Imagine a deer that is spooked easily by the slightest noise. That is the best way to describe Kyra. She is a very timid person who always assumes she did something wrong and will be hurt because of it. She has a morbid fear of men with no current exception. She has big dreams of following in the footsteps of her father and getting into Yale to become a lawyer.
Her past was not pretty. She was spoiled and loved by her parents. When she was five they adopted a boy two years older than her. for the next five years life was wonderfull. He parets were always away but she got through it because she loved her brother and he loved her back. When she was then though, that changed. He started to bully her, and the bullying led to physical abuse until when she was eleven his assaults moved into something sexual. They have remained like that since then and being the only two people in the large mansion on the outskirts of town, there is nobody to stop it. She has been emotionally and physically damaged by the abuse, and there is nobody she will trust, especially not male.
Other than that, Kyra spooks easily and is very naive, not able to tell lies apart from truth. You could convince her of almost anything. Also, innuendo is not something she understands. Make a perverted joke and she is more likely to turn her head to the side like a dog. Overall though, she is a smart and caring person, just a little too timid for her own good.

Kyra, since she was ten, has not had a friend. To be Kyra's friend, someone would have to be patient around her. For girls it will be easier. She is very excitable and almost hyper if there is only one or two girls around. If any more join or if a guy is involved she will revert back to her fearful self. A friend would be a long term one, and Kyra would be willing to forgive her of nearly any backstabbing. I would Like Kyra to have a few close girlfriends who could be there when she needs them and just to hang out with.
for a male to be her friend it will take a while for her to trust them enough to even be alone with them. They would have to understand that raising their voice above a soft murmur or reaching out to touch her would result in her flinching away. I would like for her to have at least one good guy friend though that she gets used to, one that would stick up for her when need be, and in the end it could perhaps turn into something more.

Being an Enemy with Kyra will be a one sided thing. Insult her and she'll go quiet. Yell at her and she'll back away into a wall. Hit her and she'll cry. She does not know what it means to stick up for herself. Rather than an enemy, Kyra would have a bully.
If anyone is up to being her enemy, it would have to be a rather cruel character who gets pleasure out of tormenting her. They will get no reaction but tears and silence as she will never fight back. I'm always willing to have a bully for her though, for plot purposes.
[/color]For someone like Kyra, friends with benefits is impossible. She is terrified of men, and when someone so much as mentions sex she will freeze up like a doll and it is impossible to talk to her or get any more than one word out of her at a time. Because of this a lover would be extremely difficult. It would have to be someone she has warmed up to without realizing it. Keep in mind that she didn't even trust her own father when he came back for Christmas. This would be a long and probably painful road, as she will try and push them away and it would be hard not to give up.
However, if someone is up for the task feel free. I would prefer for it to be a tougher looking guy, a cardinal original. Just for the sake that they won't be hurt as much as a softer guy would be and would be able to stick by her in the long run. She is also unable to stick up for herself, so when worst comes to worst her partner would have to be someone who can help her with that, and defend her if need be. (Also cause I like many men!) That's just a preference though so anyone willing to take up this situation is free to try!
So just tell me what part your character would like to try. The following are positions I am looking for, but I will take just about any ideals.
- A few good girl friends that she could hang out with and she could make cookies and drink coffee with.
- One close guy friend who she grows to trust. It would be best if he was a little rough around the edges.
- A one sided Enemy. Easier if it is a guy but a girl would work too.
- A lover. Someone who once again is a little rougher around the edges, yet when they get attached they really care about the other. Or just someone who likes to toy with hearts and would result in a heartbreak, that could be interesting too.
