Jesse was born in Chicago, IL, to Millicent and Roger Abel, the middle child in the Abel family, he has a little brother he dotes on and a big brother who taught him everything he knows. He is big on sports, especially soccer and football, as is his brothers. He was named after the famous outlaw Jesse James. He is a hardworker, but doubts his own competence as a successful doctor, despite spending a lot of time with his nose in a book. Jesse enjoys parties and has a special penchant for a good game of beer pong. However, he knows when to knuckle down and do something, despite procrastination issues. He stays calm in all situations, and is deeply logical and rational. He thinks with the mind of a doctor.

Jesse is friendly and approachable, he always seems to have a smile on his face, even when the going gets tough. He is incredibly loyal to his friends and will stand by them no matter what. He has a lot of heart, and is kind to everyone he meets, whatever their impressions of him may be.

Jesse will no doubt have people who don't like him, but he certainly doesn't intend to seek out people and pick fights with them. Jesse keeps on the down-low and tends not to attract much attention to himself. However, his desire to stick up for his friends no matter what can land him in trouble with people.

Jesse isn't much for socially awkward hook-ups and has just got out of a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Kate. They broke up due to the stress of a long distance relationship as she moved away from college. Jesse is generally a loyal, caring person but prefers a slow-burn relationship rather than one night stands. That's not to say he's never had one though...
