hey guys!
this thread is just here to let you all know what will be going down tomorrow. tomorrow is the official start of the brand new secrets! what does this mean? well, i know that we've all already started to role play and create new characters, and that's fine! the only really changes in the site will involve house keeping, appearance, and general things. so, i just thought you would all like a heads up on what's going to be going on. (:
to start with, the site will officially be in summer. any threads taking place from this point on will either occur at the end of the school year (last week or two of may) or in june. threads that have taken place since secrets originally ended will take place in the board titled 'the past.' you can find this board under 'other locations.' the site was in december when we were last running, so keep in mind that six months have passed.
due to the time change, new secrets are encouraged and welcomed! please keep in mind that if your character was pregnant, you MUST post with a new secret for them. as they have had, or are about to have, their baby. the only characters that are an exception to this rule are characters that have been made in the year 2012. you know who you are, so please make sure that you have done so by the end of this week! this also means that the ban on pregnancies has been lifted.
the next thing that will change is the site layout. since it will be summer, i'm excited to announce that we have a simple and pretty summer themed layout for the site! woo! anne and i have worked hard on the layout and have put a ton of consideration into which way to go with it. i can't wait to get that up and live for you all tomorrow! if you want a preview of the layout, just send me a pm and i'd be happy to let you have a sneak peek. but, it'll go live tomorrow.
another important thing to note is that the characters to keep thread will close tomorrow!!! i'll close it around three EST time, which is the default time for the site. please, please, please, please, please make sure that you have quadruple checked to make sure that ALL of your characters are listed in that thread. if not, post immediately! i don't want to see any accidental deletions happening.
the claims list will also be updated tomorrow due to many characters being deleted. this brings up the next major point. make sure that the claims (namely face claim!) for all of you characaters have been posted. if they're not up by the time the claims list is done being updated, you will not be allowed to post again until that character has posted in the claims. yes, this sucks, but it is needed. how else will we be able to keep track of taken face claims?
member groups will be changed tomorrow. a thread should be posted to elaborate on this later tonight. all freshmen characters will become sophomores. sophomores will be juniors. juniors will be seniors. senior characters will need to post in a thread to let me know if they will now be a college student or a local. locals and college students will also need to post in a thread to let me know if you will be a local/college student. if any character has failed a grade, or you simply wish that they do not move up a grade level, you will need to pm me ASAP! this is super imporant!
i think that pretty much covers the updates for tomorrow. if i think of something else, i will be sure to add it to this thread. all of this will go down around three EST tomorrow, which is the default time for the site. if you have any questions, concerns, comments, or anything at all please just send me a pm! thank you all!
