Julian Ashford Holmes. Twenty-six. Sociopath. Genuis. Bisexual? Single.
Julian Ashford Holmes was born two days before Christmas eve in a flat just outside London, England. He was the second-born child of Juliana and Harold Holmes, leaving him with a nearly as impossible older brother named Bradley. Julian was an inquizitive child who was fascinated by the world around him. But it seemed by the time he was five or six years of age he'd grown bored with the world. As though there was nothing left to discover. The fascination turned to impulsitivity, as well as a borderline unhealthy obsession with mystery and crime novels. Things were mundane in the Holmes household until the boys we were well into primary school. Julian and Bradley were extremely competative with one another as they entered school. Both of them having high IQs and being equally as stubborn led to many battles in home both in physical and intellectual realms.
Julian excelled in all of his classes during primary school. Though, his intelligence soon outgrew the cirriculum and he became bored. The boredom, as it was at home, became desctructive. He'd regularly battle the teacher's wit over the subject matter or else his mind would wander on to other things. Though his grades always stayed exceptional, it was clear to the faculty and his parents that he needed to be moved up a grade or two. The summer after his first year of middle school his teachers decided to move him ahead two grades, placing him in Year Nine. The same year as his brother Bradley. Now the Holmes boys were constantly competing. Julian was obviously as intelligent as his brother and Bradley couldn't stand that! The two continued this pattern on through graduation.
Julian graduated two years ahead of his friends and immediately enrolled in University as a science and criminal investigation double major. Julian grew bored of the monotony that was Uni and ended up dropping out halfway through his sophomore year. He found himself a flat and moved away from his parents. Eventually he began "working" with the local authorities, though without a paycheck. His rent was made every month, courtesy of the police, but he never directly took a check. His landlady, Mrs. Hudson, was more than accepting of the oddball who moved into her building. At first she was a little alarmed at Julian's behavior, though grew acustomed and became a second mother to him. Julian became a regular at crime scenes where he worked his intellectual magic and made his name into a household common. Two years ago he met a Dr. John Watson through one of the police. Immediately he invited John to be his flatmate and the two have been together ever since. Julian and John have a dysfunctional relationship that most assume is sexual in nature, though they've never gone there.
Three months ago Julian found out Moriarty was plotting a big crime spree in the States. Immediately intrigued as to why he'd go there of all places, Julian trailed him. He ended up following Moriarty here, to Lipton, and has settled in with John to do "research."
Being such an odd person he doesn't have many friends. John has, thusfar, proven to be the only solid friendship he's maintained. This is open for plotting!
People question about his sexuality and relationship status all of the time. Though he's not had a steady girlfriend since Uni, people always assume he's dating someone secret. Either that or they accuse he and John of being a couple. Open for plotting though John will eventually be his future and final.
Due to his lack of empathy or emotions for most people he'd have a lot of enemies. Also, he has an arch-rival named Moriarty who has a vendetta against him.
