but it was cheap.
She pushed these thoughts away, though, her eyes drifting back to Trent as he sat down in the arm chair. Brynn made her way over to him, plopping down on his lap, and throwing her legs over the arm of her chair. Even if they were just friends, the girl really had no shame. She didn't mind sharing a chair. She looped an arm around his neck and grinned at him. "That's sweet, T." She paused, giving him a wink, before continuing in a semi-joking manner, "But, if I were you, I would have definitely stuck to the beach! Maybe I'm married by now?" Not hardly, Brynn smirked, but she would like to be. She was currently single, and she was certain that Trent was aware of that.

Trent was so happy to be close to Brynlee again, and the fact that she was sitting on his lap made his day ten times better. Trent pulled her close to him, and kissed her on the cheek again." The beach wasn't all that great B I mean the best time i had there was when you where with me.'' Trent really didn't like living at the beach, but he had to do it for his parents, But every time B came to see his family they would make up and end up promising each other they would make it work but they both knew it would come to an end after B went back to Lipton. Trent had asked her more then once to move to California with them but he knew if they broke up again she would be somewhere and she wouldn't know anyone and Trent wouldn't be able to live with his self. Trent kissed B on the cheek again he couldn't help his self he missed the feeling when she kissed him or when she hugged him, but Trent was so afraid to commit to Brynlee but he wanted to so bad he just couldn't bring his self to do it.
Trent put his arm over B's legs pulling her closer" B I can't believe your married how come i didn't get an invite?'' Trent loved that Brynlee would joke around with him. Trent was surprised that Brynlee hadn't moved on from him she was a beautiful girl and could get any guy she tried to which was why Trent was one of the luckiest guys out there him and her started dating when she was a freshmen and they didn't look back threw high school then after he graduated they started to have problems and went from the " IT " couple in high school to the on and off couple. Trent wanted to go back to being the " It " couple and he was willing to do anything he had to to win her back, but he figured that she didn't want him back. Trent looked back to Brynlee and said" Lee I really think we need to talk about whats going on between us.'' Trent kissed B again he couldn't help him self if he could have it his way he would be kissing her on the lips.

Brynlee tapped her nails softly on the back of Trent's neck, studying his facial expressions with a grin. As he spoke, the young adult considered just how nice it was to be close to him again; it really had been too long. "I loved visiting you on the beach." She loved any sort of adventure. Traveling really wasn't something her family did much, so Brynn jumped at any chance she had to go somewhere. Especially if it meant being somewhere like the beach, or somewhere with Trenton. She felt as if he... completed her, in a weird sort of way. At the same time, though, she felt this nagging feeling that they really couldn't make it work. They'd dated for three years with a few break ups here and there. Then, the last three years they had more break ups than most people would have thought possible. It was odd at how they both were still close.
As Trent pulled her closer to him, Brynn gave him a playful smirk. She took her free hand and traced it delicately down the side of his face. "We eloped." She pursed her lips slightly, pretending to put great thought into the rest her answer. She always liked to joked around; her mother sometimes asked her if she could take anything seriously. Brynn didn't mind though; her lighthearted nature made life easier. "It was very romantic." She gave a small wink, letting her hand rest for a few seconds on his cheek, before dropping it all together. She figured that Trent was probably wondering why she hadn't moved on, but Brynn really didn't have an answer to that. It was one of many of the questions that she delicately danced around, as if it didn't exist. Truth was, she loved him. Every minute of their messed up on again, off again relationship thrilled her. She really couldn't see herself with anyone but him. She had tried to date, but it really didn't work. How could it work when Brynn wasn't so sure just who she was without him?
Brynn quickly shoved these thoughts out of her head, stiffening slightly at his words. "Okay..." She paused, studying him cautiously as he leaned in to kiss her cheek yet again. It was hard to focus with him so... like this. She bit her lip slightly, considering what she wanted to say to him. So much came to mind, but so little actually seemed plausible. So, instead, she opted for a less direct approach. "What did you think we need to talk about, T?"

