tonight alexis had a date, that she was pretty excited for. of course, it was hard for her to shake the nerves in her body. usually on a first date, the two going on the date were a bit nervous. there were so many things that could wrong, however, so many thing could go right as well. right now she was getting ready, doing her make up, and deciding what was the best outfit to wear. earlier that morning she had gone shopping, because she wanted to look really cute for dakota. she had the biggest crush on him, and she almost went crazy when she found out that he would go on a date with her. so that morning she ran out and bought some cute outfits on sale, she didn't have the most money right now, paying for college was tough. though she kept some money aside to pay for their date. she headed over to her closet, and put on the outfit that she thought he would like the best. and then she walked over to her mirror and finished applying all of her makeup. once she was done, she smiled to herself. she thought she looked all right, even with her insecurities, so she was hoping that he thought she looked pretty.
she made her way out to her car, and headed to olive garden. she was meeting him there, they were going to eat, and then maybe they would do something else after. however, if this ended in disaster, she wanted to have her car to be able to take herself home. though she really was hoping for the best. when she got there, she got out of her car and made her way towards the front door. the air outside was a little chilly, and if she kept standing there she was sure to be cold. there was always a little lobby in the front of olive garden, so she was going to sit in there. she walked into olive garden, and smiled and said hi to the person running the front desk. she sat down and waited for dakota to arrive.

Kicking some clothes aside Dakota sighed, clearly he really needed to go shopping but with no money and his rent to pay he was really out of luck there. He had a date though, and he really wanted to look nice since he really liked Alexis and he never really liked a girl before she he wanted everything to go well for him. Picking up a shirt from his floor he pulled it on running his fingers through his hair, he had a pretty small place and clothes were all around. He never quite knew what was clean and what was dirty, shrugging he grabbed his keys heading out side. He was sure he was going to be late, he always was. Getting into his car, sticking his key in the ignition he groaned when it didn’t start. “Go figure” he mumbled turning it again keeping his fingers crossed pretty much cheering at the sound of the engine starting.
“Oh thank god” he mumbled pulling out and heading to Olive Garden, it was actually almost funny that they decided to meet up. Seeing as this was a date, but he didn’t think much else of it and getting to the Olive Garden, fifteen minutes late he frowned getting out walking inside over to Alexis. “I’m so sorry I’m late Lex, my car wouldn’t start” he sighed a little bit giving her a sheepish smile. It was the truth too, his car was really just a piece of junk and if he had the money, and he didn’t, he would get a new one. Heck he didn’t even have food in his apartment half the time, he was just a broke college student.

it had been fifteen minutes, and alexis was still waiting. she was sure that he wouldn't ditch her, he didn't really seem like the type of guy who would do that. or would he? she took a deep breath and pulled her phone out of the bag, checking the time to make sure it was correct with the clock in olive garden. it was. he was about fifteen minutes late, but she had a feeling that he would show up. her eyes drifted to the door, wanting him to come in. finally, he did walk in, and her smile brightened. "hey dakky!" she said, getting up to give him a hug. "oh, your car wouldn't start? well that's okay.. as long as you weren't trying to ditch me or anything." she said, before walking over to the counter, before the person standing there led them to their tables.
alexis sat down in her seat and began looking at the menu. there were so many good choices and she honestly didn't know which one to pick. she took a deep breath, and glanced over at dakky. he was looking very cute tonight, but then again the boy always looked cute. there was never a night when he didn't look amazing, and tonight was no different. "so what do you think you'll get to eat?" she asked, setting her menu down. she was debating between ravioli and some alfredo, her two main choices whenever she came to olive garden. "and thanks for coming tonight. i really appreciate it."

Dakota sometimes really hated his car and the fact that there was so much going on with it that he just couldn’t fix, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it. With his rent to pay, and the things he had to buy each week he was always pretty low on cash and his parents were obviously no help since they pretty much threw him out of their lives years ago saying that they downright hated their son. Dakota always tried to make them like him too, but it was just no use in even really trying anymore and getting to the Olive Garden he smiled when she hugged him. “No I wasn’t going to ditch you, it’s just my car isn’t in the best condition and I don’t really have the money to get it fixed or anything” he said going and taking his seat.
Glancing at the menu he pondered on what he was going to get, since everything always looked pretty good and he always wanted more them one thing. Maybe that was how he always ended up broke, since he was never one for managing money well. “Hmm I’m not really sure yet” he said looking at Alexis taking in how beautiful she looked with a smile, okay she always looked beautiful but something about her tonight, she looked even more beautiful. “Oh yeah you’re welcome” he nodded his head, “I wasn’t going to miss a night out with you for anything” and that was true.

lexi was lucky that her car happened to work for her. there were a few times when it failed on her, but no car was perfect, just like no person was perfect. of course, she couldn't really afford right now to get a new car, even if she wanted one. being a college student was tough, and she was lucky enough to be able to get things that weren't ramen and spaghettios all the time. but of course she wasn't suffering, her family had plenty of money, and if she ever needed some she could ask her parents to send some for her, however she liked to be on her own, and not rely on people. "well if you ever need money, i can try and help you out," she said. she'd much rather spend her money on him, and not herself.
"me either," she said, thinking about what was the better choice. of course, if there was to be a kiss tonight, she didn't want anything that could give her a bad breath, like anything containing garlic. she twisted a strand of hair around her finger, a habit that she had since she was a little girl. "but i think i know now," she said a few seconds later, setting her menu aside and looking at dakota. now she was studying his face. he was a very handsome boy, with a great smile and beautiful eyes. she felt lucky that he came on a date with her, even if nothing came out of this. as a person he was lovely, and he was great looking, which was the plus. when he said that he wouldn't miss a night out with her for nothing, she blushed a little bit, and couldn't hold back a smile. "i'm thinking the same thing, really." she said.

A lot of things Dakota had seemed to just fail on him a lot lately, something that was bound to happen being a college student just trying to get by with the little money he had while getting nothing from his family that pretty much hated him. He never did understand why but he decided not to question it, even though he always wished that his parents’ view of him could change somehow. That came with no prevail so he tried to just push that thought always out of his mind, “Oh no I couldn’t take money from you, I’d rather really just go and continue eating ramen noodles then do that. That’s your money, not mine” he shook his head looking down at the menu again.
“Hmm well I’m the kind of person who would eat about anything so I always have the problem of not knowing what to get when I go somewhere” he shrugged. He liked food and there was nothing wrong with liking food, glancing at Alexis he smiled watching her for a minute. The way she twisted her hair between her fingers, her cute smile; it made him really just like her more. “Oh you were?” he asked when she said she was thinking just the same thing as he was, that was good right? He guessed that it had to be good, okay no he hoped that it was good since he was already really nervous and knowing that she wanted to be here with him on this date. That would just be something that could calm his nerves a little bit. “Wow I’m nervous” he mumbled not even knowing he just said that out load and mentally smacking his self when he noticed he did.
