she looked at me, and this is what she said, there aint no rest for the wickedGabriel sat back in his seat, his feet crossed at the ankles and casually propped on the seat in front of his. Rehearsals were fun for the most part, but even Gabe couldn't deny waiting for others to settle and the stage to get set up could be rather time stretching. However, with the aid of a few friends and a few entertaining personalities, Gabe was able to quench his boredom and he smiled up at one of his friends while the friend joked and talked about some funny story involving his girlfriend. Gabe laughed at the punch line and time progressed, eventually rehearsals were ready to take place and the tall seventeen year old stood up, script in hand.
Gabe found himself backstage, ready to go up for his part when his cell phone rang from his back pocket, which he would usually ignore if it weren't for the fact that people rarely texted or called while he was at rehearsals. Gabe disappeared around the corner to take the call and after a few moments of standing with his brows knit and talking to the person on the other line, he walked back into backstage and told someone he had to go. Now Gabe rarely left rehearsals, but some calls were simply to hard to ignore. He walked out to the lot after collecting his things, the night early but the sky ink black, and loaded himself into his small, hand-me-down car. As he drove, his ring coated fingers drumming on the steering wheel and his brows knit in concern, he thought about Shane, whom the call was from. He adored the girl, but sometimes the sophomore had a habit of parting almost to hard.
Once Gabe pulled into Sparkles he stuck his head out the window, looking for the young girl before climbing out. The corners of the lot were masked by the night shadows, so he sent a text telling her he was there and got out, leaning against his car while looking out for his friend. He didn't trust one of her friends to take her home, since they most likely just as drunken as she was, and felt a little bit of bitter resentment towards her drinking buddies for encouraging the excessive parting. Then again, she could have always come alone, but he felt better thinking that she at least had someone she knew with her, and not some middle aged, grimy man macking on her while she was alone. Yes, Gabe felt those little protective, brotherly things with Shane, even if she was just a close friend and he had two sisters at home. please , PLEASE, FORGIVE ME, BUT I WON'T BE HOME AGAIN. MAYBE SOMEDAY YOU'LL LOOK UP, AND BARELY CONSCIOUS, YOU'LL SAY TO NO ONE, "ISN'T SOMETHING MISSING?" YOU WON'T CRY FOR MY ABSENCE, I KNOW. YOU FORGOT ME LONG AGO. AM I SO UNIMPORTANT? AM I SO INSIGNIFICANT? ISN'T SOMETHING MISSING...? ISN'T SOMEONE . . . |
[/size][/div] missing me? Shane Swan, wasn't a good girl. She had lost her virginity when she was fifteen, to her sister's boyfriend. She was far from being a good girl. That was why she was here at Sparkles! She stashed her fake ID back into her back pocket and made her way over to the coat check. She shucked her black leather jacket and handed it to the good looking coat attendant, she winked at him as he handed her her number. She pushed her hair off her shoulder and made her way over to the bar. She relished the light click of her high heels hitting the concrete floors.
She found a stool at the bar and perched herself on top of it. She smiled a sweet smile at the guy behind the bar. "O-RG on the beach, please."
[/b] She ordered her favorite drink. When the bartender came back with her drink she thanked him and handed him a ten. She sipped her drink as she took in the club. Despite her bad girl ways she didn't ever go out alone, but Gabe was at rehearsal and she couldn't wait to get smashed. Her sister just couldn't stop talking about Able, and all the stuff he had done for her on Valentine's Day. All Shane wanted to do was yell in her face that Able was fucking her behind her back. Shane had been having a relationship with her sister's boyfriend for almost three years now. She was in love with Able, but she couldn't see Able loving her too. The bad conversation had gone from bad to worse when Able had called, Shane's sister had gone into her gushy self. Telling Able she loved him and couldn't wait to see him. When her sister had put Able on speaker phone, Shane had excused herself after she heard Able tell her sister he loved her. Shane couldn't take it. She had gotten dressed up and had left the house. Shane caught the eye of a tall blonde at the corner of the bar. His smile widened as he saw she was looking at him. She downed her drink and stood up making her way over to him. She staggered a little when she stood up from chugging her drink. She leaned against the bar next the blonde. "Well hello there."[/b] She slightly slurred. She was sixteen after all. They talked for about twenty minutes before he had tried to get her to leave with him. She had had three more O-RG on the Beach by then. She was more then a little drunk. She told him no and tried to walk back out to her car. She was half way there when he came out from behind the building, how he had gotten there before her she didn't know. He followed her too her car, he had waited till she was trying to grab her keys out of her coat before he grabbed her from behind. Shane couldn't think straight all she knew was that she was scared out of her mind. Even in her drunken state she was able to fight him off. She quickly unlocked her door and jumped in locking it behind her. By then he had been scared off by all the commotion she had caused. Shane pulled her phone out of the middle console of her car. She scrolled through the numbers, tears blurring them slightly. She stopped at Able's before she remembered he was with her sister tonight. She finally landed on the one person she knew she could count on and pressed send. When the phone was picked up she started crying harder. "Gabe, I need you please. I'm at Sparkles! Some guy just attacked me in the parking lot. I'm so scared. "[/b] She rambled quickly. she looked at me, and this is what she said, there aint no rest for the wickedGabriel wasn't usually a fighter, and was happy to say that he didn't really fight often. He would defend himself or others when need be, of course, but rarely started anything. However, after a few seconds of seeing if he could spot Shane he took off, sprinting around the building and thinking he be more then happy to run into the bastard that would attack and scare a sixteen year old girl in the first place. He looked for Shanes car amongst the others, and when he spot it he was relieved to see her safely inside.
Gabe had his fair share of abuse; being openly gay seemed to upset some people. He was bullied some, and even got in a physical fight or two, but he was always able to keep his head high, despite how scared or ashamed he had been. He hated that one of his friends were feeling violated, and he walked around the back of her car and wrapped lightly on the window. He wasn't sure he scared her, so he added a "Shane, its me! Gabe. Its alright, I don't see anyone out here." besides the few people standing in the front of Sparkles, but they seemed so far away from where Shanes car sat. He didn't bother trying to open her door, since she was probably scared out of her wits and would open it if she wanted to. No doubt the doors were locked. However, he really wanted to comfort his friend, who may as well be a little sister.
But that's not the only thing Gabe wanted. He wanted to confront the asshole that did this, and his anger reeled its ugly head deep within him. He wasn't upset or angered easily, but there were some exceptional situations. This was one of them. He wanted to teach the guy a valuable lesson on respect, but for the Shanes sake the only thing he let show was the obvious concern that laced his face and shown in his blue, eyeliner rimmed eyes.
