Angel was growing rather tired of her usual same old boring daily routine of school and work but it got worse when she had to pick up extra hours at work to help her mom pay the bills since her step father got laid off from his job a month earlier yet it wasn’t his fault so she wasn’t exactly angry about it either. Tonight was her first night off in two weeks and it was also her turn to cook dinner which she was ecstatic about she was obsessed with cooking and practically had spent all day at the grocery store and the book store to get the right recipe book she wanted just to make sure she got everything right. She finally made it home around five that afternoon and walked into the house to find her kitchen a complete mess food was left out and one of the counters was covered in smudges and a puddle of a yellowish liquid which smelled like scotch, only conclusion was to be made.”MATTHIS!I see that you are home! Now please come here!”she yelled from the kitchen loud enough where her step brother could hear her as she walked towards the sink with the dirty dishes she had picked up to begin to clean them mumbling under her breath about how messy the man was and momentarily was happy that he only came home on the weekends since he lived on the college campus even if she miss him everyday.


“Ouch! Stupid water!”she squealed before she ripped her hand from under the hot water to examine her ‘booboo’ as she put it to her mouth cradling it near her as she walked over to the refrigerator to pull out hello kitty ice packet then placed it on the burn with her free hand. One huge thing about Angel is when it came to the kitchen she was great with the cooking but the girl was extremely clumsy when came to every other part of it, burning herself with hot water was just an example of it and it was not even the worst ‘booboo ‘she had received. All the cussing in frustration she walked up to the kitchen bar and plopped down on of the bar stools looking at her hand trying to get the burning to stop hopefully maybe get the swelling to go down just a tad so it would not hurt as bad when she began to cook. "Where is Matty?I called him and he's still not in here?”She thought while looking around her towards the kitchen entrance with an obvious frown forming on her face. What was it about him that made her so annoyed with him but at the same time want to see his handsome face staring back at her?? It had only been three years since their parents married each other but ever since she laid her eyes on Matthis she’s had it bad for him and was always flirting with him by tickling him or finding some other way just to touch him, he had to know right? Hopefully not her mother Lavonne!

Sadly nothing has come from it and it was clear that he was not interested in his highschooler of a step sister and it depressed the hell out of her because she really starting to believe she was in love with him and seriously wasn’t used to being ignored by the opposite sex since most guys her age tend to like the whole ditzy cute blonde thing. She winced out of pain when she accidentally had pressed down to hard on the burn but went right back to her pity party of ‘being ignored by Matthis’.”I need music!”she said out loud again since it seemed talking to herself was becoming a habit self-consciously and then with that she reached into her messenger bag to pull out her ipod and its speakers to turn on Pandora and smiled happily as she heard one of her favorite songs ‘this I swear’by Nick Lachey. There was no doubt that Angel was not a total sap when it came to romance and adored pop boy band love songs since it was the only thing that made her really giggle like a dork other then seeing Matthis completely drunk trying to use anything electric but she'd never tell him that.

It was time to get to cooking and stop thinking about boys since it was rather pointless at the current moment and finally she stood up to take everything out of the bags to wash the veggies and pull out a pot to boil the water. She was happily singing along with Britney spears when she got hot and took off her white sweater then went back to preparing but swaying her hips getting her groove on was the most entertaining part of her night.In the midst of her dancing escapade she began to think about how she accidentally walked in on Matthis getting out of the shower and how embarrassing it was for him to see her practically blush while apologizing for seeing his naked body before she busted her bum in the hallway outside of the bathroom,god she felt stupid but now the memory of his body was on her mind again.

Matthis was sitting in his room when he heard his step sister yell at him. Oops guess she found the mess in the kitchen. He chuckled at the thought of how pissed off she was that he had made her precious kitchen a mess. Truth be told he had done it on purpose. Matthis thought she looked so beautiful when she was screaming at him. But he would never admit to that, if asked. He liked Angel, though that was another thing he would never admit.

Matthis was always afraid to admit his feelings. That was in big part thanks to his parents. His mother had died when he was ten. They had been extremely close to her, she had been his best friend. After she died his father had pretty much acted like he didn't exist. Matthis had become the stereotypical bad boy. He skipped school, started smoking, had his first drink by sixteen, lost his v card when he was fifteen, got kicked out of every prep school his father had put him in. The one thing he had done though was graduate high school. He had promised his mom he would go to college. And that was exactly what he was doing now.

He was going to college for to be a case worker for foster children, that was something else that nobody but Angel knew about. For some reason as soon as he had met her he had told her things he had never told anybody.

Matthis sighed and got up from the big fluffy chair in his room. His sweat pants sat low on his hips and he had no shirt on. Seeing as a half hour before he had been working out. He made his way down stairs and toward the music that he knew was coming from the kitchen.

As he walked into the kitchen he stopped and leaned against the door. Angel was singing and dance as she made dinner. He'd be lying if he said right now he wasn't grateful for his lose fitting sweat pants. Just the site of her little butt moving around made him very happy. He slowly made his way up behind her without making a noise. He put his arms around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry I made a mess." He said with his best puppy dog face.

Angel was off in own little world dancing, cooking dinner and fantasizing about Matthis’s naked body which was making her way too happy when felt someone touching her knocking her back down to earth. She bit down on her lip before shaking her head as she stirred the frying meat in the skillet around,”It’s okay but I should make you make it up to me somehow...”she said softly leaving the last part to the imagination then she pressed her lower body against him for a moment before wiggling out of his grip to pick up the cooked meat off the stove and placed it on the counter behind her.Usually angel’s ways of flirting were rather innocent but not when it came to Matthis because he brought out that crazy intense sexual attraction which was becoming harder and harder to contain to herself whenever he was around and here he was half naked standing not even four feet from her.All she could was a take a breath and walk over to other side of the kitchen to began to find the things she was going to need to make the spaghetti sauce.


"Matt,can you be a dear and switch the station on my pandora to O-Town?It's right underneath o-tep."she asked him sweetly over her shoulder as she ransacked the bottom cabinet for two metal pots while the clanging of the pots were annoying her to death then stood up after finding them finally. Minutes later she had everything ready and cooking on the stove then it was time to finally face him.

She walked towards him finally with only the clanging of her boots against the tiled floor and her own heart beat hitting her chest out of nerves and whatever else that was going through her mind. She smiled at him as she stood infront of him to place her hand on his chest,"Now how are you going to make it up to me?"she teased.
