Rayne looked in the mirror, and smiled to himself. Today was going to be a good day of joyous laughter, and maybe an arrest or two. Today he was going to crash Trisha’s wedding. Not alone of course, Patrick had already agreed. Trisha was the girl that Rayne had been sure he was going to marry, that he had wanted to marry. He had even gone as far to buy the ring, though not a day later she broke up with him. Then two weeks after that, she was engaged to some other guy. Rayne guessed that she had been cheating on him, and it didn’t shock. When he looked back on it he saw all the signs; she was moody, distant, and she didn’t say “I love you” as much. Almost every time Rayne had to tell her first.
Fixing his bow-tie one last time he felt ready, so he slipped on his shoes. He whistled throughout his house, a merry tune to tell himself that this would be great. Rayne and Patrick had planned on going as a couple, because that was just hilarious. It wasn’t really a stretch for them either, because they acted gay towards each other all the time. As a joke of course, knowing both of them were super straight. It was all for the laughs, because that’s what Rayne knew best.
Rayne took out his Iphone out to text Rayne that he was on his way, and to wake up and get ready if he wasn’t already. The beat up red car in his driveway depressed him as much as it made him happy. The car was the one he had bought when he was sixteen, and it had been such a loyal car ever since. Of course every now and then he had to hit the engine with a hammer, and the AC only worked every other day. Besides that it was amazing.
He stepped elegantly out of his car, along with his white can and white top hat. So maybe Rayne took things to far sometimes, but right now the girl deserved. Rayne had brought out a powder blue suit, saddle shoes, and his white top hat and cane. The top had was bought as a Halloween costume last year, since he had gone as Excalibur from Soul Eater. He walked like Willy Wonka up the front step of Patricks, and knocked. A grin on his face, oh he was happy.

The very thought of crashing a wedding excited him, in fact on a list of things he wanted to do this was probably in about the top ten. What made it only better was the fact that he would be crashing said wedding with one of his closed friends, Rayne. Other than Apollo Rayne was his second other half, like his older brother in a way and in many ways Patrick really looked up to him even though on certain occasions he knew he probably shouldn’t. Patrick didn’t have siblings though and his father was pretty much nonexistent, he had been even before the divorce where he just treated his son like he was a burden upon him and his mother being protective and even babying him. That might have been part of the reason he liked to do what he called, self medication, aka a mixture of drugs and alcohol. He knew it was stupid, but he did it anyway and if he died he died. There wasn’t much to it, glancing in his mirror he placed the sunglasses on his face giving a slight lop sided smile.
He looked so ridiculous, but that was the whole point. Wearing a pair of dark sunglasses, a suit in a ridiculous color, mind you he didn’t wear suits much regardless and slightly too big shoes. Dress to impress he thought with a laugh running his fingers through his slightly curly and very unkempt hair, no way was he going to fix his hair. Besides the unkempt look suited him, okay maybe he’ll fix it a little better. Running his fingers through his hair once more he sighed, only Rayne could cause him to do such ridiculous things as this, dressing up in this way and crashing a wedding. He was pretty sure they were at risk of getting arrested for something like this, and since Patrick was eighteen now, you can just guess the outcome. Sure he was picked up a lot by the cops as a kid though, being a trouble making he was in trouble every other day in fact. He was a pretty bad kid in the views of some people, in some ways he was but he wasn’t the kind of person who would sell drugs or something. He would never do that, and around his cousins he was clean and sober. There was no way he was going to let his cousins see him in that way, he knew just how stupid he was but he didn’t want them to know too.
Hearing the knock on the door he took a deep breath fixing his sleeve before heading to the door, he knew just who was there. Opening the door he grinned, “Hey Rayne you ready” he laughed. Rayne looked more ridiculous then he did, go figure.

Rayne could be a jerk sometimes, really. Though now he felt that it was perfectly needed, her started to think of the setbacks. The only one he could think of that made his smile slip down was being arrested, and even then... He shook his head and crossed his ankles and leaned heavily on his cane, Willy Wonka style. He tapped his black and white saddle shoes on the front porch, waiting patiently. So what if he was arrested? The penalty for crashing a wedding couldn’t be that bad, could it? He could just imagine standing before a judge and they old man screaming “ ten years in prison for crashing a wedding!” He also remembered that Trisha’s uncle was a court judge, and he shivered.
He was still thinking when Patrick opened the door, but he was roused from his deep thoughts of being arrested by the mere color of his suit. Rayne laughed happily before saying, ” Well doll, you have met all my expectations.” He spoke in a very posh, flamboyant voice. He even cocked his hip and wagged his finger a bit, and then he laughed again. ”So are you ready to go, and crash this wedding?” Rayne knew that Patrick hadn’t like Trisha, but spite one of his best friends warnings Rayne had went on with it. He felt almost dumb when he thought about it sometimes. Then other times he felt like he should have just listened a lot more. Rayne knew one thing though, and that was that next time he would for sure ask Patricks opinion before doing something as stupid as buying a ring.
Rayne trotted back out his car, whistling and skipping. He slapped the hood of his car and jumped in, ready to get moving. The wedding started in about an hour, and it would most of that time to get there. Trisha was having her wedding on a horse farm, the place she had been dreaming of since a child. He had been told that so many times, from her own mouth. They had talked of weddings so many times during their relationship he was so sure it would happen between them, what a fool he was. Sticking his key back in and he prayed the car would turn on again, and he was met by the blissful sound of the engine purring. Oh how it was like the laugh of an angel to his ears. Rayne took it as a blessing that everything they planned would go smoothly

Patrick knew he was a jerk, in fact more than once he was called a jerk by people, even his friends. Not that it really mattered all that much to him though, he was who he was and his friends mostly accepted that and the people who didn’t he wasn’t friends with them. It was really just as simple as that, he wasn’t going to bother with those people that didn’t like being around him right. Now, that would just be a stupid thing for him to do. Thinking about that idea of going to jail for crashing a wedding, though it did frighten him didn’t sound that bad. At least he would have a hilarious story to tell, and he was sure the cops would get a kick out of it too; the boy already knew most of them. He was taken home by the cops a lot, he thought their cop cars were awesome, and it was even better when sitting in the back. His mother on the other hand, she was pretty sure her son was on his way of committing a murder.
“Why thank you dear, you look amazing as well” he laughed a little bit talking in pretty much the same way as Rayne and the funny thing is, he really could pull it off. Maybe the years of acting paid off, he could totally pull off being a gay guy now. “Oh yes I’m totally ready for this” he said giving Rayne a thumbs up, this was total pay back for breaking one of my best friend’s heart was the only thing going through his mind. Truth is, Patrick never liked Trisha and more than once he warned Rayne about her saying that something was just off about her. His feelings of that only increased and the moment Rayne bought that ring, he was pretty sure his friend was doing the wrong thing and boy was Patrick right. He usually was good at those kinds of things, those “I told you so” moments.
Sighing a little Patrick followed Rayne to his car, which he really did think had to be upgraded. Then again, he also had no room to talk since he didn’t have a car or his license for that matter; sure he did have his permit and all but that dang driving test. Patrick couldn’t even count how many times he flunked that dang thing, so even at eighteen he wasn’t even close to ever having his license. Not that he minded anyways, he had plenty of other people to drive him around. Jumping into Rayne’s car he grinned, this was going to be so totally awesome in the words of him and his friends.
