Markus had decided to get out and enjoy the mild weather. It had been so cold lately that any little bit of warmth was a welcome sign. He figured he'd take a walk around the mall and see if he couldn't find a few more things for Bliss' upcoming birthday. His baby girl would be turning five years old and he was so excited to be planning the party. Of course he wanted to go out and buy the whole toy store for her but couldn't afford it. He'd been making a lot of money with his shows lately as well as his salary for the band teacher over at the high school. So he would have enough to get her a few really nice presents. He wanted to buy her a few new outfits, but Markus was so lost when it came to picking out clothes for girls. Maybe one of the nice sales ladies would help him find her something.
He had woken up early to see Danny to the bus and drive Bliss over to daycare. After eating a quick breakfast of high-sugar cereal and getting dressed in jeans and a tee he was ready to leave. He headed out to his car and blared some loud, cali-punk music as he drove. His fingers drummed against the steering wheel of his blue '69 Ford Thunderbird, a car he'd saved up years to be able to afford and restore. After arriving at the mall he was unsure where to begin shopping. The loud noises of a toy shop caught his attention first as his inner child urged him to go look. He browsed around and left the store empty handed though promised the shop keep that he'd come by on his way out and purchase the new barbie vet collection they'd come out with. He headed closer into the belly of the beast so to speak and found himself inside of Gap. He chewed on his lower lip as his brown eyes scanned the signs for the girls' section. An easy going grin took over as he languidly made his way into the middle of the girl's section. The space between his eyebrows wrinkled in confusion, realizing he wasn't even sure what she'd wear. She loved to dress kind of random, leopard tights with a jean skirt and a vest. Bliss adored Converses, probably because her Uncle Kiedis loved them. He looked down at the pair he currently wore that were shredded with age. A fond smile momentarily graced his lips. He loved that child as if she were his own.
Markus picked up a pair of girl's jeans with a puzzled expression on his face. He checked the size on them before sighing and moving on. His eyes lit up as he spotted a pair of girls' plaid pants. Those would be perfect with the Ramones shirt she'd picked out a couple of weeks ago! He quickly hurried over and picked them up in triumph. He then made his way to the shirts. They were set up as a wall capable of being accessed from either side. He found a few cute ones and picked out a shirt that read 'Rockstar in training' across the front. He was worried he wouldn't be able to find anything really nice for her. Until his eyes spotted an adorable little dress with a tutu bottom, something he knew Bliss would love.