Trent leaned back in the chair he really didn't know what he wanted to say to her. Brynlee was his life he had been with her for almost four years straight, and then on and off for another two years he didn't know what he would be doing if she moved on and forgot about him but he knew soon he would have to man up and ask her to marry him or he would have to let her go, and not hold her back anymore. Trent rubbed Brynlees lower back this was the first time he had been this close to her in months, and he just wanted to sit there and enjoy the time he had with her because after he said what he had to say he wasn't sure how she would take it. Trent knew that he wanted to change, and he wanted to do it just for her. " Well I just wanted to say I still have feelings for you and Lee I want to change for you, can we please work this out?''
Trent sat up to be closer to brynlee when he finished saying all he wanted to say he didn't know what he was going to do, but he knew he was going to have to explain a lot to her. Trent leaned closer to lee and whispered in her ear "Brynlee I still love you." It felt so good to just get that off his chest he kissed her on the check one more time then leaned back into his chair waiting for her to yell at him. Trent kept rubbing her lower back and making little circles getting closer to the spot where she was ticklish. Trent wanted to be back with her more then anything in the world, but it was all up to her now. That ball was in her court, and she had to make the choice for both of them. Trent smiled at her and asked "Is there anything you want to say to me?'' Trent let out a worried sigh hoping what she had to say wouldn't be bad.

Brynlee bit her lip, leaning against Trent now. She joined her hands around his neck, using them to hold herself up. As she felt his hand rubbing her lower back, she couldn't help but to close her eyes for a few seconds. It was a comforting action; it was something that had always calmed her down when she had a mental breakdown of sorts in her high school years. Trent seemed to have sensed that over the years. Brynn's eyes shifted to her lap slightly as Trent's words escaped his lips. She had a feeling that this was what he had wanted to say.
And, truth be told, Brynn did want to be with him. She loved him. She'd told him before that she had wanted to settle down and have a family with him, but he had insisted that they were too young to think about that. Which, was one of the many reasons that they had broken up yet again. She felt like they went through this a lot. Brynn had a habit of waiting on him to apologize, then would always take him back, only for one of them to call it off again in a few months. Dysfunctional? Maybe. But, that's what worked for them.
She felt her mind almost fog over now. Her thoughts trailed as his hand slowly etched its way closer to her ticklish side. She dropped a hand, placing it firmly over his own hand before turning slightly to look at him. She leaned forward, kissing him on his lower jaw softly before grinning at him. She leaned close to his ear, her words considered carefully, almost rehearsed. "I love you," She paused now, her whisper fading as she pulled back. "And, I think we need to work this out. Starting now! We'll make this work, Trent." And, as always, she meant that. Brynlee was determined to get their relationship to work for longer this time. Like it used to.

Trent smiled at Brynlee kissing her on the for head he wanted this to work more then anything else in his life. Trent reached down to the side of his chair pulling the lever to lay the chair down he pulled B closer to him laying with her was the best feeling and he wanted the feeling to last forever he looked over at her kissing her on the lips again he couldn't think of anything else to say or do. Trent looked B in the eyes and smiled at her." I love you more then anything in this world Brynlee, and I promise i will try my hardest to make this work between us." Trent turned on his side putting his arms around her and pulling her to him kissing her on the for head, and laughing. He knew it was going to be hard making it work but he was going to try to change for her he had said it plenty of times and she had be leaved him but this time was different he wanted to start a family with Brynlee and he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life. Trent had always loved her from the first time he had talked to her he knew she was the girl he wanted to be with for the rest of his life he just didn't know why he couldn't commit to her.
Trent put his hand on her lower back and started to tickle her a little Trent made a funny face to B then asked her" Does thes mean we are a couple again because you know that you where always the smart one in the couple." Trent got up from the chair and walked into his room pulling a small box out of his night stand and walked back into the living room to Brynlee. " this isn't what you think it is but i got this for you the last time we where together, and i couldn't give it to you before we ended it." Trent opened the box and pulled out a neck less that he had bought in Cali for her. Trent knew she would like a wedding ring a lot better but it wouldn't be long before she had one of them also. Trent smiled at he laying back down in the chair next to her. " Do you like it?''
